Firefly was overrated, and everybody on this island knows it!
The Aqua Buddha was meditating under the Dome of Water in Aquarius when he felt the Destroyer Head crash into the Aquarian Ocean. "What the..." he said. He ordered his priests to get the people to safety. He then used his Trident of Woe to divert the waves from causing too much destruction, but he could not stop it completely. It was part of Nature...
On the eastern shore of Primeva, the Aqua Buddha had been busy since the Battle of Lighton. The Dome of Water he created 20 years ago, with the Trident of Woe, still remained. His new worshipers (the aquatic Mashileen and Kragothi, plus other races like Humans, Roocaf, and Primevans) built a city around the dome that he wanted to be called Aquarius, because he always thought the name was cool. They ended up calling the large body of water east of the city the Aquarian Ocean; once again the Aqua Buddha thought it was cool. He spent his days within the dome meditating about life, teaching his worshipers about how cool life was, and resolving any disputes brought before him.
When some of his clergy asked if he was concerned about another war coming, the Aqua Buddha told them this:
"Dudes, life is what it is. If war comes we will deal with it, and if peace comes we will deal with that too. Deal with stuff when it comes, not when it doesn't come." His worshipers were amazed at his wisdom, and his scribe quickly wrote it down on a scroll.
One day a old, human fishermen arrived to speak to the Aqua Buddha, and he listened.
"My god, during a fishing trip I discovered a new island. It is beautiful, and it has much life and vegetation, but it also has dangerous parts to it as well. I sailed around it several times and caught many fish. I ask your wisdom now to name it."
The Aqua Buddha carefully considered it. He needed a name that was both beautiful and dangerous. Then the perfect name came to him; it was memory from another world.
"Let's call the island...Paizo! That is a cool name. You want some Aquarian Ale, dude? They make it for me here."

"Dudes, why are you fighting over this giant fork? Its not worth it! Lets all get some beers and..."
At that moment they feel the Destroyer explode, and Aqua Buddha sees a dark cloud of obsidion ash descend on them. Aqua Buddha, aided by the trident, creates a giant dome of water that protects him, the Mashileen, and the Krageri from the falling debris.
"Man, that was close. I didn't want that black stuff getting on my diving suit. Now, dudes, about this trident..."
Aqua Buddha is stunned to see the Mashileen and Krageri kneeling and chanting his name.
"Woe." He says.
The hatred of years, the darkness of thousands pours itself upon the strangert. It washes over him and away, and is left purified once more, a mighty weapon of lightning and power. The amphibious people pray to him, "guide us, wise one. Show us the way to peace."
The Aqua Buddha does guide the Mashileen and Krageri to peace. He directs them to build a city around the Dome of Water, and to call it Aquarius. He remained under the dome, and meditated day and night. A clergy developed around him devoted to peace, water, and meditation. His people also, at his command, create a form of Earth's beer; they call it Aquarian Ale. The Mashileen and Krageri also name the great body of water east of the continent of Primeva; they call it the Aquarian Ocean.
Dudes, the End really is coming. We all feel it. You can stay in deniel all you want, but you feel it coming. It could be zombies, plagues, aliens, wars, another planet crashing into or even Jesus coming back. It doesn't matter. Dudes, get ready...

A lot has been going on in the great ocean east of Primeva.
The man, dressed in diving gear, looks around at the beach and the land and his eyes open wide. He has never seen this land before. He stands up and then falls down again. It takes him a moment to gain his balance, and then he tries it again. This time he stays on his feet.
He walks up on the beach for a time, until he sees a group of people up ahead. They do not look "human" to the man (they have gills, webbed feet, etc.) but he doesn't mind. They are actual people and he will go to talk to them.
He walks over to them with a big smile and he puts out his hand.

i suspect sarcasm, but I'll play the game
Mashileen and Krageri face off in pointless battle.
They struggle for a weapon filled with godly power and the sorrows of an entire dispossessed race. When one takes it, they invariably strike themselves down with it. Yet still they fight over it.
Suddenly they take notice of this strange man and his inexplicable appearance. They face him and each other, standing around the trident of woe, the Bitter Fork, and gauge each other warily. This is weird. I am not in Kentucky anymore. These fish folk are fighting over that big fork. Tgey call it a Trident of Woe. I reach out and take it. Why are they fighting over a fork? Wow, I need to just chill out. Maybe these dudes will meditate with me and we cwn be at peace and all that. "Dudes, chill out!"
