I mean, I'll vanish for like two weeks from my other games for basically no reason at all at times. So a slow game in many ways is better for me.

With Strange Aeons, having people mysteriously vanish for an encounter or two only adds to the mystique, clearly. *shrug* your call, GM.
Aoife riffles through the scrolls, looking at their new findings, "Nice haul. Yamind if I hold on to this?" she asks her companions, hefting the scroll of Fox's Cunning.
Awesome! Thanks guys. I'll level myself shortly. EDIT: As Aoife is now a level 3 Blackblade, that means she's due to find a blackblade in the near future, or have her current sword awaken as one. Not sure how you want to handle that, GM?
Aoife stands up, cracking her neck "Wel' naw, what do we have here?"
Oh, uh. Hi guys. Don't know if you still have an open slot for an old player who is apparently just the absolute worst at checking their PMs, but I can hop in or just sort of lurk in case a replacement player is needed.

I have returned! I wonder what finally changed that let me log in again.
"Bloody haunts. Why couldn't I have gone somewhere normal with my life?" Aoife mutters, then carefully edges towards the body. If nothing bad seems to happen, she works to retrive the corpse, first poking it with her sword to ensure it's safe.
Aoife waits with bated breath to see what happens.
"Well. Tha's distrubing." Aoife vocalizes what's on everyone's mind, "Any idea what happened ta her?"
Aoife grabs Laura's wrist as she suddenly turns, "Be careful ou' there. We don' know wha is going on, but there isn' much friendly here." she cautions the fighter, but moves to likewise check the doors.
Aoife lets Prastis handle this, knowing that she isn't likely to make things better.
Aoife cautiously makes her way through the room, sword-tip at the ready and prepared to stab anything that surprises her.
Aoife brings her sword back up in retaliation, trying to hit anything but failing. She steps back slightly to try and get a bit of space.
Aoife, blade at the ready, still balks at the graphic sight before recovering and thrusting with her blade at the... things.
Aoife nudges the closet door further open with the tip of her sword to peer inside.
Aoife pages through any books that look particularly interesting, but otherwise lets the library be.
No worries; until school starts up in a week and my life settles down again my posting capabilities are limited.
Aoife shrugs, ”To make sure that yes aren’t about ta try and stab us in the back as soon as we move on. If yeh aren’t interested in killin’ us, that would make you a rarity here.”
I find it highly ironic that the two of us who initially claimed them were also the ones that ended up with them via chance.
Aoife moves towards the noisy bookshelf and pokes one of the figures with her glowing sword.
Aoife shakes her head to clear it, ”Och. Bloody visions. Everyone else get the’?” she rubs her temple, ”Figures. Nothin’ can be normal, can it?”
"Not that ah recall, but there's a lot ah don't remember." Aoife says with a shrug, "But ah do think...." she walks up to the door and places her hand against it, "Let's see..."
"Very nice." Aoife notes as she studies the findings, "Tha amulets should serve as a minor ward against blows." she explains, slipping one on and tossing the other to Okita, "Seems too useful ta leave laying here."
Sorry, I don't have any excuse. I've just been lazy when posting lately. Summer tends to be hard on my posting habits. Aoife would like the other Amulet, if possible, as she is filling a primary frontline role.
Aoife gestures for some of the items to be handed to her, "Heh. Handy." her eyes glow with a muttered incantation as she analyzes their findings.
Aoife raises her sword and backs against the wall slowly, preparing to defend herself.
Aoife follows up the back, making sure that no creatures sneak up and surprise them.
Aoife grimaces as she steps away from the slime-thing, casting a spell before reengaging with the creature. Unlike normal, though, she does not channel the magic through her blade.
Aoife is taken aback at her inability to do... anything, really, against the beast. Granted, that reaction is pretty overwhelmed by the horror of it grabbing her, "Aaaahhhh! Get i' offf!"
"What in the hells?" Aoife exclaims, "Kill it with fire!" She draws her blade, the freshly-polished steel gleaming first in the low light and then with its own inner light as it strikes out at the monstrosity.
Aoife swiftly shuts the outer doors, "Nope. Na going out there" she says, then moves to the others.
Aoife carefully pokes her way forward, peeking outside first to see if it's safe before working her way right, opening each door in turn to see what's on the other side.
"Certainly." Aoife agrees, and casts around for something reflective. She pulls out her sword and tries to rub it against her coat, seeing if it becomes reflective enough to serve as an impromptu mirror.
Aoife carefully draws her sword, "Ah know not what ye've become, but if ye'd be so kind as to let us pass, we might be able ta help."
"Hmmm." Aoife muses, and stands in front of the curtain, "Le' me try somethin'." she says, and closes her eyes in concentration.
Aoife props herself up against the wall, "Any information woul' be nice. Hells, do ye know what year it is? It'd be nice ta know how old I am. Ah have no clue about anything that happened before we woke up in there two days ago." she says with a shrug, holding her blanket tightly around her shoulders.
Aoife murmurs some form of agreement to something, rapidly starting to doze off in the comfort of the room.
Aoife drags her way around, clearly half-asleep, and collapses onto the pile of blankets.
I'd say carry on and let Aoife get a good night's sleep. The poor girl.
Aoife yawns and stares blankly into space, not seeming to listen to what's being discussed all that much.
"Bloody ****ing hells." From there, Aoife just goes onto a semi-coherent rambling string of obscenities, drifting off half asleep before her head jolts awake again, "Le's not ever sleep somewhere haunted again, ye? Cool. Now, let's get to that settlement, prove our.... yawn.... humanity, and find some actual, soft beds that aren't being haunted by bloody yellow fog and scribes!" she kicks a chair, and grabs her sword, the metal faintly lighting up at her touch- something that Aoife completely fails to notice- "Wha'ever. Let's just go."
Level up!
Anyway, this level I get Spellstrike, some numeric bonuses (including a +1 to AC) and one step closer to my Blackblade and Loremaster.
Aoife nods, "Aye. That ken work. Let's see wot we can block the door with." she looks around the room, "But let's get the bodies out first, ah'd say."
Aoife leans against the wall, her magic spent and her exhaustion rising, "Now can we please, for tha love of all that is good, sleep now? Hells, I'll take first watch if that's what it takes." she asks the others.
With a tired cry, Aoife summons lightning to her fingertips, trying to finish off the fight, and lunges at the doppelganger, sword sinking into the creature's body at the same time lightning strikes.
