Btw, you serious about a weekday game? I would SO run that for y'all if you'd like :)
Sure -- maybe Wed pm, shorter sessions, smaller group. I'd even be willing to host. Homebrew campaigns, maybe, with house rules galore (D-hoppers and Shadow reality). Beer trumps dice. Character concept trumps class rules. No dolls allowed. Stuff like that.

DEFINITELY no dolls...

Besides, I don't have the new "Malibu Barbie Tomb of Horrors" Dwarven Forge dungeon molds...

Any word on a weekday game session?

I'm down for Wednesdays, just waiting to get the "go" signal from Kirth. I lent him my Shadowrun 4e book tonight to look over, so we may mix it up a bit and play d&d and shadowrun.

"Wednesday" is a weird word. Never looks right...

Yea I know. Okay...just let me know. You think this might be something we have to wait until after the holidays to start up? Either way is fine for me. I wont be here next week but otherwise I am available on Wednesday nights if that time fits. :) Even got the futons. ^_^ YEA!!

I've been DMing Derek's Sunday group, and could potentially do shorter sessions on a weeknight as well (say, 6 pm - 8:30 pm), if there was sufficient interest. In fact, we were talking Sunday about getting more than one game going, if the number of players increases (we've got 6 and counting now, which I think makes Derek's apartment the largest gaming venue in Houston, population-wise, outside of Rice University!).

Personally, I prefer smaller groups (1-3 players), with emphasis on world- and character-building rather than on dungeon crawling.

Well I have played D&D 3rd edition and 3.5 and some of the White Wolf games like Vampire and their newer game Exalted. I am not experienced though and highly enjoy more character development.

Check out the Play by Post threads. People also play on IRC clients and on one of the digital tabletop clients available.

(And I responded to your post on my thread :) )

Yes...thank you. I saw your post. As for the other forms of rp...it throws me since use to playing in a chatroom for rp and not in this environment. I have been a bit occupied with a few things of late due to going out of town this weekend. So I am a bit slow. sorry.

Sorry did you mean online or in person?

I was talking really in person...I don't have the books but I have space. What is this about online?

Houstonderek,

Hi I heard you were running a game...which game? I am looking for a possible rp group to join periodically.

Hi...in Houston...and live on the West off Katy Fwy(I-10) before Eldridge. Interested in D&D and White Wolf games. Very little experience. Willing to host if not too big. Also part of local SCA.
