"Huzzah! You saved, me Xanderghul! Ugh... itches though. Normally twiddle-fingering doesn't itch unless it's supposed to." She says, feeling where the wound was previously to see if she was still bleeding... then pauses with a frown. "Oh gods, no. Irabeth is going to kill me when she sees this..." she pauses again, then mutters something sibilant, before remembering, "Oh yeah, Ary, Ehren, anybody else that can hear me, we're all clear! I think."
Ary, meanwhile, twists her ring and intones, "I will shine in her Legion." clearing her gear of the worst of the enemy's gore... though only making it more clear that the bruising was deep from the slams of the clay golem. She sheathes Radiance and approaches the altar, drawing the Lucerne Hammer as she goes. "All opposed to me smashing this thing?" she whispers into the spell.
"Anything deeper in there that we need to worry about?"
Ary and Anevia choose +2 attack and AC. Ary Full attacks with dual wield, 5 foot stepping to target the babau if the cultist goes down (+4 hit and damage once she changes targets). Anevia 5 foot steps and MURDERDEATHKILLS (hopefully) the Magus with teleport-strike. Then Teleports to the yellow X. I think she can see there (I moved Ary to check).
"Ha-ha-aaaaah!" Anevia starts to laugh at the Babau as it appears, sweeping back away from the first blow, then comes the next claw, which catches her... then comes the mouth. "It bit me!" she yells. "Augh... Gods, that's a lot of blood. Ary, send me some motes!"
"I can't... I didn't practice that today." Ary calls across the battlefield as she continues to hammer away at their foes, first attempting to drive the nearest cultist back, and following through as she does.
"Oh no. Kule, help. Xander, protect me!" Anevia calls out, as her shortsword falls into her waiting hand. She slips out of the Babau's reach and drives the blade upwards into the cultist, leaving a gaping wound when she simply flickers across the battlefield, leaving Xanderghul and Kule between her and the murder demon.
Objection! Anevia has uncanny dodge, and thus retains her dex mod. In addition, pinhole gambit grants her a bonus to her ac equal to her initiation mod rather than a penalty to the the targets, due to errata. Her AC is 24 as a result. She also is currently in her blurry stance so she has a 20% miss chance on each of those attacks!
Anevia still has a smattering of treats that she hoarded into her belt pouch. "These dwarven cookies are to die for. I'm bringing some of them home to Irabeth and Sana... and I totally did not steal them. It was practically a buffet. But anyway, the cookies are like ginger snaps but with molasses and this spicy rum-flavor that I think was mostly cooked out. Gods, dwarves make the best food. Especially rich dwarves." Anevia announces, procuring a cookie, and offering it to Daisy and Ehren. "You can split one, the other two-dozen are mine." she says, adding a fake maniacal laugh. "Gods, why didn't I bring a bigger belt pouch, I could have brought some of that cake. And the bread, Ary would have killed for some of that bread. Layers of flavor in everything."
Anevia Appraise:1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18Anevia's estimation can't be wildly inaccurate due to Mythic Appraise exploit, if it matters. :)
Anevia had hung back for the entirety of the surgery. The first hour had been spent keeping her bow nocked and ready to deflect an attack from the bulette - after it had fallen asleep of course - then the next hour had gradually seen her relaxing and eventually just looking bored.
She does, however, watch as all of the adamantine is separated from the Bulette, keeping track visually of just how much is there. Ultimately, she isn't really sure of how much is there, and she hasn't exactly been following the adamantine trade this year - highly volatile as it was. It seemed to appear and disappear with equal frequency, almost as though it existed only in massive hoards or something.
Ary kneels down and takes the time to remove some of the meat from the rations in her pack, and leaves it in a small pile near the bulette, giving him a small snack in the morning, since he'll likely be particularly weakened.
"Can we, or should we, use restorative magic on him?" she whispers to the others.
After taking care of Ehren and Val, Anevia starts to look over all the loot around them... while Xanderghul was focused on the caster, she'd focus on her kill... but she wouldn't shy away from stealing some of the armaments of the fallen dwarves to help rearm the prisoners. Anything that looked particularly well made would get stripped down and readied to be taken by the team.
Anevia will spend 2 MP and 4 turns reminding blindness from her allies... if they'll let her. Assuming that the blindness spell is the highest level effect on them...
Anevia slips away from the broken form that lies in a pile on the floor. "Hold still, Ehren... I've been having this idea. You know how I can go into the SHADOW REALM? Well, I think I might be able to do that to tricksy magics... I've been practicing." she says as she places a hand on his shoulder... and saps the sight-darkening magic from his body. "Oh gods. Oh no. It didn't work. Everything is black. I sucked the magic out of the goggles instead. F#@*, how do I turn them back on? Everything is not-black. Everything is..." she shunts the magic into the void. "Ah, that's better. Okay... neat... it just takes longer than I thought. Hey Val, you wanna come down here, and I'll do you, too?"
Anevia uses Cursed Fate. On a successful hit, Will Save DC 15 or the duergar takes a -4 to all d20 rolls for one round. On a successful sneak attack, -2 AC. Ary full attacks, starting with a faith+bull rush.
"Sorry, lady, I'm taken by this really lovely Paladin. We're both kinda famous for dwarf slayings. Her for doing them, me for getting better." Anevia says, slipping in towards the woman... only to have inky dark tendrils begin to run from her hand along her blade... she swipes towards her with the blade, then lunges at the last second... choosing the other target!
Ary doesn't take the time to quip, having nothing but contempt for the duergar slaver blessed by a god to lead others into a dark and dismal life... and as a result simply repeatedly hammers at her form and the images she conjures... hoping to bring her down before she can level her power upon someone else.
Anevia five foot steps and uses Resonance Strike with her shortsword, and sneak attacks Dwarf Guard, if he is still standing she reduces his AC by 2.
Anevia tucks her shortsword behind her back as she steps in close to the burly, pincushion of a dwarf. As she does her shortsword coats in silver threads which dart from her hand up the hilt, slowly but surely elongating into a glowing longsword that is far too large for the human woman to hold safely or even effectively. But such a thing didn't matter, because it was a knavish trick that cared little for such sciences as 'mortal physics'. She flicks the full blade around from behind her in an almost comical act of hammerspace, as she drives it upwards towards the bloody and bruised duergar combatant, hopefully freeing her allies up to focus on the remaining mage.
Anevia uses Acrobatics Gambit on Duergar #12 with the last 10 feet of her movement, using a barrel roll if the map is to be believed. She regains her spent maneuver She drops her bow and draws her shortsword during the movement. If she doesn't provoke an AoO, he takes 1d6+3 additional damage per hit for the following round. Rolled Lann's and my additional 1d6+3 damage per attack to make things easier for Kiora it *ONLY APPLIES* to Duergar #12. She lowers his AC by 2 on a successful sneak attack.
Ary watches as the dwarf erratically moves, knocking its enemies arms away from its allies, brows raising. "Huh." She frowns for a moment as she realizes exactly what the dwarf is doing and begins to really not want to kill him... despite what Isilme had said about no prisoners...
Anevia watches Xanderghul zoom past and narrows her envious little rogue eyes... then returns to the important things, the things at hand. She zips back into the midst of her allies, drawing her sword as she goes and allowing her short sword to slip from its sheath into her hand, tucking down and doing a hand-spring as she grows close to the nearest duergar foe. She jabs the pointy bit of it into his side as she's coming in hot for the landing... but would she stick it?
Anevia doots the horn. Val gains another save v. stand there and be silly... then she begins moving back towards Daisy and the dwarf!
"Oh, good. Xander's got his wits again!" Anevia says, as she tilts the horn up to her face to blow on it... the first attempt is more a raspberry, but then a few more expectant toots make their way out of the horn. She starts to head back to where Hinagiku is... as her Commander had Commanded! "Uh... Daisy?" she calls as she realizes the Kitsune was not where they had left her!
Ary succeeds at hearing, but not understanding. She then gets rekt. Anevia attempts to retrieve the horn of goodness.
"Uh... boss?" Anevia whispers into the spell, "The twiddlefingers is a ways behind Ehren, trying to be invisible..." she pauses as she looks to Ary as the woman begins to slump to the ground... "Boss?" she asks, louder.
She darts obediently to Ary's side... getting Xanderghul back up and functioning, maybe swing by Val, too? She didn't know how this thing worked... yeah, she could zig and zag and maybe get everyone. She digs through the bag in the hopes of retrieving the horn... why would Ary have it inside the bag, the goof...
Anevia fires Cursed Fate at Duergar #10. Will Save DC 15 or the duergar takes a -4 to all d20 rolls for one round. On a successful sneak attack, reduce his AC by 2. She gambits and recovers Resonance Strike.
Anevia lingers with her hand half-way into her belt pouch for several moments completely unable to move, forced to stare as the Duergar encroached upon them, and watching Ary desperately hammer at the nearest foes. Then a giant rock monster enters her periphery and she's forced to wonder if it's friend or foe... but then one of the duergar becomes little more than a stain on the floor, with his bug collapsed beneath him. Well, that was good. Oh, and Isilme was nearby... and she could move again. Huzzah! She was glad the crowd that she was trying to save didn't trample her during all of that nonsense.
It would seem that the goal had shifted back to 'save as many of the chain gang as they could'! Well, that was easy... a focused assault should be able to bring the enemies down a bit more quickly. Darkness snakes from her sleeve down an ordinary arrow to add a bit more bite as she redoubles her effort on bringing down those giving chase... firing straight into the crowd of prisoners to strike at the duergar atop his mount.
Ary successfully identifies, and saves. Anevia fails her save. On her turn as a FRA, Anevia attempts another save and Ary uses Rally as an immediate action costing 2 MP. It affects Xanderghul, Isilme, Ehren and everyone closer, including the slaves. Anevia surges, but falls short.
"There's an enchanter amidst the prisoners!" Ary cries as the enchantress's magic runs off her like so much water. Anevia wasn't so lucky, however, as she stands absolutely stock still. "Push through it!" Ary calls out, attempting to bolster her allies against the spell. "Someone get the Underfolk to withdraw! I need that wall up!" Anevia doesn't even begin to move. And she hadn't even been trapped in an action pose.
Ary draws Faith around in a backhand as the Duergar begins to move past her -almost an afterthought- as her main focus is on recovering the slaves as quickly as possible. "Get the slaves moving forward. They can't move fast, but it should be enough to keep them safer!" Ary calls back.
Anevia slips forward, moving to gather whatever intel she can... and pauses halfway down the line of slaves. "We have another troop back here. Looking for any sort of cover..." she whispers into the spell from beside the train of slaves, before pressing forward to look for anything she could use to rain fire upon them with limited reprisal. Lots of innocent people over here...
Anevia, meanwhile, ignores the vanishing wall of fire as she darts down the stairs. Part of her had assumed that it had been another dwarven trick, that they maybe had an arcanist with them... not that it had been Xanderghul's spell.
Ever onwards, she presses, past her allies - safe and invisible. At least, hopefully. "There's another rider ahead of me. Should I keep my cover, or shoot his pet out from under him when I get close enough?" she whispers, asking for suggestions from the others.
Assuming leaping down is 5 feet of movement and the squares that look like rubble are 50% speed, Anevia uses 110 feet of movement to reach her spot on the map. She gambits to retain her invisibility and recovers her fading shot.
Anevia does her best to keep her feet away from anything even remotely that looks like a crack or an edge, darting across the ancient neglected bridge. She slows only just enough to both watch her footing and avoid any pesky clickable rocks that would give away her position... before reaching the edge and leaping off of the wall, steering clear of the heat pouring off of the giant wall that had miraculously appeared out of nowhere at the same time Xanderghul had gone from quasireal to completely real.
"Dornarnus?" Ary wonders aloud, "Major Colson sends his regards." she says offering a slight salute with her sword as she dips to the side of the spewed acid, lingering droplets being all that manages to catch her at this range... just in time to be cut off from her allies. It certainly was a good thing that she'd surrounded herself!
Anevia, meanwhile, was having just as much fun as Ary... this old, half-destroyed bridge was now on the verge of being completely destroyed! She pumps her fist as Ehren gets his revenge on the beetle for the previous nonsense he'd gone through, but then has to focus. As the first hairline fissures appear, she dips back... and then decides to double down. She immediately vanishes in a flicker, allowing Desna's blessing to speed her pace through... wherever it is she goes when she's not here. She reappears, insofar as an invisible deathdealing dwarfslayer can reappear, at the window above all of the chaos. Letting loose an arrow at the rider's pet before dipping back into whatever cover the raised platform could provide her.
Bookkeeping! Did you also include Ary's 15 damage? Anevia uses Blessing of Fervor to also go fast... but uses it with stealth. She double moves at half speed and stealth gambits.
Anevia Stealth (Gambit):1d20 + 23 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 23 + 1 = 41 Anevia Acrobatics:1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 35Anevia doesn't trust the bridge, and neither do I. :P
Anevia follows suit after Ary but opts to move to a more... awkward position for her foes! She slips past the group of underfolk hunkering low to stay out of sight and out of mind. She briefly contemplates stealing the spell of the Duergar, but remembers what happened the last time she got within fifteen feet of a duergar. He was so smelly that she had chosen death.
So, armed with the incredible cheekiness afforded her by the blessing of what had apparently become a priestess of Desna in months gone - in which Anevia had not been invited - harumph! -- Anevia slips past the 'invisible' Xanderghul, waving a playful, possibly invisible hand in front of his face as she slips onto the bridge, using ginger steps and footfalls to guide her path.
Anevia travels onwards, lagging just slightly behind Valaria, with the measured pace of a wandering vagabond. A quiet, sneaky vagabond. Who would totally be rocking a slave outfit if the group had only let her.
"Thanks, Külə!" Anevia chirps once she's aware everything is dead, after moving away from Skullgrim. "Stupid rainbow-summoning gluttony demons..." she mutters. "Anyone else feel like they're three feet from the bottom of the grave?"
"You will shine in Her Legion." Ary says as the first ghoul falls, turning her head towards the second as she draws Terendelev's scale off of her cloak with her shield arm. She then presses it against Hinagiku's shoulder, suffusing her body with divinely good energy, preparing for the battle ahead, and maintaining the posture that would defend her allies, while Anevia leans around the corner just enough to see their foe, releasing a single arrow with a FWIP! in the space between their movements, hoping for as clear a shot as she could get, then draws back into the shadows, hoping that whatever was down the hallway wouldn't be able to get a clear view of her.
"Where did they get a spring to attach..?" Ary whispers via Isilme's message spell. "I think you might have to pick it apart before you open it, or they'll know we're here for sure... and you might get walloped by the door."
"Mmm... I mean, I can probably do the thing. You know, borrowing the magic without asking, then just dropping it off in the ether. It's been pretty neat so far. So maybe get rid of the most twiddle-finger stuff we can, since I don't know how many of them I can reliably... untwiddle?" Anevia suggests, as she slides down the roof and drops into the mud near the rest of the group, seemingly unbothered by being dirty at all.
DC 15 will save on Troll 4 or -4 to all d20 rolls for the following round. -3 AC on successful gambit, Inflicting half speed and no 5 foot steps if successful.
Anevia slips out of her hiding spot on the roof to get close enough to take advantage of the close quarters her enemies were in. Tiny tethers of shadow dart from Anevia's gloves to encircle her current arrow as she lifts her weapon into direct sight on the troll. The nocked arrow flutters in the wind and rain appearing to go off target, but being ripped along a wind stream towards the awaiting, unexpecting troll.
Anevia stays precisely where she is, rain sloughing slowly over her leathers. She takes her time lining up a shot, waiting for the troll's lack of attention to result in an overextension. With quiet determination she forms her quicksilver blade in the air and launches it towards him.
"I... think he teleported away!" Ary calls to the others as he vanishes from just within her reach. Like it or not, the guy had style if not of the particular sort that Ary valued. Like... not leaving friends behind after ordering them to die for him - and using them as living bombs.
Anevia, meanwhile, invisible hops down from the rooftop, staying scurrying up and over the nearest chimney and then ducking behind the next chimney, before leaning out to fire on the nearest troll nearest to Valaria, giving up her concealment to take advantage of its distraction.
Anevia flickers from atop the tower she's on, the vague sheen showing where she was simply vanishing suddenly, and onto the other tower. As she reappears atop it, she draws an arrow into her grasp, firing it quickly into the nearest troll, before leaning over the edge to see if Lambrecht could exit out the back, otherwise keeping hunkered down against the wind and rain.
Round 1 of G.Invis was double move, Round 2 was yoink, Round 3 is Standard Action to recover a maneuver, stand still, stay silent. Round 4 is Yoink attempt #2.
Transfer Magic #2 v. Same Hag Touch:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 Concealment:1d100 ⇒ 80 Stealth (Invis):1d20 + 23 + 20 ⇒ (1) + 23 + 20 = 44Ouch, that's only a 34 unless she's 'stationary'.
Well... that was weird. Who dresses up like a creepy knickknack to go invisibly into somebody's house? Then just stand over them watching them sleep? Nightmare fuel, sure, but extra weird to be invisible and still wear a mask, almost pointless, really! Oh well, that didn't make them real-world-level, so they certainly couldn't ambush them just yet. Steeling herself, she focuses on the trick she'd just pulled - it was an epic trick! It'd been super epic when she'd shown Irabeth the other day. Then she was ready to go once more back into the brink! The very same witch gets a BOOP from Anevia. It was becoming clear that this was probably the intended purpose of her new ghost-rogue powers. Sigh. Oh, wait, was that sigh out loud? Nammit. This was all supposed to be internal dialogue.
Ary will move and open her door enough to be able to see out, so it won't take a full action to go through it. Anevia spends a turn fast stealthing, then goes ghost as a swift, and touches anything ghosty... then makes a stealth check! If nothing is visible, she'll try to grab above the bed!
Stealth (Invis, Fast):1d20 + 23 + 20 - 5 ⇒ (19) + 23 + 20 - 5 = 57Anevia moves to the yellow square, she can't leave her room under my control at the moment; I guess the door thinks it's shut. Transfer Magic v. Hag Touch:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 Concealment:1d100 ⇒ 85 Stealth (Invis):1d20 + 23 + 20 ⇒ (17) + 23 + 20 = 60Counts as 20 higher if touch attack counts as 'stationary' and if she doesn't have to 5 foot to boop a hag.
Invisible to all but Xanderghul, Anevia slips like some sort of eldritch shadow across the floor, creepily and eerily moving into the doorway... then, gone in even more of a flash, she slips sideways to see what lies in the room, before lunging at the first thing she sees!
Meanwhile, Ary pulls the door that she's in open just enough to be ready to make her move... should she be given the opportunity.
I'll spend 1 MP if she actually gets to use transfer magic... and I will STEAL THE BUFFS.
I can't see anything at all on the map at the moment. JET BLACK. Anevia will go to Xanderghul's supply room which I remember being TO THE SOUTH.
Anevia slips off the bed and moves to tuck Totally-not-Isilme in, smiling softly as the Azata was pulled into a nightmare realm of pure imagination. Not that she was smiling because of the torment, mind you, but because she was solemnly up to no good! She makes a soft shushing noise, as she heads for the door. "You'll be safe, promise. Be riiiiight back."
"All clear boss! Just gonna go scrounge up something to keep me up!" she calls into the kitchen. Totally the signal! And totally true, too, if Xanderghul would give her some of that twiddlefinger power that would let her not die by evil hag powers while she yoinks all their cool stuff!
As the ley energy erupted into Ary, Anevia watches, agape for a moment... then she places her hand on the heroine's back. She didn't have an easy analogue for figuring out how to help at first - she was just certain that she could. She watched, eyes flickering at the ebbs and flows in the energy, and realized, as Ary had, that it wasn't ebbs and flows, but more like chunks.
Even as Ary was focused on removing those 'chunks' of ley, Anevia began focusing her energy - gifted to her by Ary, or perhaps Pharasma, or maybe something more elder and more eldritch - like the Starsong herself, to begin rending and tearing the largest chunks into more managable bits, reducing what Ary felt she had to cast aside.
While Ary was an ideal conduit, Anevia was quite good at precision work. Just ask Irabeth. Oh, hell no, that was not the right kind of screaming.
And so, Anevia continued sniping bits and pieces of the ley energy, those pieces that were too resilient being forced into clearer view for Ary to cast aside, generally towards Grumtarr or the menhir themselves.
Unwilling to waste more time waiting, Anevia decides to give the creature a little more to think about, repeating her previous shot, but firing on it, rather than its swarms, releasing another blast of force energy in the form of a longsword.
Anevia patiently and calmly feigns ignorance... despite having shown, repeatedly, that she could explicitly see the creatures, then draws back on the bowstring, threading silver energy into a longsword... and with a quick release, skewers nothing. Except to Xanderghul, and everything on the other side of the tricksy veil. All those things are totes getting blasted.
THE SUN'LL COME OUT, 2MORROW
Anevia Tier 2 Intensifies.
+1 Memes.
+2 Mythic Power
+4 HP
+Path Ability: Transfer Magic
+1 Initiative (So amazing)
+1 Intelligence (Tier 2)
+1 Regen Talent: Anevia gains an additional MP every day. For extra tricksiness.
Ary's bodyguard wouldn't have helped against any of his attacks, sadly. :( Ary uses Blessed Pinions on Eustoriax, along with a 5 foot step, and refreshes Favored Enemy once more. She applies her final Armiger's Mark if she hits.
OBJECTION! Sleight of Hand v. Eustoriax CMD on first attack:1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21
Anevia immediately releases another arrow, hoping to deflect some portion of the creature's movement to guard herself, but the effort is likely nearly as futile as anything else as he rips into her bodily. She tries to shove him away, but although her bow can protect her, her armor cannot. "Accident... dunno how." she manages. "Ugh... so gentle with them, so rough with me." she adds, smiling bloodily. "Too old, don't want?" all the while, as he's staring at her in rage, her short sword is dropping into her hand.
Ary, meanwhile steps in, sword glowing brilliantly once more, as she brings the blade arcing through Eustoriax's form, hoping for some manner of prize. "Get off of her! GET HIM OFF OF HER!" she yells as she sees how much damage he's doing in his fury.
Ary recovers Swallow Your Fear and Blessed Pinions by activating Defensive Focus. Ary will Intruder's End if Eustoriax uses an AoE, or will use Swallow Your Fear if he tries to body jump again. Anevia Force Shots at Eustoriax, activating pinhole gambit and removing his ability to 5-foot step (as well as cutting his speed in half) if successful.
Resonance Shot v. Eustoriax Touch (Inspired, Gambit, Point Blank):1d20 + 11 + 3 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 11 + 3 + 3 + 1 = 24-3 AC if successful Resonance Force Damage v. Eustoriax (Inspired, Point Blank, Sneak):3d6 + 7 + 3 + 1 + 4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5) + 7 + 3 + 1 + (6, 3, 3, 1) = 36No 5 foot step and half speed, if successful
In the wake of rebuffing the shadow demon's advances, Ary simply waits, recentering herself. The golden motes she had expended flutter back into Faith, ready to bear witness to her protecting her allies further.
Anevia meanwhile passes right by the Invidiak, trusting her commander to guard her honor against the tricksy demon, eventually reaching a small section beside another Nahyndrian crystal. She draws another bead with an empty shortbow, the energy spiraling out of nothingness into a true weapon just in time for her to release the attack and hopefully cleave another broad swath in their foe's arse...-enal.
Anevia takes a moment to center herself before creeping forward. Given that, as far as she knew, there was only the little girl left - no more signs of battle, just whooshy shadows, she really wanted to be prepared for the enemy, not just 'in a position to shoot a little girl'. Because the latter just wasn't something she was at all prepared to do. So as she slipped past Ayavah, and moved next to Isilme, her form flickers still more than her stance would normally allow.
Anevia, startled by the clinging bands of force and shadow, shakes her arm trying to get the weird things linking her and her bow together, and darting along the surface. Oh! It was like her force arrows, but more permanent. Neat! Anevia had learned a new trick. Now for an old trick!
She bends down and scoops up the rock, the same filaments connecting to it immediately - super neat! Not giving herself time to really enjoy the moment, given that there were children to save, and Northerners to light the way for, she tosses the rock underhanded to let it clatter into the space just ahead of Valaria.
Anevia spends one mythic power to allow herself to affect Ethereal and insubstantial foes for one minute via Mythic Precise Shot, she gambits, recovering force shot, and uses a standard action to fire Dimensional Shot, treating the shade as flat footed for her shot. If 'insubstantial' does not mean 'incorporeal', then I can use the mythic power to allow myself to sneak attack once on a sneak-immune target via Mythic Sneak Attack, instead. Just let me know which! She will also DEFLECTING SHOT OBJECTION on the shadow's next attack.
Anevia steels herself. There was no reason to be afraid of the dark! Sure, there were scary things in there... anyone from Nidal could tell you that. But the darkness also held wonders! She was born in the dark. Molded by it. Some stupid shadow-val-imposter wasn't going to just threaten her friends and get away with it.
As she steels herself, so too does she steel her arrows. Small filaments of shadow and force limn the white-fletched arrow as she draws it back, running along her string and her bow, reinforcing it subtly, but dangerously for the current foes. She lets the arrow sail, allowing it to find likely-easy purchase amidst her allies, but more importantly, amidst the imposter that turned the light of their friendship into some cruel mockery.
She's already got another normal arrow nocked before the first has landed, drawing a bead on the foe.
OBJECTION!:
Deflecting Shot SoH v. Stupid Shadow Monster Not-Val's attack:1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29CMD should be -7 v. Anevia if all of the above connected.
As soon as the creature attempts to attack her ally again, the nocked arrow is loosed, flying through the intervening space to attempt to throw their foe's attack off... hopefully it would arrive at just the right time.
Stealth (Gambit):1d20 + 18 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 18 + 3 = 31Anevia still recovers force shot, pass or fail, and becomes invisible once more if she succeeds. Ary Acrobatics:1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23 Ary Nonlethal Damage:1d6 ⇒ 3
Anevia simply slips around the edge of the forge, and as she circles the outer edge, her form simply never comes back into view for those who couldn't already see her. Except Xanderghul, who watches her beginning to fiddle with her bow, examining it for wear, while fanning her face with the other hand.
Ary shakes her head, "I'll get down the fast way. Thank you, though. Which way do we need to go after this? Do you suspect you'll be alright while we go finish up?" she says aloud as she moves to the edge of the balcony, awaiting an answer - if he thinks he'll be alright - she gives him a nod and simply hops over the edge to land on her feet, body lurching forward slightly. She then strides over to the others, giving the pit a wide berth.
"Where's the boom, Commander? I was expecting an earth shattering kaboom!" Anevia calls as another silver thread arcs through the room, unceremoniously appearing from the shadows as the moon appears over a horizon. Everyone knew the moon was coming, and it was quite boring by now, really.
Little Death Dimensional Shot v. Vampire Flat Footed (Soft Cover, PB, Inspired, Gambit):1d20 + 11 - 4 + 1 + 3 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 11 - 4 + 1 + 3 + 3 = 18-3 AC if successful; Rake if not Little Death (PB, Inspired, Sneak):1d6 + 1 + 1 + 3 + 4d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 + 3 + (1, 3, 2, 4) = 16-2 AC if successful sneak.
Anevia draws a bead on the vampire, releasing another nocked arrow almost just as the shot becomes available - but likely fires in haste. She then slips out of line of sight to prepare her magnificent counter-assault against Nivi Rhombodazzle.
Little Death v. Mook 6 (Gambit, Point Blank):1d20 + 11 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 3 = 30Inflicting Pinhole Gambit for -3 AC Little Death Damage v. Mook 6 (Sneak Attack, Point Blank):1d6 + 1 + 1 + 4d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + 1 + (6, 5, 6, 2) = 24Inflicting -2 AC if successful Sneak
Wasting no time, Ary quickly crosses the intervening space, stepping in beside Hinagiku to slam her shield into the nearest cultist, disrupting them from taking advantage of her ally's exposed flank.
Anevia meanwhile slips into the opening created by her Commander's movements and neatly looses an arrow through the intervening space, aiming for a chink in the tiefling's armor.
Buffs Audit: Anevia switched into her new GHOSTY stance while out of combat, which nets her See Invisibility and Blur.

Anevia begins each day in Formless Dance Stance unless otherwise noted.
Anevia bounces a few times after the kiss, smiling broadly, but then when she can't lift Vhane, she goes "Oh, wait a sec..." and dives back into Ary's pack, pulling out a Potion of Bull's Strength. "Maybe this could help? Give you a bit more pep, even if it won't! You know... keep you safe."
"I... do not like the idea of disfiguring him any more than we already have. I don't like the idea of our enemies resurrecting him, but it seems unlikely... I think his Glaive and helmet will do." Ary says, nodding to the other woman. "Keep our friends safe, Irabeth."
"Ughhhh... Commander!" Anevia calls as the warrior woman disappears around the corner. "Warrior, heal thyself!" she calls as she leaps up into the commander's bag and digs out the small crate from the commander's backpack, leaving it in easy reach of everyone... she then pulls one out and stuffs it into her own belt pouch, upon seeing how many there were. "You too, Irabeth! Cheers!"
