Morning Guys, I wanted to chime in and let you know whats going on. Between planning a move, poor internet, work increasing and a ton of pbp games, I am losing steam on this thread. I might be able to play later on, but this is one of the more recient games I joined and I am not contributing at all. I feel its best if I drop from the game or am placed on inactive status for the time being. -Cel/Andrei

Feathers are supposed to be light, right? Andrei asks out loud as he gazes at the giant feather. He would hate to encounter a creature like this in the wild, it would be comparable to a owl swooping down on a field mouse, only he would be the mouse. Shaking his head at the thought, Andrei crosses his arms. So do we take it back now or grab it on the way back?

Andrei looked tired, but also seemed happy. It seemed that the conversation he had had with Valeria the night before had calmed the woman. It made him feel glad. He had seen a lot of tragedy over the years and being able to help someone made him feel better about his own situation. The woman was strong, intelligent and beautiful. It had been time well spent. Nodding as the others make ready, Andrei agrees with Valeria. I agree, if we can settle our disputes without bloodshed that is always preferable. I doubt such things will be possible with this "Stag Lord" but we shall see. Right then, let’s be off.
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Sitting down on the bed next to her, Andrei sighs. I.. I don't know. Andrei says at last. Fishing into the neck of his shirt, Andrei pulls out a large golden ring and cups it tightly in his hands, and looks up at Valeria searchingly. I lost them eleven years ago. Its.. its hard to explain. He says at last handing her his fathers ring that bears the rampant dragon of house Rogarvia as its seal.

At a loss for words, Andrei insteads remain silent. He remembered the hard times and could understand Valerias need to grieve. Quietly the normally boisterous man wraps his arms around the woman and lets her cry until no more tears remain.

Smoothly rising up from the table, Andrei follows Valeria quietly. Reaching the guest house, he closes the door before walking up to the fierce woman before laying a hand on her shoulder. Valeria.. Andrei begins softly. I know that we have only known each other for a few short weeks, but trust me when I say that I am no stranger to loss either. But I promise you that if we rush into this fort we will all die. We know too little about these men, or their defenses. I am sorry for all of the pain they have caused you and I will help you with this, but you must focus your anger, do not let it control you. Sighing quietly Andrei clinches his hand together tightly. I know something of anger too. It can destroy you if you don’t learn to control it. There are people in this world who took away everyone I loved and respected. People who now sit in my family’s home, and there is nothing I can do about it. I swore to one day take back what they had taken from me. But for now I wait. Only when the moment is right will I step out from the shadows and claim what was stolen. Shaking his head, Andrei gestures back to the main hall where the others remain eating. The others may speak of loss, but people like you and I know what it truly means to be lost. It cannot be described, only experienced.

I wonder if the gold comes with any hooks attached.. Andrei mutters, glancing at the document. I personnaly would like to know more about this fort that Kressel knows about. It seems to me though, that it would be foolish to rush ahead. I believe there was some mention of some stone ruins to the north west? Was that right Kressel? What did it look like? Perhaps we should seek out them out and determin if they are the ruins that Jhod is looking for?
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
I guess it comes down to people beliving that someone can change. Andrei is basically a good person so would be willing to give her a chance, but he also has not had any interaction with her prior to his arrival, whereas the others have,

Sure that seems fair enough Valeria. Glancing at the fire, Andrei smiles. It may be awhile before we manage to make it to a place with a roof over our heads and a fire in this hearth... and such wonderful company. I for one, would love to know what lead each of you into signing up for this expedition in the first place? It seems like we have been so concerned with mapping the Stolen Lands we haven't gotten much time to get to know one another.
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Really Kressel, you want to change? What made you want to give up the life on a Bandit? Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 ____________________

Sitting at the table during the evening meal, Andrei listened more than he talked. As he does so he picks up on the non verbal cues of Torod, as he eyes Kressel and Jhod. Frowning to himself, Andrei sipped at the soup that Svetlana had made before putting the bowl down. I seem to recall that when I arrived there was some talk about what to do with you miss. And now you sit at the table armed. What changed while we were gone?
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Andrei nods at Torod's words. He seemed a bit off kilter, but harmless enough. He also mentioned he liked some sort of berry? Torod, you seemed to be familiar with them. Perhaps Oleg knows where we can find some.
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Smiling as he rides upto Oleg's trading post, Andrei throws one leg over his horse and ties it to the hitching post. Oh well, we recovered your wifes ring to begin with. We also found a large field covered in bones from a giant spider, but he won't be causing any more problems. We ran into a weird hermit and we also spoke with a mite. All in all a good scouting trip. Andrei finishes with another smile.

Good Evening Guys, Just want to let everyone know that I am going to visit my wife’s in-laws in Houston for the next ten days. Because of this I expect that my posting will be restricted but I will do my best to check in every few days via phone and tablet. I appreciate all of your understanding and assistance while I am away from my home computer. Andrei

Kneeling down next to the items, Andrei examines wand and spell book. I doubt many bandits can cast spells. Andrei murmers flipping though the wet and rotting pages. So it was probably loot. Cast read magic on the spell book.

I worry that they may become a problem later on, but if they are not aggressive then I don't see a reason for us to attack them. They usually only respond to violence in kind. Perhaps if we post signs around the area and warn travelers to keep their distance it would be enough. Glancing down at his hands Andrei frowns. I have known men that didn't mind getting blood on their hands for the right price, but I'm not that type of person. I have no problem defending others or driving away something that is clearly harmful or malicious, but from what I could tell of the body language the mite seemed to be seeking a peaceful solution. ____________________________

Nodding, Andrei picks up Valeria's shield. Pushing his way through the root reinforced cavern he throws it to her while drawing his blade and moving to attack the centipedes. Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

A very wise suggestion. Andrei intones looking at thee centipedes. Although I'm not sure why I should be surprised at the existence of vermin within this burrow due to the symbiotic existence that seems to exist between mites and various bugs. Ugh, did we bring any anti-toxin?

Hey guys, sorry I have been MIA for a bit. My wife is going back to work tomorrow so I expect I'll be doing a round of updates. Sorry about the absence and I just want you to know I am looking forward to getting back into the routine of posting.

Afternoon Guys, Well I just got back from a deployment and I am exhausted. I won't be posting much for a day or two while I take the chance to spend some time with my wife. Expect a post in 48 hours or so. -Andrei

Raising a hand to his mouth as if to cough, Andrei instead hides the smile starting to appear on his face. Coughing slightly and his face turning red, Andrei looks down briefly to avoid the glances from Asta and Valeria. "Ah, what I think Torod was trying to say is that this cave bears the hallmarks of a gold vein. Focusing on the walls Andrei points to the stone. See the quartz with flecks here and here? Given the right equipment and manpower this could be a healthy mine.
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Excellent eyes Torod! Andrei proclaims clapping the druid on the back. We should be careful however, let’s not forget what we found last time in a dark hole. Giving a small smile to Valeria, Andrei motions “after you”. Your rather handy with a sword Valeria, care to go first?
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Nodding in agreement Asta, Andrei rubs his chin. She's right... I know I wouldn't wish the that man's death on anyone. To get eaten by a giant spider? Ugh. After the torch is dropped... Walking back to his horse, Andrei climbs on. Well that’s one problem dealt with. Though I doubt the mites will be quite so easy. Andrei mutters to himself in thought. So, Torod, where do?
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Joining Valeria as she steps away from the hole and wipes her blade off on the grass, Andrei nods and gives a small shiver of his own. Leaning in close so that no one else can hear he whisperers to her. I never could stand spiders myself. All the legs and eyes. Shivering in revulsion, Andrei lays' his hand on Valeria's shoulder. You’re a brave woman. Andrei wryly mutters giving her a smile before heading back to the hole. Torod, if you need someone to watch your back when you go down that hole I'll give you a hand. Best we check the nest and make sure there's no egg sacks or young ones. Just think if there was ten of these monsters instead of one. __________________________

Right, so we are in agreement then. Valeria, I'll lift the hatch. You and the leopard in front and Torod will summon us an ally. Asta will be in the rear to provide magical support if necessary. Agreed? Cautiously the noble looking man walks towards the hinged side of the trapdoor and prepares to grip the top and pull the trap-door open so the others can move in.
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
It's a threat, perhaps not right now but it has killed others and will do so again. I bear it no ill will, but I think for the general safety we must do what is necessary. What say you all? Asks Andrei, looking to each of the others in turn.
Human Bard (Arcane Duelist) 1 AC 15/11/14 / HP 20 / F +1 R +4 W +2 / Init. +1 / Perc. +3)
Hefting his bastard sword in two hands, Andrei gives a nod and slowly moves forward keeping step with Torod and his leopard. Keeping his sword at the ready, Andrei prepares to lash out at the spider when it appears. ________________________________
