Amélie frowns in thought for a moment, then she steps forward. "Traveling alone? Zhat seems too dangerous. I can ride well enough, and I do not like ze thought of living in zhose caves." She waves her hand over her nose as she crinkles it in an expression of distaste.

"I'll go with you too."

Amélie drops down into the room and goes to inspect her two paralyzed allies. She frets over them, but doesn't have any idea when they'll get better.

Benedict stands guard, but doesn't immediately notice any way out of this room.

Amélie attempts to shout an affirmative, but the foul stench burning in her nostrils turn it into a choked cough. Still, her trained hands fly to her quiver to rapidly send two more arrows toward the troglodyte.

Amélie moves in and, seeing the troglodyte drop beneath the heavy swings of Grum and Amkarang, draws back an arrow and aims it at one of the brightly-colored frogs.

Amélie places a hand on Benedict's shoulder. "What do you mean? Let me take a look at that bite," she instructs.

She pulls away the cloth and studies the wound, then packs a few pungent ingredients in a bandage and wraps the wound with it.

She sits back on her haunches, shaking her head. "I think zhat lizard may have had venom in its bite. I will do what I can. Ze antitoxin you drank should help, and zis poultice. Anyway, zhat's ze best I can do."

Amélie picks up the first wand that had stopped working for Grum and walks over to Amkarang. "Let me see if I can get zis thing working," she says, and fumbles with the device for a while.

"Well, zey know we're here now," Amélie says drolly once the echoing of the gong subsides. She drops her torch and immediately sends two arrows down the corridor toward the lower half of one of the trogs she can see.

She moves into the central chamber and gives the spent fireplace a kick. "Zis is not a cookfire, I think?" She exposes a number of charred bones that are clearly humanoid. She sifts through the ashes and discovers a warped, leaf-shaped gold pin and a shiny ring.

Amélie had dug into her pack and fished out a torch. She was in the business of lighting it when the shrieking mushrooms erupted. She shakes her head for a moment to clear the ringing in her ears.

"Oh. Nothing like ringing ze door bell, no?"

Amélie pouts briefly because the buck was felled before she got a shot off. She slides the arrow back in its quiver then beams at Grum and Jie. "Good shots! Zis deer will provide lots of meat!"

She assists in dressing the carcass, which yields 5 Provision Points of meat.

Amélie approaches the group as they're about to set off. She listens to Benedict's instructions, nodding. "Shall I come along with you? Or do you want me to stay with ze camp?"

"Magnifique!" Amélie cheers, both at their victory and the able healing she received.

"Zhat would have been hard, killing all of zhem myself," she says with a grin as she surveys the carnage. "And I think you would have been upset zhat I left none for you? You came at ze right time."

She and Aubrin make a swift check of the perimeter to make sure there are no more hobgoblins on their way.

They come back reporting all's clear.

As word spreads quickly through the refugees, Amélie steps forward. "I 'ave a little bit of skill in zat area," she says, and begins working on the lock.

After a minute of working, the lock pops open. "Aha!" she announces triumphantly. Inside is 122 gp, two potions of cure light wounds, and a quiver with 20 arrows and five arrows of exceptional make and with fletching dyed bright red.
