Thanks again Fang for inviting me along for the ride, thoroughly enjoyed it and the others involved here.

Not currently in Curse or have I played it before. Looking forward to an invitation if you decide to go with it.

Alwyn waits patiently for the villagers to come forward, without the prayer book it may led to doubts but those were gone now and a focus in place. When Haljit comes forward, Alwyn greets him warmly and nods his thanks to Jalissa for urging the warrior forward. "Now I believe we've all spent enough time in this temple, and some of you have families that they would like to get back to. Shall we?" Indicating the hallway leading towards the exit. Moving over, he helps Pratavh to move Lilly out and down to the elephants for the trek back to the village.

In the village, he helps to make Lilly 'comfortable' then leaves Pratavh and Hirati to watch over her as he attempts to help the village return to a sense of normalcy and prepare for the upcoming wedding.

Looking at the items in his hand Alwyn, smiles himself as the echo of a chuckle fades from his mind. Brushing the dust from the booklet gingerly he begins scanning the pages written by a famous bard that lived some 500 years ago. Many of his songs were still sung today and very traditional for weddings in which feuds were ended.

Turning to the villagers present, he speak earnestly to them. "The alter here has been the source of many of the troubles that have plagued your village, probably since well before your grandparents and their grandparents were born. It is the antithesis of love and unity, for it is selfish and thinks only of itself, taking from others for it's own desires. My plea to the gods that sent us on this mission I thought had fallen on deaf ears but no, this pamphlet is a sign from them of how to end the alter menace upon your village and even the entirety of Jalmeray. Would there be any here or within the village that by the oppression of the alter's monks has prevented from being together. I know of one such couple but alas the were driven from your village, for we found them murdered in the forest outside of the village. Now is the time to put aside the prejudices of station and allow true love to reign within the hearts of the people. What say you?"

Startled by Lilly's action, Pratavh manages to keep up with her, though he shifts his hand so that she is holding his hand rather than his wrist. A tiny smile starts on his face as he goes with her. He will hold her hand as long as she lets him.

While young Alwyn is trying to watch everything going on around him. Pratavh is still trying though many times given the cold shoulder.Can't fault the man for being politely persistent.

Frustrated at a lack of ideas on how to combat the alter and with the injury his friend appears to have sustained however visible. Looking upwards at something only he can see, the man from his previous vision, he begins speaking.

"We need help here, the alter is beyond our ken to decipher how to destroy it. We understand it is evil and due to the rules you set, whether well-intentioned or not, you are unable to interfere with it's purpose. That is fine, we'll do out best to bury it here in the mountain until such time as some well-intentioned but naive explorer makes it up her and digs it back up falling under it's sway once more to wreak havoc in these lands you watch over. But for a time, the lands will be safe from it when we leave.

But, my friend Lilly has been stricken down by the alter's magic. She was hurt, applying the lotus blossom to this bastion of evil. Do not let it hurt her. thinking back to the conversations Pratavh and Lilly had had and the times they'd spent together; when Alwyn had noticed their hands touching in something more than just friendship. Their planned trip to the wedding with Bhani invited as well I was willing to sacrifice of myself for your intervention with Bhani, even moreso am I willing to make that sacrifice to help restore my friend, who was willing to go toe to toe with a dragon no less in this quest you set before us. Take of me what you will to restore her, the sacrifice will be worth it; but should you hands be tied in this matter, so be, we would all do so again to cleanse the land of the taint this alter spreads."

Alwyn stands there a moment waiting for a response.

Alwyn coming back down the steps as the din grows to a crescendo sees Lilly fall. Without much thought to his own well being he rushes forward to retrieve her.

For once in total agreement with the surly ninja "I agree we need to be leaving and sooner rather than later. Running up the stairway Alwyn first goes to the empty room and cast detect magic upon it, if the magician could hide his dragon form no telling what spell he might have put on the 'empty' room.

"Pratavh, there was a heavily guarded room, by magic at least, upstairs. Do you think it might hold any clues as to how to do something with this" Alwyn ask suddenly grasping at straws as to how to deal with the alter.

Sorry guys drawing a blank on how to destroy a dragon eating magical floating alter. Especially after the GM comment that we knew touching it, after the will save earlier, would be a BAD thing

Seeing Pratavh and Hirati go over to Master Bvar, Alwyn keeps his distance, while quietly approving of the wizard's word. Master Bvar had helped them greatly throughout their travels from the city, and in a sense had grown from that assistance. This was just too much, almost too much for them as it was.

Turning his attention back to his and Lilly's conversation concerning the alter .... "Lilly, wasn't the dragon much higher a little bit ago? Is ... could the alter be consuming the dragon?"

Bow in hand another arrow already knocked, Alwyn lets the song die on his lips as he watches the huge wyrm shudder and breath its last breath. The two fighters having gone toe to toe with the creature, and won, through sheer determination, skill, and and not a little magic between himself and Pratavh. Studying the scene to commit it to memory for later, he begins to notice the little things, the film over the dragon's eyes that still show a since of wonder and rage that it had lost. The curl of his tail, the backwards crook of that leg and the alter boiling with the blood covering it .... Alter boiling, that could be a problem. Ever the wordsmith "Uh guys we might still have a problem, look at the alter. Is there a way to destroy it?"

On a side note, Heroism, is a morale boost to hit and other thing same as Inspire Courage - so at this point has little use since Alwyn has 23 rounds of bardic performance that can be extended using lingering performance. Or cast it and the switch to dirge of doom on the opposition?

GM, Alwyn began singing once more restarting the inspire courage, that should have given Shikyo the additional 2 he needs to meet the DC19 on his first roll. He only added 2 +2's which would have been Protection from Evil and Aura

Alwyn takes in the scene as the statue first drags the alter inside the room and it them begins to float as the cat eyed freak floating along behind it, with the realization the alter was creating a chant of its own he quickly changes his mind.

consider Shikyo healed, at work and can't do it but plenty of charges available, both CMW and CLWS. Roll and let me know what is used. Alwyn will heal himself as well. 1st round will cast haste and start Bardic performance (IC) similar to last fight - last haste. Shikyo don't forget your CSW for the fight.

Alwyn studies the rooms before moving to the overlook to see what is keeping the others, "Pratavh, what's going on down there? We have 3 rooms up here 2 well used and a third that appears to have been abandoned for a while. There's a 4th room you should look into, strong abjuration magic protecting it, half tempted to take a pot shot at it from a distance." he ends with a mischievous grin.

Watching the cultists kill themselves bring little satisfaction to Alwyn but immense relief nonetheless. Anyone else have issues getting back in the system last night - didn't see the server gremlins shot but pages wouldn't load either..... anyways. Wasn't sure about the wand as I knew you could make an extra attack as part of a full round action but couldn't cast 2 spells in the same round, guess the extra attack falls under the specific rule vs general rule as it is listed in the body of the description.

Turning towards Zaffira "Your rules as stated do not prevent Lilly from preparing herself for battle through her own magic use, is my interpretation correct or flawed? If magic is not to be used at all for this contest, I request to keep detect magic in place for the contest, one of the others you have here may feel free to watch as well. For the duration of your contest I will cast no other spell other than detect magic."

In a short aside to Lilly "Lilly the choice for this course will be yours, can you beat her in a straight up fight?"

Alwyn waits to hear Lilly's decision, the duel hers to accept. Ticking off the spells he knows that might help her in that fight should it come.
