Indeed, well I had fun for a little bit, no combat but I liked the RP in the beginning.

Alric breaths a visible sigh of relief and says with a smile:

"Indeed, well then, we'll just need to take a look at the writ of payment tendered to you by the tax collector with his stamp of approval and we'll happily return to the city."

"Alric Stiner at your service"

Alric says with a bow.

"Now now, there's no reason to get all on edge, it's a nice evening. Now, lets take a step back and take a deep breath."

Alric attempts to diffuse the tension.

Alric nods with his warm smile at the wife and follows the man to the mayor's house.

Curses, still, 20 diplomacy I guess.

When he answers in the negative to my question reguarding the mayor I say the following:

"Well then my good man, could you please point me in his direction? We're here to speak to the mayor on a matter of grave importance regarding the town"

Assuming he says yes

"Marvelous, you see, my companions and I have come a very long way to speak with you about a matter concerning your village."

Struggling to master himself in the presence of this....creature Alric turns away, putting a fist to his mouth he coughs:

*cough* *cough *cough* "Evil" *cough* *cough*

Clearing his throat Alric turns around with his heartwarming smile.

"Yes, let us go meet your father, I do believe we have something he might be interested in."

I know it's kinda retcon but can I say before we came into Ravenmoor this morning that I sang a melodic tune about the wonders of the open road? Gotta get that prayer in each morning so I can share the faith.

Grand Lodge

yea.....little mosquito like things that suck people to death...awesome

Alric refrains from saying something that might insult the boy but it looks as though for a second when he recognized the creature, he was about to.

"So child, do you and applesauce happen to know your way around here?"

Alric stares at it curiously.

Still speaking in his accent Alric does his best to seem not scary for the little girl, he kneels down, getting at eye-level with her and gives his best older brother smile:

"Yes, we're new in town and we happen to be looking for the Mayor, do you know where he lives?"

Grand Lodge

Cleric 1/Bard 2

Alric tilts his head back yawning deeply. Glancing around town he looks for the nearest person simply standing around. Adopting a hitch in his giddyup he saunters over and tries for an accent common to this area. Shooting him/her a soft welcoming smile he says:

"Well 'ello there, are you from around here?"

Eve Valeria Abia wrote:

Eva reveals what she knows about Ravenmoor.

Ravenmoor is a small farming community with little infrastructure beyond the immediate needs of the harvest and basic survival in this remote wilderness. The town has few actual shops, and there is no village inn there are simply not enough visitors to town to justify such a business. The town’s streets are made of packed dirt, but more often consist of mud because of the frequent drizzle and fog that keep the place humid. Moss grows on most buildings, covering the soggy wooden shingles, and the constant buzz of insects fills the air, rising in volume as the day wears into night. While most of the homes and farms look ramshackle, even abandoned, very few structures in the village are actually vacant.

Years of close contact with the infested swamps have resulted in a strange reliance on parasitic creatures normally considered as pests. Most normal livestock raised in the town’s humid, relatively filthy environment succumb within months to parasites. Pigs do relatively well, and make up the majority of the town’s livestock animals, but both ravens and stirges raised in hutches or cages are a common sight as well. While the ravens might not cause any double-takes, the stirges might. The people of Ravenmoor feed the stirges the blood of captured ravens, pigs, or other animals caught by hunters.

One more thing I forgot to mention...there are two ways to get to the town of Galduria. You can either travel by road or by water. Its up to you guys to decide how the group wishes to travel. We won't really be playing out the travel but I need to figure out how many days to fast forward so to speak. Also if you want I can throw up a map of the region so you can see where exactly your going...or at least I can try to find something suitable for such a task.

My vote's for water, no particular reason, I just prefer to be as lazy as possible at all times.

The rest of the night is yours to do with what you please. I've plaid your room and board at the establishment across the street so enjoy the rooms on me.

Alric walks into the room after about 20 minutes with a towel drying his damp hair wearing nothing above the waist. Catching the tail end of what Jeminda said and Eve's introduction. He gives Jeminda a polite nod before turning to everyone.

"Well if we're introducing ourselves, I've already had the pleasure to meet our lovely Eve."

He turns and gives Eve a friendly smile before turning to the other two guys.

"To those of you who I haven't met yet, my name is Alric Stiner, I am pleased to have made your acquaintance."

Alric sighs when he sees the wedding band, mastering himself he puts of a straight face and says:

DM Mathpro wrote:

Yea, I was hoping brother-in-law by his marriage, not hers. At least I'd have something to work with ya know? I mean the description of this village is totally the hills have eyes and idk if He could stomach one of those.

"Well, if we're to be leaving soon I'd just as well get the road off me, these last few days have not been kind."

Alric then proceeds to the bath and cleans himself off, changing into a clean set of clothes and making himself fresh for the coming journey.

Grand Lodge

Cleric 1/Bard 2

Alric does his best to give whoever's speaking at any given time but often sneaks glances at Jeminda.

Does she wear a wedding band?

"Unless you're willing to go toe to toe with this strapping fellow in actual combat, I believe you're out of luck Eve. He seems like the strong, reserved type."

Alric turns his attention to Jeninda during a lull in the conversation.

"I accept this task and look forward to working with a group of individuals as...unique as yourselves."

I think there was some confusion, I was referring to the amount of ale in his own mug not to anyone or anything else.

Stopping short of the table Alric extends his ale hand outward and second hand inward at his waist, placing one foot in front of the other he extends a courteous bow.

"Alric Stiner at your service."

Straightening himself out he walks towards the closest open seat, stopping in front of it he asks:

"May I?"

Alric waits for the okay before taking a seat and drinking the last frothy dregs at the bottom of the mug.

".......I see......."

As the barkeep slides the mug forward he takes a sip, letting the frothy goodness perk him up. He melts into his smile as his whole demeanor brightens, the tips of his ears turn a soft pink and his hands curl around the mug.

"So, if I may ask, how does a woman such as yourself end up in this far corner of the world?"

Alric turns, resting his elbows on the bar as he drinks in Eve with an appraising look.

"I'd like something to perk me up, perhaps when the road has been cleansed from my skin I'll partake of stronger drink"

Tilting his head back he speaks to the barkeep without taking his eyes from the apparently curvy woman.

"I'll take a glass of that Dragon's Ale if you don't mind."

Alric is a man about five-foot-eight with delicate and exotic looking features. He has wide eyes the color of wild moss; his skin is a warm bronze color; his silky, black hair is cut just below the nape of his neck and falls forward to frame his face.

He wears a white cotton shirt and leather trews, his leather armor worn over his other clothes buckled down tight. A plain looking sword hangs at his waist.

Alric drags his feet through the doors of the tavern tavern exhausted, lazily glancing at the people sitting at the bar he spies an open seat and takes a load off. Sitting down with a grunt and sigh he rests two hands on the bar, looks up at the barkeep and asks:

"Whadya have that's got a good kick? It's been a long day."

Is from the link in your profile and says that you give up your proficiency to do that.

Thats an ability granted from the archetype yes but if you read the archetype itself it might clear things up.

Spoiler:
Fortunate Road

At 1st level, a Varisian pilgrim must select the Chaos, Community, Liberation, Luck, Travel, or Weather domain (or the Exploration, Fate, Freedom, Trade, or Seasons subdomains if available in the campaign) as one of her domains. If the cleric worships a deity that doesn’t normally grant one of these domains, she gains access to this domain but can only pick this one domain—she effectively loses the option to pick a second domain. As a result, very few clerics who worship deities who don’t grant access to one of the domains or subdomains listed above opt to become Varisian pilgrims. In all other respects, this works like and replaces the standard cleric’s domain ability.
