About Aleranna Dawn

Background:

Aleranna and her parents used to live in the small village of Grayleaves, a small village in the outskirts of Sargava. A half-elf and daughter of two worlds, her elven father wasn't particularly fond of the seas, so after he married her mother - a beautiful Andoran fisherwoman from Almas - they decided to move away from it.

Eventually she found the right reasons - her father wasn't only an Elf, but an Aquatic Elf, and was fleeing not only from his people (a particularly militaristic, xenophobic sect from the deep oceans), but also from their ancestral enemies. His past caught up with him, and land agents - working for mysterious forces of the Deep that Aleranna never dreamed of - captured the entire family.

Aleranna and her mother were thrown with rocks from the top of the waterfalls, and ended up at the bottom of the lake. The young half-elf, by then a teenager, remembers only her father screams of pain... And then waking up, alive, mysteriously breathing water, in front of her mother's drown body. Her mind was now full of dreams from mysterious entities of the deep seas; apparently she had inherited from her father a lot more than they imagined. It took her several hours to be able to free herself, and when she fled, the captors had already disappeared - and she never saw her father again.

She took the family's few possessions and enlisted to the local guard. Holding faith on Yuelral, like her father, she sought information on their shared past, in the hopes of some day being able to save him. Her military prowess on the sargavan ranks was obvious, to the point she would quickly pick up on techniques from several different Golarion places. Eventually she caught the attention of the Eagle Knights, and was brought up as a prospect.

Her religiousness turned her into a Paladin of Yuelral, and by her early 20s, her obsession with the seas made her a protector of them; one called a Pearl Seeker, and a dreamer of the whispering pearl she doesn't understand. The Bountiful Venture Company immediately took interest in the young half-Elf, and offered a contract to be sent to the Andoren colony of Talmandor's Bounty in the second wave of colonists. Seeing the opportunity to promote her faith, defend the innocent and search for her father, she accepted in a heartbeat.
