Alright, this is Ouachitonian's submission. I ended up going with Fighter/Inquisitor of Pharasma. Aleksander is a Dhampir who was raised in a Pharasmin monastery to hate undead. He knows that he is cursed, and hopes to stop vampires from ever spreading that curse to others, from creating more like him. Eventually he'd like to break away from the Hellknight Order of the Pike and found his own order of devout Pharasmins who hunt Undead specifically. Mortals are born, live, and die. That's the Law. He intends to make sure undead start following it. Don't ask him to take his armor off, you won't like the result and neither will he.

Mechanically, he's a two-handed reach fighter with a strong specialization in fighting undead, who can also cast some spells (including Cure spells as necessary) and has a pretty good range of skills, especially Knowledges. A jack of many trades, master of re-killing undead, if you will. I intend to take the Hellknight prestige class as soon as I'm eligible (at 6) on the Fighter side, while continuing to progress the Inquisitor side straight through until we've finished book 6.

Hey folks. I’ve recently gone back to school, flight school. I’m hoping to be an airline pilot in a few years. I knew it would take a lot of commitment, but now that it’s underway I realize the commitment is going to be significantly more than I even realized. As much as I enjoy it, I’m not going to have time for gaming for a while. Maybe I can come back in a year or so when I’m done training and just trying to build up my hours. (I’m not asking you to hold a spot for me, to be clear), but for now I have to step away. It’s been fun, and I’ll miss it, but real life has to come first. I want this career, and in the short term that’s going to require some sacrifices. Hope I see y’all around some time. Best of luck, and happy gaming.

Aleks dashes forward to the doors.

It took me most of a double move to get there, and I'm guessing it takes a whole move action to open the doors. But if I can open them, I will.

Aleks stabs at the nearby hound from the ground.

Aleks blinks a few times, but manages not to shrug off the effects of the flash. Then he moves forward, skirting the fog as much as possible and just squeezing by Galadhan, to strike at one of the mastiffs.

Aleks locks eyes with the duergar statue and freezes, his damaged rapier slipping from his grip and dissipating into shadow.

"Let them try." Aleks says, summoning his shadow blade and moving forward to attack.
It's a move action to create my weapon, then 5-foot step and attack. My archetype doesn't say anything about the shadow weapon's hit points or hardness, I'm guessing it's the same as normal blade of its enhancement bonus? (+3 effective for me right now) Anyway, I don't particularly care if they do break it, I'll just let it dissipate and create another one.

Aleks shrugs. She'd already be dead if he'd had his way, and he isn't too concerned about her fate as long as she doesn't interfere with hem anymore.

"Suit yourself." Aleks says, holding out his hand. A rapier coalesces from the shadows in his grasp.

Aleks, hands empty, steps past Leon and into view. "Hey! Who are you calling human? Also, how do you know Aiyana?"

Blinking a couple of times, Aleks shakes his head to clear it. "I can see how a beacon like that would make a useful signal, but I don't appreciate being right on top of it. Anyway, don't kill the necrowhatever-it-is. Got it."

"I suspect there are some being on elemental planes besides water who would dispute the assertion that all life depends on water. But it's true enough for all of us." Aleks puts in.

"Well, a lockpick is one thing I can't make. And I doubt that'd be much help anyway." Aleks says, reshaping his rapier into a variety of different weapons as he speaks.

Aleks draws his shadowy rapier and moves to flank with Leon, then attacks.

"No need, I can handle my own weapon!" Aleks says, before allowing his shadow weapon to dissipate and re-summoning it with ghost touch.

Having no ability to examine magical things, Aleks looks around the room.

Aleksander dashes forward and stabs at the spirit with his shadowy rapier.

Well, I get two attacks per round, I guess I could technically use them both for ranged attacks every round. I don't have Quick Draw, though, that might be an obstacle.

Moments ago...
Aleks picks up the other trident. "I hardly need a weapon in melee, but this trident is quite well-balanced for throwing. Would anyone mind if I used it?" I didn't see anyone claim the second trident. If I missed something just say so.

Now...
"You know your people better than I. It seems like you're right and they have already passed this way. But if so, something killed two of them. Anyone see any magic effects in the hallway? Traps?"

I'm not sure my blades will do anything to these stony monsters. But it's worth a try.

Aleks reaches out his hand and conjures a rapier out of shadow. Flickering gray-white flame limns its length. This done, he moves up, toward he males statue.
It takes a move action to conjure my weapon, then another to move up, so no attack this turn.

Aleks shrugs. "It's not a language I speak."

I'll presume hat Kal Drak is no longer providing the deathweb with partial cover, since he's moving away. If that's wrong, modify as necessary.

As Kal Drak clears his line of sight, Aleks stabs at the deathweb.

As Aleks moves forward, he looks witty distaste on the swarms of spiders. ”Well. This calls for something I don’t do much.” he says, as he drops his shield to the ground. His shadowy blade then lengthens, becoming a longspear.

Move action to move up and drop my shield, then a move to draw my shadow weapon, choosing a +2 thundering longspear this time. No piranha strike or dex to att/dam that way, but it has reach, which I definitely want right now. Also, I’m still on mobile, someone move me up between Kal and Akku.
