...and I do not get accepted to many, but there was a bit of time there where I was studying for a certification when some good game recruitment was happening and my half assed submissions were not good enough...

Yes, but it consumes resources other than the spell and changes my spell load out when we go past the door...

So, assuming we make it to the room just prior to the hall leading to the ornate door before the temple and before we start casting any more buffs in the room, Alana wants to cast a detect magic down the hall to see if the door is still enchanted, and if it is make a Spellcraft check to see what it might be.

If no one else wants Enlarge Person, I can through Protection #6 on myself so his list can stay as is. I recommend the cure spell over Aid...Aid got a big nerf in 3.5/PF compared to what it did for a 1E/2E character.

I intend to cast Enlarge Person on Marthek (with DM approval) and Elathras and can get up to 2 more PCs if they ask for it. Finally, I will prepare my PC with Armored Mask immediately following Spell preparation at the beginning of the day (cost 1 Reservoir point).

Total resources used:
1 2d level spell to fuel my reservoir
1 reservoir point for armored mask
2 first level spells enlarge person in prep room (amend if needed for more)
1 3d level spell and 1 reservoir point for haste in prep room
option: if the door radiates magic, 1 reservoir point for quick study and a second plus 3d level spell for dispel magic; if door is not, then 1 reservoir point and 2d level spell for mirror image

4 reservoir points, 2 1st, 1 2d, and 2 3d level spells for option 1
3 reservoir points, 2 1st, 2 2d, and 1 3d level spell for option 2

I am updating my signature line for each step as we reach or exceed it since we might have a random encounter or something.

Once we reach the spell prep room, Alana will arm herself with her rod of metamagic (selection) and require a move action to recall her heavy flail from her Handy Haversack.

Alright, who is getting what?

I got up to 4 Haste, but each one takes away a fireball, or I can change one of the two to a dispel for the door which will take a total of two rounds (one for the change itself and another to cast the spell and put my book away, but you guys will be able to act on round 2)

I can also do up to 6 Enlarge Person or Protection From Evil

Haste is rounds, I max out at 9 exactly, but the other ones are in minutes, so they will get cast first

My bad, I was distracted when I typed out the post this morning and left an incomplete thought, the idea for the knowledge check was in case she could recall any details from our previous encounter with the demon, especially if she could recall any weaknesses or vulnerabilities for us to exploit.

I am actually jet last, I got skipped on the last round which is why it looked like I went out of order. I was originally going to drop a fireball, but had an epiphany by the time everyone went and used a different spell instead. I will likely pass this round and let the melee folks chop up the ogres while they are blind, but it always depends on the most up to date actions when we get there...

Sorry, I had a long weekend of study and neglected to check this game

The ogres are blinded if they fail the save and dazzled if they passed it. In either case, it lasts: rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 2

He can also delete his cache as i have heard that may be required as well. I did not have to do either as my computer rebooted itself (gee thanks microsuck) on its own which accomplished both tasks.

Sorry for the silence this week, my computer rebooted and we had a near miss with a storm. It always takes me forever to get reacquainted with all the sites I interact with when I have to sign back into them all and catch up. Anyway, back in the dungeon...

I think a purple worm may be beyond us in the same way the temple is. Ditto for the blob thingy. That is my only concern. Otherwise, I am open to any path we travel. Have we recovered the mirror from the cave of illusions yet? That is also on level 3 if we have not gotten it yet (someone metagamed that it was quite valuable...). Are there any ups or downs we passed along the way we have not yet partaken in yet?

Of note, above ground stuff is all hit or miss. Either we will be good to take it on or it will eat our lunch (and designed to be that way). The countryside is crawling with bandits, that is no secret...

Taking stock of my abilities, I got one good fight (or a couple of small ones) left in me before they begin to really thin out...I am considering using up a spell slot just to get more reservoir points too. Our path forward will determine if I do that.

no issues with going over level three before returning to four, just as long as we stay away from any purple worms....I do not think they will improve our situation...

I will never understand the need for people (and I am married to one) to watch news shows all day long expecting something different, when you can still go about your life and check once or twice for those same updates, if any. it legitimately baffles me, but hey, I am also the guy that will not stand in line to get something from the store if I can just come back later and get it without the wait (often cheaper too).
