Brv, did Elathras find any more hidden tunnels?

Looking at Thoron, Elathras shrugs, "Last time we got our butts handed to us. If you think we can do something different I'm game." He gestures towards Max's cave. "There were two other caves leading down in Max's cave. I don't know if they would be safer or not."

probably not.

As the conversation turns to 'tunnels' Elathras points out, "We've checked all the tunnels on this level. The 'tunnels' in Max's cave go down further." giving a grin. "If anything comes up them, I doubt if it will make it past Max."

Shrugging, Elathras leads the group towards the temple. On the way there he asks, "Does anyone remember what Marthek and Thoron were fighting in the back? I didn't get a very good look at it." Scratching his head, "And wasn't the door cursed or something?"

I moved the group to the room with the "2" though the tunnel to the bunk room that the creature materialized.

Nodding to Thoron, Elathras says, "I know the perfect spot, the elf tomb we found on the above level." He then leads the group back to the stairwell and up to the third floor where the elven maid still slept in her eternal slumber. Once they went down the ladder, Elathras closed the hatch. "We should be able to rest here without needing a watch."

After you decide on your offensive spells, let the rest be cures and restores; maybe a Bless and a Prayer, just remember to let loose on the prayer after we go in so the bad guys are affected too.

I intend to cast Enlarge Person on Marthek (with DM approval) and Elathras and can get up to 2 more PCs if they ask for it. As we reach the hall before the door leading into the star shaped room, I want to cast Detect Magic on the ornately decorated door to see if it has any magical traps. If it does, I will also be casting a Haste with 1 Reservoir point for Potent Magic to increase my caster level to 9 (giving 9 rounds of effect) on the party the round before we enter the hallway before the door, so I can then use 1 reservoir point to Quick Study Haste into Dispel Magic and then cast it on the door with the intent of getting any magic trap or runes on the door also using 1 Reservoir point to increase caster level with Potent Magic. If not, I will instead go Haste as above and move with the party down the hall casting Mirror Image with 1 reservoir point for increased caster level in the same round. Finally, I will prepare my PC with Armored Mask immediately following Spell preparation at the beginning of the day (cost 1 Reservoir point).

Total resources used:
1 2d level spell to fuel my reservoir
1 reservoir point for armored mask
2 first level spells enlarge person in prep room (amend if needed for more)
1 3d level spell and 1 reservoir point for haste in prep room
option: if the door radiates magic, 1 reservoir point for quick study and a second plus 3d level spell for dispel magic; if door is not, then 1 reservoir point and 2d level spell for mirror image

4 reservoir points, 2 1st, 1 2d, and 2 3d level spells for option 1
3 reservoir points, 2 1st, 2 2d, and 1 3d level spell for option 2

I am updating my signature line for each step as we reach or exceed it since we might have a random encounter or something.

Once we reach the spell prep room, Alana will arm herself with her rod of metamagic (selection) and require a move action to recall her heavy flail from her Handy Haversack.

Ok guys, This is what I am planning on getting for going into the temple.

5 Protection from Evil
Cure Light wounds

Bear's Endurance
Bull Strength
Remove Paralysis
Aid or Cure Moderate Wounds (Which one do you all think?)

Prayer
Remove Blindness/Deafness
Remove Curse
Cure Serious

Cure Critical
Fire Shield
Neutralize Poison

Plus I have 5 Channels for healing the entire party.

Any more suggestions?

Are you calculating Marthek in on your spells?

Grand Lodge

Thought so. There's Alana, Thoron, Cuthalian, Elathras, and Marthak for the Protection from Evil. If he wants to get Something besides Bear's Strength, Bull Endurance (I can get either or for him) let me know. Or I can cast Aid on him.

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1

Gaging interest in who wants to play/continue an old RA game?

Male Human Rogue6/Clr1

Welcome to Zelkor’s Ferry. I hope the captain didn’t question you too
hard at the gate. You may be a person bent on finding an adventure, but
you don’t look like a troublemaker to me.
The woman’s blue eyes seem
to twinkle as she smiles at you. Her light brown hair is beginning to show some grey, but her arms look strong where she has pushed up the sleeves of her brown dress. If it’s adventure you want, let me tell you, you’ve come to the right place. Although we hold our own here, this area can by no means be considered safe and there’s plenty for a brave soul to find and do.
[b]I’m Amelia, and my husband and I are the proprietors of Bristleback
Inn. It’s been in my husband’s family for several generations.
She leads you into the building’s common room and continues. A room with your board is one gold piece a night… Thank you very much. The stable is just next door and stabling for a horse or mule is one silver piece. Anything more exotic than that and you’ll have to ask Bristleback; we own the stable, too. The two fellows out there, Vort and Igor, are both decent folk and will take good care of any of your animals.
Amelia turns to survey the room, and you take a look around also. The
inn’s low-ceilinged common room is really nothing special, but out here
so far from civilization it seems to have all the comforts of home. The
tables are well-worn, but also well-scrubbed. In fact, a teen-aged girl with hair the color of honey is engaged in scrubbing one right now. [b]Don’t forget the sides, Ysbel,
Amelia says to her. The slender girl looks up at the comment, flashes a shy smile when she sees you looking at her, and then goes back to her work.
The shutters are open to let in some fresh air, and at the far end of the room a small fire burns in the fireplace as an old man snoozes in a chair nearby. Lamps are set into brackets high on the walls, to provide the most light in the evenings and also keep them out of the way of clumsy patrons.
The bar is on the other side of you, before the stairs; it is supplied with a couple of kegs, and a row of pottery mugs hung on pegs on the wall. The treads on the stairs are worn in the centers, and you can see that anyone of much height will need to duck on the way up to avoid an inconvenient beam.
A door opens between the bar and the stairs, and another woman enters
carrying two sealed bottles. The woman has skin the golden-brown color
of good ale; her eyes are deeper brown, and she wears her black hair pulled up into a loose knot at the back of her head. “Amelia, the cook brought these up from the cellar and told me we’ll be needin’ them in here.”
Amelia nods. I heard Bristleback tell Gumbel last night to get some
more bottles up here today. Just put them in the rack under the counter,
Tallie.” The woman does as instructed, than straightens to look at you.
Amelia introduces her. “This is Tallie, one of our serving women. She and Ysbel stay plenty busy around here, but feel free to ask them if you need something and I’m not around.

Suddenly from behind the door you hear a man’s voice, rather muffled,
calling Tallie!
That Gumbel! she exclaims, and rolls her eyes. I’m coming! Keep yer britches on, she calls, then disappears again behind the door.
Amelia gives one last satisfied look at the room, then turns to you. “I
need to get out back and weed the vegetables or pretty soon we aren’t
going to be able to find the food for the weeds. The privies are around
back to the left; the kitchen garden is to the right. If you end up around that way by mistake, watch your step because I don’t want anyone trampling on my garden. You ought to take a look around and chat with some of the people here; I’m sure several of them have things to tell you about their own experiences in this area, things that might help keep you alive whenyou head out looking for your destiny.” With that parting remark, Amelia also disappears through the door to the kitchen and leaves you alone.
You’re not quite alone, though, as you realize when a soft voice
interrupts your thoughts. Pardon me. It’s the young maid; Ysbel, that was her name. She’s now working on a table nearer you, and lays down her small scrubbing brush when you turn.
I couldn’t help but hear what Amelia said about people having things
to tell you. I know someone who tells amazing stories! Some of them
may even be true.” She gestures to the old man sitting in the corner by
the fireplace and continues. “That’s old Russ. He’s Amelia’s grandpappy,
and to hear him tell it, he may have tamed this whole area single-handedly when he was young. There’s no doubt his stories are interesting, though they might not be helpful to you. Let me just get his attention.

Helgash steps fully into the Bristleback Inn and lets the door close behind him. He pauses just inside the threshold.

His brown eyes move across the room in a slow, practical sweep - fireplace, bar, stairs, windows, corners - then settle briefly on the old man near the hearth. After that, he continues into the room at an even pace, boots quiet on the worn floorboards.

He carries himself in travel-stained clothing and well-used armor that has clearly been maintained rather than replaced. A longsword hangs at his side. He stops near one of the tables within easy view of the common room.

When Amelia finishes speaking, he turns toward her properly.

“Well met, and thank you for the warm welcome. A room will be great, if you have one available.” He nods once. “And food as well. Board for the night.”

He chooses a seat near one of the tables where he can see the hearth and the door, sets his pack down beside him, and eases into the chair without ceremony.

When Ysbel looks over, he returns her smile and listens without interrupting.

As she mentions the old man, Helgash glances toward the hearth. He reaches into his pouch and sets a few silver pieces on the table within Ysbel’s reach, not sliding them or pushing them toward her.

“For his food and drink then,” he says, nodding once toward the sleeping figure. “When he wakes. Whatever he’s having here. Maybe then he’ll share some of those stories.”

Zennek gave an amused grunt and shook his head at Amelia's comment about the captain. He replied in his deep, gravelly voice, "Nahhh. All good."

He looked around the inn as she droned on a bit about it "Not bad." he finally said afterwards. But the mention of the one gold a night made him frown slightly. He didn't have a lot of money at the moment, which is why he was adventuring. But he didn't say anything.

He didn't spare much of a glance at the girl. His eyes followed the bottles brought up, though it could be mistaken as starting at the woman carrying them. He shifted his eyes away after the bottles disappeared under the counter.

He nodded at the advice and glanced at the old man, then at Helgash. He waited, but ordered an ale. "Ale please."

"In the mean time, can I get a mug of ale to clear the dust from my throat?"
