BACKSTORY
Personal Description:

Abraham is a rugged, well-built, wolfish looking man in his late thirties. He would be a more attractive man if he remembered to regularly shave and got a decent night's rest instead of long nights running on a cup of black joe. His clothing is taken care of to be professional but the Great Depression has made him have to cut corners. He is just starting to pick himself up and already found himself in quite a mess.

Ideology/Beliefs:

Abraham is a firm believer that with hard work and dedication, you can accomplish almost anything. It wasn't the everyday worker who brought the economy down; it was crooks and conmen, gamblers and villains. Those who cheat the system and abuse the goodness of others earn his ire and contempt, as well as those who abuse the common man and the downtrodden.

Significant People:

Jessie Callaghan: My partner while we working the beat before I went off on my own. They were an honest officer and taught me how to look for danger before it found us. He had found out about a bunch of crooked cops and needed my testimony to put them away. New to the force, I didn't have the guts and it cost him his badge. I need to make it up to him someday, for lifting the veil and showing me how dirty the streets really are.
Sherman Wolfe: My best friend growing up in Brooklyn, my family was dirt poor and his was colored so the well-to-do's didn't pay us any mind. When I left the force, he helped pay for my office and got me my first client tracking down a lost dog. Hell, have things changed since then.
Jeremiah Pierce: When my real father passed away from consumption and my mother was a poor widow, this titan of a man stepped in and raised me right and took care of her. Stoic and calm, I've never felt like I met his approval even when I became a cop. He always wanted more from me. Maybe one day, I'll prove it to him.

Meaningful Locations:

My Office Pierce Investigations is my home away from home, a ramshackle office cluttered with files, cigarette butts, and the perpetual smell of days-old coffee and smoke. There is nowhere else I rather be though. I'm going to change the whole damn city from that little office and one day, everyone will know that Abraham Pierce has your back.

Treasured Possessions:

The Colt 1911: This weapon was owned by Captain Zachary Willows, the bravest man I ever knew in the war. He was my senior officer but we were the same age and he was like a brother to me. When the Germans attacked us with gas in a surprise attack in the early morning, I had lost my mask. He strapped his mask to me and saved me. I will always keep this weapon and do my very best to live my life a way he'd be proud of. I miss you Zach.

Traits:

If three words could summarize Abraham, it would be stubborn, world-weary, and loyal. Abraham has seen some of the worst that humanity has to offer; war, violence, desperate and wicked crime, along with corruption among the elites that should protect the world. Such revelations could break a man but Abraham is too damn stubborn to stop and too loyal to his friends who could be harmed if someone isn't out there fighting the good fight. A man of principle, if not faith, Abraham truly believes that evil only wins if good people do nothing and Abraham fights dirty.
