Paizo's releasing as Irrisen book called Irrisen - Land of Eternal Winter.
So, I'm guessing these things are linked.

Good guess... ; )

Nah that would require the AP to move the back story along and we all know that never happens in Golarion
Actually that's specifically what is going to happen. Baba Yaga is coming back, and the results of that will play out through the AP. What won't happen is that the AP after Reign of Winter won't take in to account the changes.

Actually, it would be required the AP in order to maintain the status quo of the setting, since the World Guide indicates that Baba Yaga is due back in 4713 (which equates to 2013, as it's already been established that Golarion years move forward and correlate to real world years).

My rough guess for the AP plot: Baba Yaga is coming back, but her daughter does not want to go and she traps her mother somehow, trying to use her as a power source to fuel the expansion of a never-ending winter. The PCs, starting off in Taldor, have to figure out what's going on, retrieve some artifact from Triaxus, and then sneak into Irrisen to go rescue the mythical Witch Queen. Once she's freed, Baba Yaga will then remove the current Queen of Irrisen as a quasi- (or-maybe-not-so-quasi-) deus ex machina.
Then she installs a new daughter to reign over Irrisen and Golarion can continue on as normal for all future APs, just with a different daughter sitting on Irrisen's throne.

Since BY would put a new daughter on the throne anyway, it doesn't even matter to your Golarion's history whether or not this happens.

Wow... ummm that sounds like a pretty darn guess... I sure hope they can toss in a twist somewhere
