The pace is fine for me personally, and I like the flavor of old school sword and sorcery. A nice revelation at the end as well.
I agree with you, Kevin.
I particularly liked the way it was revealed, too. Reminds me of something that might happen at the table with my gaming group. :D

Ooooohhh... I think Roubris and Karatha are in SO much trouble.
Plus... I really think Monte Cook needs to be on a short list for Pathfinder Tales authors in 2012. Please, please, please.
Why wait for so long? We know Dave has a book due for Genconish, but that still leaves a slot open for the Winter 2011 book...

Writing a book, uh, takes a while. ;)
As do revision, copyediting, design/layout, and all the other things that go along with transforming a Word doc to an actual book you can hold. It's not a speedy process -- and if you like good books, you probably don't want it to be.

Trust me, those slots have been filled--they just haven't been announced. With novels, it's important to work as far in advance as you possibly can. :) But that doesn't mean we're not still listening to fan demands!

Thanks James. :)
Oh... uh... I didn't mean to sound demanding... ;) just pleading/requesting. Honest.

Reading this story is such fun! I admit I had a hard time envisioning some of the battle - how did the mouths manage to bite Karatha's sword-arm when she was wearing armor and using her weapon? - but overall I enjoyed it. Even the anticipated revelation from Serth. I'm looking forward to the final chapter.
