Well, you guys don't just get the rules published in Italian; you get adventures as well! ;) No such luck here in Finland -- we only have D&D (the "classic" Red Box), RQ and Rolemaster (plus some supplements and modules) which were all published twenty years ago! On the other hand, I see it as a major advantage that we had to use the original books; it has helped a lot to improve our English. :)
As far as I can tell, Pathfinder is doing really well over here, too; outside the capital (where 4E is perhaps just as popular) there is no real competition with PF.

Makes me wonder what kind of game play Italians favor...
I can try with this, but there are many italians here on the messageboards who can answer in different ways. Now, that's because this varies greatly. I'd say that 3.5 was really popular some years ago... White Wolf has a nice share of the market, but not that much. 4E is not doing as well as 3.5, afaik. Pathfinder goes pretty well in my area (central Italy)! Sadly, there's not much room for smaller publishers, but I don't think we should put Paizo with the small ones.
I'd also say that Pathfinder is really more known/played in Italy that in Ireland!

that's sure but the problem with italian traslations is for my player, not for me i understand english very well, but my players emh.... xD they're not so good at this! by the way even if the APG is not traslated we still use feats and classes from it, but I have to translate them for my players.

Actually... as translation supervisor, I can attest we are QUITE fast. ^_^
Council of Thieves translation is to be concluded this month, we have most of the Companions ready, the GMGuide is in its "trimming" phase (to avoid breaking the two-page format most of the articles have), tha APG is currently under revision. The most time-consuming work is what follows the translation: editing and making up.
Anyway, I spent a whole day working at Wyrd Edizioni stand (on saturday) and meeting Sarah Robinson was quite a honor. :-)
The Italian Core Rulebook and the Bestiary sold very well. I think there were very few remaining, on the last day of the con. ;-)

when i said the traslators i meant the whole process of publishing a book, not just the translation itself, sorry for the mistake :)
(p.s. spero di poter comprare presto la GMG e l'APG in Italiano:D )

Jakoov my pal, when the PDF version of the revised rulebook will be available? The one without the ungodly number of typos...
I have purchased the file at the RPGNow store, but last time I checked it was still the first printing release (the reduced filesize one).
I heard that it should have been released some days before the Lucca Games convention, then it was a simultaneous release, now it's been delayed "a few days after the show"...

Not giving judgments, but simply by statistics, mostly everyone I have talked to is unsatisfied by Wyrd's work so far. It's not about typos on the books, which are human, it's because orders are processed in an incredibly slow fashion.
I have a lot of friends which started buying stuff from Wyrd, and then gave up, preferring to spend some more to buy books directly from Paizo, which is super-fast and extremely reliable.

Couldn't go to Lucca, to tell the truth i haven't gone there for years; i have two comics/rpgs stores very close ( around Cattolica ) and can buy everything i'ld find in Lucca, and i have the problem i can only go at Sunday, staying there only 2-3 hours in the afternoon before leaving.
Plenty satisfied with Wyrd's job so far, can't wait to have the GM guide and APG translated :)
