Keen of all senses - a life spent outside honing each - Jakoby notices the subtle changes in Itka's and Doc Bloodshank's body language.
"You still with us, Itka?" recovering her swing, she whirls her katana forward, ready to strike again "What about you, Doc? You okay there?" she looks around her team "Doncha be thinking we'll be abandoning you here - we need you to pilot this ship!"
Suspicion tinges Itka's assessment of Jakoby's intent. She knows a response is necessary, but she doesn't want to reveal that she is aware of Jakoby's betrayal. Hmp. I need to keep them focused on each other. With Bremix right next to Jakoby, it shouldn't be too hard to get her to focus on him, right? "Hmp. Don't be ridicul--Watch out!"

Every +1 matters, Argoni! Elite Skelm's Spell DC is 26. Your paranoia will only last 1 round now. And yes, the Skelm and Bremix are still not your friends, you can be hostile towards them.
Argoni's intuition reveals the obvious conclusion... right?
I'll give Doc a few more hours before delaying.

Itka did you crit fail the paranoia save? Just wondering how it is yours lasts so long! :)
Itka Biklest
|
No, just a regular failure, which is like a Success except it lasts for a whole minute. I even used a Hero Point (brought my total up to 23), for all the good it did.
| GM chadius |
As Doc Bloodshanks delays, Jakoby takes a moment to think about her actions. He'd try to heal her with his alchemy. But if she brushed off Isaku's efforts like that, why should she? Wait a minute, why is she even resisting? She shakes off her paranoia.
Meanwhile, Itka prepares herself for the inevitable counterattack. It's clear to her who will win, so she expands her bane to cover all but Argoni.
Elite Skelm vs Bane: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
Weak Skelm vs Bane: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Both Skelm succumb to the Paranoia. Will her former allies stand tall?
With BakBat bleeding out, the weaker Skelm focuses on bludgeoning Ro.
Antlers: 1d20 + 18 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 18 - 1 = 19
Fist: 1d20 + 18 - 4 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 18 - 4 - 1 = 22
Fist: 1d20 + 18 - 8 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 18 - 8 - 1 = 16
And it doesn't do much.

Will DC 27 vs >Bane<
Itka, Jakoby, BakBat
You believe everyone is a potential threat. You become unfriendly to all creatures to which you weren't already hostile, even those that were previously allies. You treat no one as an ally.
Itka: This lasts until the end of Isaku's Round 11.
BakBat: This lasts until the end of Isaku's Round 4.
Round 4
Elite Skelm [Yellow \] (107 Damage, Bane)
Itka (Mage Armor, Moth's Supper, Heroism, Bane 15 feet, Paranoia)
Weak Skelm [Black X] (2 damage, Bane)
Doc Bloodshanks
Isaku
Argoni (darkvision elixir, invigorating coffee, lesser Bravo's Brew, Prone, 12 Damage)
Round 5
Jakoby (Prone, Numbing tonic, 3 Temp HP, 127 damage, Battle Medicine Immune: Doc Bloodshanks)
- Ro (19 damage)
BakBat (Prone, Dying 1, 78 damage)

Isaku sends Bakbat some much needed healing.
Soothe, Lvl 2: 2d10 + 8 ⇒ (5, 6) + 8 = 19
Will(E): 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21
Will(E), HP, Vestments: 1d20 + 16 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 16 + 1 = 31
Healing, Heroic Intervention: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 2) = 8
Everyone w/in 30' gets +8 hp healing
even if they cannot see you due to being unconscious
He then shoots Yellow.
+2 Striking Frozen Dueling Pistol, 60' range, Reload 1: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29 for Concussive Damage: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (5, 2) + 2 = 9 plus Cold: 1d6 ⇒ 2
◈◈ Soothe @ Bakbat
◈ Shoots Yellow
BakBat
|
Feeling better, BakBat stands, strides away, and makes an Elemental Toss at the Elite Skelm: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20for: 5d8 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (8, 4, 3, 2, 8) + 5 + 2 = 32 fire damage.
Doc Bloodshanks
|
Hoping that Jakoby's gotten together enough not to attack him, Doc darts around to get a better angle of attack on the enemies.
◆ Strike
He draws an alchemist's fire from his belt and hurls it at the weak skelm.
◆ Quick Bomber: Draw alchemist's fire & strike
Alchemist fire attack on weak skelm: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29
Alchemist fire damage: 2d8 ⇒ (8, 6) = 14 +2 persistent fire +2 splash damage - Directional Bombs means the splash cone will hit the Elite skelm but not hit Ro
He then mixes together a quick versatile vial and throws it at the weak skelm unless he's down, then I'd target elite skelm.
◆ Quick Bomber: Quick Alchemy (craft versatile vial) & strike
Versatile vial attack w/ MAP: 1d20 + 15 - 5 ⇒ (10) + 15 - 5 = 20
Versatile vial (acid) damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 4) = 6 +2 acid splash - Directional Bombs avoids Ro in the splash

Isaku heals BakBat. BakBat realizes Isaku is one of his teammates, and he shakes off the paranoia. Isaku then shoots one of the Skelm.
BakBat decides it's time to get away from the antlers and backs up, hurling a flaming rock in the Skelm's general direction.
Doc Bloodshanks sees Jakoby is still conscious and hurls a bomb, exploding on the skelms without singeing Ro. His followup misses but the acid splash stings.

She watches as he goes down with one between the eyes. And looks up "You bastard" nocking another arrow.
| GM chadius |
Jakoby gets her distance and thanks -or curses- Old Deadeye before killing the Skelm with the Yellow sash.
Itka realizes it's time to move. The battlefield will become one sided quickly. Soon they will focus on just her.

Argoni Slate
|
Stratagem: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Argoni breathes a sigh of relief when the Elite Skelm is shot down by Jakoby. He looks to the last Skelm and casually tosses an acid bomb at its feet without even watching it spray him. Then the halfling turns to Jakoby. "You finally ok with us healing you?" He tries to quickly wrap one of her wounds.
Attack vs Skelm: 11 + 17 = 28
Acid Damage: 2d6 + 2 + 2d8 ⇒ (5, 4) + 2 + (5, 2) = 18 +2 acid splash to Skelm and Ro
Battle Medicine on Jakoby, DC20: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (6) + 15 = 21

Argoni Slate

Argoni shouldn't be prone anymore. He stood up here. But I definitely mistook Doc for Jakoby.
Argoni looks at Doc and says, "You aren't Jakoby!" He moves bravely in front of Bakbat to guard him from the Skelm.
Also, I'll make the Skelm off-guard to BakBat's next attack (Shared Stratagem).
Itka Biklest

Hmp. Now things get dangerous. Sweating bullets, Itka slips past Isaku, and is shocked that he doesn't attack her as she does so. Hmp. What game is he playing? Regardless, she needs to act quickly before the rest of her enemies scatter, as they're already starting to do. Sliding into a spot that allows her Bane spell to cover everyone except Isaku and Jakoby, she unleashes a Shadow Blast on the hopefully-unsuspecting combatants in a 30 foot cone.
Spirit damage: 6d8 ⇒ (4, 5, 6, 7, 6, 8) = 36
DC 27 basic Will or Reflex (target's choice) from every character/creature except Isaku and Jakoby.
She hates having Isaku behind her; her back crawls with unease at being surrounded, but she's not out of tricks yet!
◆ Stride, ◆◆ Cast a spell
| GM chadius |
Argoni mistakes the Doc for Jakoby - they're so tall! And chooses to burn the Skelm instead before protecting his fellow short fellow.
Narcela lies in the corner of the ship, shuddering as she struggles to keep Aslynn's magic off of her. She looks up and sees Itka's wary eye. "N-no... the skelm, they can... make you paranoid... stop..."
The Netherworld heeds her call and focuses into her hands as she blasts almost everyone with pure force. They're not going to take her down without a fight!
Reflex: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (13) + 14 = 27
The Skelm avoids the worst of the blast. But what of Itka's allies?
The Skelm wastes no time gloating. "Yes! You have no friends here. You must strike them first!" He calls out, trying to Incite Violence amongst all of you.
Watching Itka's crazed look, he attacks Ro.
Antlers: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (11) + 18 = 29
He curses as Itka's Bane wards off his blow. The persistent burning isn't helping either.
Flat Check vs Persistent Fire: 1d20 ⇒ 4
