Do we have a Diplomat? Djedefre only receives 1 skill point per level but if we don't have one he could apply it there and go from a +5 to a +9.

So, I have reached out to Luke's player repeatedly but haven't heard from them. Do we want to keep the five we have or bring in a sixth? If bringing in a sixth, is there anyone from the recruitment the party has a preference for?
I'm always in favor of six to at least increase the HP pool.
I'll take a look at the list; there are some good options.Maybe post an update to the Recruitment thread and see who is still interested?

For example the player who created Mansoor Farazm Yousef Tarabin hasn't posted since last July so I'm guessing they aren't around.
I'd prefer a martial even though PFS1 leans towards magic dominating at the mid levels and beyond. But we have to survive to get to that point.

Anyone else have an opinion? I'll reopen the recruitment thread today so look at whoever replies.
I'm glad the one player re-posted interest because their PC drew my eye: Seraphina. I am a bit worried about a 2nd bloodrager; Luke was able to focus on melee combat without magic of rage.
Looking at the character sheet I think it can function fine without magic or bloodrage and has a decent set of skills.

More the merrier!
I don't think we are in desperate need of any particular character (we don't have a rogue, but Djedefre can spot the traps, and Djehuti is not too bad disabling them. Knowledges are covered. No dedicated face, but some members of the party are charismatic enough, etc.)Let's see what people come up with.
I'll try to get the level-up done today.

Heh; Amal is not as special as he thinks x)
I'm fine with bringing someone new over!
Very sad that Luke has left, though...

It is. When this last absence turned out longer than the previous ones I checked the player's profile and noticed he didn't have any other PCs nor was he GMing a table.
He's a great GM too which makes this even worse. :(

Seraphina can tank and face, seems like a good fit. I haven't looked at any of the other prospective characters yet.

It also depends if Amal and Senemheb want to be the 'tanks' from here forward. If so then we could look to add one of the rogues. With the Finesse Training of the Urogues they make good '2nd line' melee combatants.
I conferred with the GM and Djedefre is going to do a stat swap that I initially considered when making the PC. The original plan was 8 Str and 12 Int but I didn't read Senemheb's character sheet well enough; he's a far superior 2nd liner to Djedefre.
This will allow Djedefre to not be a total liability in the skills department which will hopefully help the party as a whole in the future.
I've got tons of things going on right now but I'll get Djedefre leveled to 3, stats swapped, and skill points added.
Another group FYI: Djedefre's 3rd level feat will be Bless Equipment but not the 'official' version. The GM and I discussed it and felt it was underpowered for what it offered. So it will be a friendlier version that will allow Djedefre to use Channels to assist the party in other ways besides healing. So good news!

Oh well now there's an undead scourge paladin of Ra. That's another choice for someone who can face and tank. It would also give Djedefre a buddy Ra worshipper.
I'll get DJ leveled up today. I'm trying to do the Iron Man thing with him where whenever he gets the chance he builds/buys/learns something to overcome a problem he had in the last mission. This one was the need for AoE damage/something to fight swarms.
Senemheb
Well... as a dabbling necromancer, an undead scourge paladin might not be my first choice for a new companion :)
Moral discrepancies aside, paladins work well in undead- and disease-infested old tombs.

I do like the paladin but right now I'd lean towards either Seraphina or one of the unchained rogues if we think we need that more than another frontliner. Although, again, with Finesse Training a Urogue can deal decent damage.

Closing recruitment tomorrow, any votes for or against submissions?
Also, funny seeing most of the party hit by that. Imagining the camera pan around to see humanoid clouds of dust behind him.
I'll take a closer look at the new(er) submissions. I think I'm still leaning towards Seraphina. But one of the trap specialists would be quite useful as well.
Djehuti of El-Shelad
I'm good with Seraphina too but I haven't looked at the recruitment thread for a few days.

That's 2 for Seraphina. I also like Akina's concept and can vouch for Ananet's player - the latter is in another game of mine.
I concur on both of those points.
I've never seen a Possessed Hand build before and I find it both disturbing and funny. :)
The Urogue chassis is solid and is a really good hitter in addition to being a trap disabler.

Poor Amal!! Not even the ghost of Luke lingered behind? x)
I'm fairly busy this week-end, but I'll try to have a look at the applications when I can!
Senemheb
Akina’s backstory feels the best fit and easy to introduce into the group. And the build should work as well. But I have nothing against Seraphina, either.

It's very hard to decide!!!!
I would lean either towards Seraphina or Akina
It is tough. I'm wondering if Akina might be the better choice because we'd have two 'disablers' and then Djehuti wouldn't have to be the one taking the lead on traps.
Thankfully the Urogue has the Finesse training so they're decent in combat. So while Akina couldn't match Luke's or Seraphina's damage output she has a much broader array of skills.
