Alexandrios Pontiki |

"Only a pair of old eyes, sorry. If the foci are not here, maybe there is some kind of arcane study somewhere. Let's search all the rooms. Was there another floor in this building?" Alexandrios gives his thoughts.

![]() |

"I am not shure I can do that..." Griphook says sheepishly.
I do not have Detect Magic, but we can try Identify Magic.

GM MattMorris |

I suggest exploring. There's a lot of magic bopping around right now anyway, so that might not even be a reliable clue. Don't forget that Tels and Zim are still wandering around!

![]() |

Griphook nods in agreement. He then follows Vim to see what the goblin is up to. "I will follow Vim."

Alexandrios Pontiki |

"Aren't all other students already back in the hall? As they seem to draw these strange events to them, we can all go to get them back." Alexandrios says and follows the others.

GM MattMorris |

Sorry for the delay, folks. Got crushed with some writing and work deadlines. Could you move your characters on the map to where you are heading?
Ma'elo continues to hunt through the lower floor of the lodge, and in the northeast corner he finds an armory. Weapon racks, suits of armor, and racks of steel shields on display stands line the walls of this well-stocked armory. Several weapons are laid out on the table, along with whetstones and oil clothes.
The room is deserted and quiet.

GM MattMorris |

Tels and Vim are examining the room’s equipment in the room with interest as Ka'elen enters. They look up and exclaim in surprise: "Hey, it's one of the chaperones!"
It's clear that they can see the Ka'elen in the mirror, though their forms are indistinct and shadowy. Vim asks, "Where's everyone else? Could you show off some moves? This looks like the only place that we can see you!"
If you gather the group, you can demonstrate Pathfinder combat techniques by attempting Athletics checks, Strikes, or spell attack rolls.

![]() |

Ka'elen interpretive dances in front of the mirror for Tels and Vim. He's attempting to communicate this: "Gather all of the students here so we can explain what's going on and the plan"
Athletics: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
He then calls out to Griphook, "Would you go and gather the rest of the pathfinders and bring them here?"
Ok, apparently Ka'elen is a dancer now!

![]() |

Griphook nods and goes to gather other Pathfinders.
"I wanna show you the elf danching." he urges them to join him.

![]() |

Jackie takes the opportunity to show off her own combat skills, demonstrating how to throw a proper punch.
Strike: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Griphook, once back, also shows off by magically throwing a pillow to hit a chair.
Telekinetic Projectile Spell Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26

Alexandrios Pontiki |

Alexandrios mixes some ingredients and throws the resulting vial at the same chair Griphook hit.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
The vial flies between the chair legs, and liquid spills around. "Well, it might have hit a humanoid... at least I remembered to make it a healing one, or we'd have holes in the floor from the acid."

GM MattMorris |

Tels and Vim mutter appreciatively at the displays of Pathfinder prowess. As attacks span the room, ripples travel across the giant mirror on the wall. Like fish emerging from a pond, multicolored monsters emerge from the mirror, looking very unfriendly!
Luckily, it doesn't seem like Tels and Vim are in any danger. They don't even seem to see the new arrivals!

"Elena, Quicksilver!" Alexandrios tells her rat-wife, who springs into action. Alexandrios himself mixes some sparkling ingredients onto a vial, and tosses it at the nearest, bluer, creature. He mixes some more, into an empty vial and throws it at the same target.

I was hoping to put it off-guard with the Bottled Lightning, but that's a bit low roll. But it would hit the wall so splash applies?

Yes, splash always applies as long as you don't critically miss!
The shattering vial of lightning splashes against the worm, and the creature sizzles. Its flesh ripples and takes on the white-blue glow of a lightning bolt. The second attack against it goes far wide, not splashing the creature.
Ma'elo rushes the worm and slices at it, scoring a hit. In return, the creature floats into Ma'elo's space and lashes out at the elf with its tail.
tail: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 for slashing: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

"Oh, wow!" Tels comments. "From what we could see, that was quite the battle. Wait until we tell everyone else about your moves!"
Vim is speechless with admiration, but Tels tries to hand your reflection a fancy and expensive looking sword through the mirror, and it actually works! He lets go of the sword with a gasp, and it falls into your phase of reality.
When Tels presses his hand against the mirror, it seems to have returned to solid glass.
"Thanks again, Pathfinders," Vim finally finds her voice. "We're going back to the main hall."

Alexandrios Pontiki |

Alexandrios mixes another elixir. "I have some reagents for common elixirs, and if we let the previous ones settle a bit even for those experimental ones. Hmm, there must be something I can use around here... maybe those creatures have interesting organs, and of course there's the kitchen", he starts talking as he looks around, the elixir still in his hand.

Elena stares unapprovingly at Alexandrios as he seems lost in his thoughts, snatches the elixir off his hand, then runs to Jackie and applies it to her.

GM MattMorris |

Like the rest of the building, the conference room is deserted. Sheets of notes litter the table, one of which seems very interesting to Ma'elo.
In Case of Planar Emergency
Reminder! Arcanists from the Grand Lodge have warded the entire grounds with a Material Failsafe ritual in order to contain possible damage from extraplanar anomalies related to the Maze of the Open Road. Triggering the protections of the ritual is a straightforward process, but requires the following focus items:
• A pitcher of water
• A steel shield
• A large lodestone
To achieve maximum ritual potency, bring the focus items as close as possible to the center of any extraplanar disturbance. Grasping the focus item firmly, speak the activation word, “Narven.” To avoid accidental triggering of the ritual, simultaneous activation of all three focus items is required, so please coordinate carefully with fellow staff members.
Focus items may need to be activated as many as three times to firmly re-anchor the area to the Material Plane.
A handwritten scrawl in the margin notes: “I have stored the lodestone in my quarters so it will not be misplaced. ~A.J.”
