My approach
We’re all here to play a game.
It’s a game that the players are expected to win. So it’s more about the style in which you win, and the story we tell along the way.
People enjoy different parts of the game and have different play styles. Let’s try and find a compromise where everyone enjoys themselves. Let me know if the balance isn’t working for you.
Pacing
I'll advance the game at least once per day Sunday to Friday. Real life takes precedence over the game, but if you miss a day then in fairness to everyone else, the game will move on regardless. Gameday has a strict deadline to finish by November 17.
Standard rules
• Try to have fun and leave space for other people to have fun.
• Content should be limited to a 12A / PG-13 rating.
• Expected posting rate is once per weekday and once at the weekend.
• If you can’t post for a while, please let everyone know (or just me if you prefer).
Guidelines
• Try to include descriptions with your skill checks. You can describe an attempted action and then roll, or roll first and then describe the result.
Please fill register on RPG Chronicles, and add your character's details in the Google slides.
I normally use Google slides for the maps, but there are a couple of large ones. Let me know if you'd have a strong preference for Tableplop.

Glancing over the classes that have applied for this mission so far, it's looking like we're potentially running a little low on tech skills for a starship repair mission. Unfortunately, I have only 2 characters in tier ... and though the other one is tech-based, he's spoken for on the Tier 1-2 special.
I have more than enough APs to buy a Tech Support hireling up to Amateur level, but even then it would only be a +5 modifier ... so more useful for aiding than necessarily taking lead on the task.

I've got decent engineering (+7/+9 depending on nanite form), so we should be good for that.
A couple of days until the official start of Gameday, but feel free to introduce your characters in the Gameplay thread.
Gameday begins!
I'll give everyone a chance to introduce their characters before we get started.
From the signups, the APL is 2.5. Do you want to play low or high tier?
M Human
I don't mind trying to play out of tier, and go higher.

High tier is fine for me. Always like getting access to some higher-level equipment.
M Human
Yes. A twchno pregen can be good.
qstor is signed up in the 4th slot. I want to give them a bit more time to join in.
Otherwise, yeah, you'll be free to pick a pregen. Since the consensus is to go high tier, you could go for a level 4 pregen. Or level 1 if you really wanted.
Here are links to the pregen character sheets. People are free to suggest one of the others, but these seem like a good addition to the team:
Quiq (mechanic)
Raia (technomancer)

With Raia we get tech and spellcasting, so that seems to cover our gaps ... aside from healing. Definitely going to stock up on some healing serums.

Raia could be good, envoy would also get us computers +9 and inspiring boost, plus piloting +9.
Now could be a good time for the pregen to step onto the bridge.
Navasi sheet if needed
Both Raia and Navasi have +9 piloting.

Everyone OK w/ Raia then?
M Human
Do you want to nominate someone to control Raia each combat, and cycle it round amongst you?
M Human
I can do it in the upcoming hours, while I play myself. Bibframe.

I just figured whoever gets to it first can do it. Not everyone may be in a position where they can easily view the PDF.
Sure. It's up to you as a group to decide how you want to run the pregen. Rotating just gives everyone a chance, if a bit slower.
I've added a summary of Raia's stats in the campaign links, if that helps.
I'll post again in about 10 hours. I need to use my home computer. ((Ominous music)).
M Human
I understand that feeling where you need a home computer.
I've added a template for what I think is the maximum area for Raia's Dancing Lights:
140 ft. range, but the four lights need to remain within a 10 ft. radius area. Flashlights illuminate a 20 ft. cone.
Feel free to reposition it, or reconfigure, on Raia's turn.
I don't know if Wilson's character info is up to date, but I saw:
Wilson character sheet wrote: Basic/Amateur/Professional Hireling (SLOTTED) - Hireling can make +6 Bluff/Diplomacy/Intimidation checks If there's a hireling back on the ship, they can join the discussion through comms.
All that's left in this adventure is the current talk with Avid Dreamer, and then to suggest what it should do next.
Adventure complete!
Thanks for playing. I'll begin the reporting.
Feel free to make Day Job rolls.

No profession for Bibframe.
