Narciso the Sorcerer |

Narciso lets fly with another magic missile from the wand...
damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Foxy Quickpaw |

Unsurprisingly the magic missile finds its way, but the ogrekin still stands. Which means more beating for Briggi. The big ugly is stubborn and despite the painful reality still believes you will be his ticket to a great reward.
@Briggi
Punch: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 151d3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

Tisha Nerifaren |

Tisha continues to stab away from the back rank.
Spear: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Damage: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Can inee we if you work your way behind it ?

![]() |

"Can try." Ernhild takes a step to the ogre's side, and hammer at it again. EDIT: He just took 27 damage though, so probably he's dead
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Tisha Nerifaren |

Tisha looks into the pit and calls down.
How did you all get down there? Did the ogrekin get you or are there others you have seen in this Warren?

Narciso the Sorcerer |

Darth Narciso pivots to watch the passages we came from. He uses his message spell to whisper harsh counsel to the others "Leave them for now. Having them out will just put them in danger. We can rescue them on the way back, if we survive."

![]() |

"I'm with Briggi on that one - they'll starve to death if we don't succeed. I can escort them back out."
"Do you know where we can find the necromancer?"

Tisha Nerifaren |

We know there are more Derro down here and now we hear there is possibly that necromancer Roth Lamm as well. If we leave them here, who knows what might happen to them. It costs us nothing to escort them back to the surface and may even get us some good will. So I have to agree with the dwarves on this.

"It costs us time! Time in which the derro can figure out that we're raiding them and get organized to fight us ..."

Tisha Nerifaren |

It would be what, five minutes if we just bring them to the entrance stairs and tell them to go up and hide. If they wait for a couple hours so we can make the area safe, then when we emerge we can lead them out of the district when we are ready to head back.
I agree with Narciso, bringing them farther than that is a bad idea. It would allow those down here to get organized.

Narciso the Sorcerer |

"Ok, fine do it your way, but if you get me killed over this, I'm gonna haunt you guys forever..."

![]() |

"I think it's best if we just throw them a rope," Ernhild turns to Briggi. "If they can't climb up, we'll have to pull them out."

Tisha Nerifaren |

Tisha moves back into the maze of hallways and tries to hide behind an outcropping of rock to make sure nobody sneaks up on the group as they get the others out.
You get them out, I have overwatch. she whispers as she puts her spear away and pulls out her Rapier to cover the small passages around her.
Stealth: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Perception to see anything sneaking up on the group: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
I really need to learn how to hide in this darkness.... Hmmm I wonder if anyone ever actually learned how to do it like in the stories. She ponders the old elven Legends of the Shadowdancers.

Tisha Nerifaren |

When Tisha sees the group heading out of the room, she slinks ahead in the dim light trying to make sure nothing is waiting in ambush for the group behind as they make it to the stairs out.
Let me know if you want rolls, right now I’m assuming my last stealth and perception rolls still apply as there isn’t any change in situation.

Narciso the Sorcerer |

Did we search for loot? The ogrekin might have something.
While the others are freeing the prisoners, Narciso searches the prison for anything of interest...
Perception: 1d20 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 4 = 33

While they're getting them out of the pits; I am not staying here by myself while escorting to the exit is going on.

Narciso the Sorcerer |

For those that are disgusted of nothing, or have a strong cleaning detergent, there is a (+1) magical studded leather on the ogrekin.
And Narciso uses Prestigidation (several times over)...
He points to the unexplored passageway (to D11), "That way, it's where we haven't been..."

Foxy Quickpaw |

The nauseating mixture of decay and strange chemicals fills the air of this large room. Glinting saws, pliers, long stitching needles, and other surgical equipment are organized on shelves and benches along the walls. A sturdy wooden table in the center of the room supports a large humanoid shape—a thing stitched together from a patchwork of dozens of different bodies. The thing would stand nearly seven feet tall if it rose. The head stitched to the body is strangely small for its massive frame—a head crowned with brown hair and bearing a distinctive scar upon the left cheek.

Narciso the Sorcerer |

"Gaekhen was supposed to have brown hair and a scar on his cheek; I think that might be Gaekhen's head on that thing..."
He studies the the patchwork humanoid thing carefully (including casting detect magic)...
K Arcana: ID it: 1d20 + 4 + 3 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 3 + 4 + 2 = 18
4 rank +3 trained +4 int +2 bloodline
That's pretty obviously a flesh golem, but I want to know if it's animated yet (that's what the detect magic is for), or is it currently just a pile of stitched together parts ...

![]() |

"Probably." Ernhild scrunches her face. Her work at the infirmary wasn't all sprained ankles, but she's never seen a corpse this grotesque.
She still walks up to the slab to determine if the head is really Gaekhen's - and, most importantly, if other body parts on that thing are his.
Heal: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Narciso the Sorcerer |

As Ernhild moves closer to the slab, Narciso snaps "Wait! That thing might just be animate..."

Tisha Nerifaren |

Damn. Kroft did say that this Rolth Lamm was trying to make some sort of golem from bodies, and that Ogrekin was and prisoners were talking about a Rolth. I think we have some solid evidence he is behind all this. Clearly this is why they chopped up Gaekhen,s body. Tisha whispers as she helps the others search the room and keeps an eye out for an ambush or the Golem moving.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

Narciso the Sorcerer |

Narciso gives Ernhild the go ahead: "Ok, they haven't trapped the animating force in it yet, so it's safe enough...
Then he joins Tisha in searching the chamber.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 + 3 + 2 + 2 + 4 = 30
4 rank +3 trained +2 wis+2 racial+4 alertness(familiar)

![]() |

Ernhild goes back to inspecting the corpse and determining which part(s) could be Gaekhen's.

![]() |

There's little way to go around the problem tastefully without some proper medical equipment and a lot of time. Ernhild takes a step back to let Briggi do his duty.

Narciso the Sorcerer |

Narciso pushes the wheelbarrow forward to give Briggi someplace to put the head. Then he asks "Shall we continue?"
Where next: D10 or D12?

Foxy Quickpaw |

As you enter the next 'room' two derros jump out from under the large four-poster bed this chamber holds. A simple writing desk stands, along with a full-length mirror propped up against one earthen wall. In the passage to a room to the right you see a zombie.

@Foxy, the CL for my evocations is 5, due to my Varisian Tattoo, from the Tattooed Sorcerer archetype, so those CL checks are 1 higher. Did either of them take damage from my spell?
