Lifft has it. With a combination of determination and excitement, two well-aimed shots splatter the last hound over the desert rocks.

Combat over

The portal's crackling falls silent for a moment, leaving only the sound of the rustling night wind and the everlasting darkness of the eternal night on this planet, the burnt-out husk of the brown dwarf star barely visible in the night sky.

Not far from the portal, the group manages to retrieve Envar's data tag, but no sign of Envar himself. The data tag contains a holographics recording:

As long as he is in the right team that can support him and ... erm ... cover any deficiencies, then, in my personal opinion, I believe he'll be okay She paused for a bit. Still, there must be some sort of stress relief ... does he have any hobbies? Forms of relaxation? That sort of thing? I know I do to relieve my stress but I'm fairly sure what works for me may not necessary work for him.

On the way to the next planet, she experiments with lighting to replicate the light, or lack of it, on Nemenar, in order to get the best effect out of her new swimsuit while working on a new dance. She also relaxes in water to relieve her own stress.

Once landed, it's not too hard to get a reading on the approximate data tag coordinates... which looks to be in the caldera of a nearby volcanic island too small and unstable to land a starship on.

Celly moves around several tourist traps, until a disinterested tout hands her a flyer and tells her to Cook off!. It isn't meant as a profanity at all. On the contrary, once she looks at the flyer, it looks like the caldera is home to the weekly 'Grand Caldera Cook-Off', and event that no doubt attracted the likes of Envar.

For starters, contestants are flown in by enercopter and air-dropped over the caldera for a flashy entrance and a chance to show off any acrobatic zero-gravity skills.

Banners reading “The Grand Caldera Cook-Off” in numerous languages flutter over a cauldron-like hollow in the mountain peak forming this island. The bubbling glow of the lava within the hollow illuminates the walkways built atop it, spiraling down to a platform holding four cook stations. As the contestants land on the platform, a grinning summerborn ryphorian standing before a camera gestures exuberantly.

“And here are our contestants! I, Viktaria, will be your host for this culinary journey, and our judges are eager to see what our contestants whip up. So, without further ado… let’s get cooking! Your recipe today is…” They pause for effect.

Our contestant are given these pterosaur wings, hand-prepare the batter and pick out the bones themselves. Do you think they can flash-fry the wings without charring them?

I need a Sleight of Hand check to whisk the batter, which is a precision task. The bones are many and tiny, finding them all requires a perception check

After discovering it's not as easy as she thought, and resolving to get pointers off her tiefling housemate, she then suddenly relises she's also plummeting towards the ground and pulls the ripcord in a burst of anxiety. Tanila and Lifft work on the batter, which is turns out to be surprisingly tricky: it's hard to get the right substance while the ground is trembling with volcanic activity. You're going to need some aid anothers to pull this off
