SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

Can't wait to start! We can discuss character creation and whatnot in Slack. For now I'm looking at these guidelines:
____________________
CHARACTER CREATION

This module has a theme of art and artists. While you'll need to be capable adventurers you probably want to have some kind of connection to the art world, be that as an artist yourself or a tastemaker.

Free Archetype

We'll use a select list of free archetypes:

acrobat
alter ego
celebrity
dandy
folklorist
linguist
vigilante

I'm open to ideas if you have a particular concept in mind too.

Starting Wealth

You start at level 4. 140 gp lump sum per PC, or an item array of 1 level 3 item, 2 level 2 items, 1 level 1 item, and 30 GP. Honestly I think the lump sum is easier but maybe you prefer the other way!

Access

All Uncommon options from sourcebooks are available. Rare, or Uncommon from an AP, check with me first.

PAPERWORK

If you've player with me before you know I have a macros sheet for you to fill out in addition to the normal slides. You can use the macros for your own character profile too.

1. Put your token on the maps & character reference slides.
2. Enter your Perception, default Exploration Activity, and any secret rolls you want me making for you on the macros sheets. There is an example sheet in there too.
3. We'll put up an RPG Chronicles at the end.

Hero Points will be tracked on my spreadsheet to help me remember.

Let me know if you need help with anything.

SoT (Year 4, Sem. 1): Maps & Slides, Handouts, Macros

There's a technology movement happening in Lamasara where you'll be having the bulk of your adventures.

So, let's add Sterling Dynamo and Scrounger to the list of free archetype choices.

Gnolls, catfolk, dwarves, and Garundi humans are common.

I put the gazetteer up in Slack for you.

Male Human Monk/12th, HP 175/175, AC 31/33, Peception +20, Initiative +22, Fort +21, Ref +23, Will +22

Need to catch up on hero points.

1 to Barker for leaning in on bard things, and one to Rhys for sidestepping all the elemental resistances on the wolves, which helped a lot.

Sorry for disappearing; I ended up in the hospital unexpectedly and was in no shape to post. I'm still recovering but doing much better now.

I'll catch up and get a post in shortly.

I am glad to hear you are doing better. I wish I knew, I would have paused the game.

If it helps, the group will pause while you continue recovery. It's important we all stick together and progress through the story in a healthy and mutually respectful manner as a team. Just let me know here or on Slack.

I second what GM said, I hope you feel better soon! I don't mind pausing, especially that begginign of Gameday is brining a bit of chaos ;)

Take all the time you need to get healthy, games are not a priority over that.

No need to pause the game; I'm home and off the good drugs so posting regularly shouldn't be a problem from here on out. Thank you all for understanding!

Sounds good. If that changes and you are comfortable doing so please let me know and we will pause. (Goes for all you knuckleheads!)

FYI, On Friday 9/15 I'm leaving on a trip. I wont be home till 9/26.
The whole time I'll just be on my phone and wont be able to manipulate the map to move my character around. I should have plenty of free time to check in on the game. However, the middle of my trip we will be camping in Sawtooth National Forest in Idaho. I'm not sure if we will have any cell service.

Please feel free to post for Zephrena as needed. She would always try to avoid fighting and killing if she can. But will heft her shield and lay down a beating with her flickmace as needed. Don't forget her Lay on Hands, diplomacy, and intimidation skills. She also speaks several languages that maybe some others don't have.

What program or site do you use to get nice big clean numbers on your tokens?

There is this site with some information about it. I learned it the hard way, when I volountered to help with slides for special a PBP convention ago. I did not know that Doug did it for lower tier. So he had amazingly cool looking tokens with numbers and mine looked like pulled from under hienas tail.

I think he uses Photoshop (I saw gif videoes of him doing it), I tried to replicate it with google slides and grooping but I guess the key part is to move 'face' of the monster to the side so that number fits.

As much fun as Flinging Updraft looks, I went with Clear As Air for the invisibility utility. I'll have his stat block updated tonight.
