I think I had some of that flipped when I was trying to make a map, so when you said "this corridor passes in front of the other door from the foyer," my map had us going east instead of west, so I was very confused :P

I've seen a surprising number of people saying "it's been a busy year!" in the last week...
LOL! For me it's been working on 4th Qtr/YE payroll and 1099s for 2023! January is my busiest month, and that's saying something as an administrator in a tax firm! :)
I was thinking of using Spellburn here to allow Mirinde to pass that check but since she rolled so low. It would basically kill her to do so...still that is an option here as we are in serious trouble here indeed.

Do whatever you need to, but don't let trying to save Degan cost other lives. He is quite frail and something of a liability but hey, those are the breaks in old-school.
I would rather that the 2 rounds to save him (a seemingly generous concession in DCCRPG) not end up hurting the party.
But, again, do whatever you all think best.
I think we'd be a lot worse off without Degan's trap-finding skills.
Would it work for Istevan to grab Degan and drag him from the room?

We're caught between a rock and a hard place, I think. Dragging Degan out of the room puts us back in the chamber with those monsters waiting for us. Let me think for a bit and I'll post an action tonight. We've got a couple rounds to heal him, but I think we need to focus on the bad guys trying to carve us up right now or we're probably ALL going to be rolling up new characters!
Since you know how to avoid triggering the trap that would have prevented you from escaping, you can flee into the previous corridor. The door to the room with the monsters is still closed so the hallway is relatively safe. The giant skull cannot move, but the flying skulls can follow you. (They have AC 16, incidentally, if you’re thinking about burning Luck, Roscoe.)

Oh nice! I didn't realize there was a corridor in between us and the monsters. Yeah, that might be a fine place to regroup! Doors on either end of the hallway leading to near-certain death. The perfect spot!
But yeah, I'm for retreating back to that hallway, death trap or not.
I've begun some intensive training at work this week. I likely will not have as much time to post during this training, which might last up to several weeks. I'll try to keep up with the game as best I can during this time but delays will likely be inevitable.
No worries at all DM, tax season is getting underway and I'm gonna be slower than usual until April 15th!

Gah, sorry for lateness. I'll get something up tonight. Work is crazy (tax office) and I've been sick for the past week and a half to boot. Still working though, unless you're in a hospital bed there's no calling out sick during tax season!
