Prior to any attack roll, declare a Mighty Deed of Arms. This Deed is a dramatic combat maneuver within the scope of the current combat (e.g., disarm, trip, push enemy backward, etc.). The Deed does not increase damage but could have some other combat effect: pushing back an enemy, tripping or entangling him, temporarily blinding him, and so on.
The warrior’s deed die determines the Deed’s success. This is the same die used for the warrior’s attack and damage modifier each round. If the deed die is a 3 or higher, and the attack lands (e.g., the total attack roll exceeds the target’s AC), the Deed succeeds. If the deed die is a 2 or less, or the overall attack fails, the Deed fails as well.

Background & Description
--------------------
The son of impoverished farm labourers, much of Isteván’s childhood was spent escaping his chores by running off into the neighbouring forest, playing, running, wrestling with a pair of orphaned wolf cubs. At 16, Isteván decided that farm life was exceedingly dull (the poverty wasn't terribly endearing either) and, in a fit of pique, left to seek his fortune in the wider world. (A decision he has revisited with some regret in more recent, more mature, years.) When he can, he returns home to visit his aging parents, setting aside money from his adventures to ease their lives as they become less able to work.
Isteván is young, dusky-skinned, sharp-featured, thin, with dark brown eyes, and black hair.
