| Grandmaster TOZ |
Sorry, but I must be a little dumb, that's why I'm a fighter and not a mage. Could you calmly explain in what way you were wronged, so we can see if we can find a peaceful way to amend previous mistakes? Something was taken from your tree, something very precious? Can't we plant more trees?
"Silence, meat! I want my forest back, back the way it always was, unsullied, lush, and without taint. Now that these have ceased their cutting and pulping and carving, it will rise again. Now my tree can heal, heal from the hurt you caused when you stripped her branches, severed her to half her height, and flayed her to half her girth." Another wince of pain spasms across her face. "Know that I feel every cut of your saws, every nail you impale. I feel every ridiculous word you scrape with your irritating quills. From all across Golarion your precious knowledge flows across my skin. While peddlers in Ecanus seem happy to pay for your petty words, I find them all utterly without value.” Grunjar finds the speech too twisting and abstract to glean much useful information among the raving.
Skivven Steelwhiskers
|
"They make paper with trees don't they? And you say you can feel what is done to ALL of Golarion's felled trees, from Avistan to Garund, and all the way to Casmaron? That must be excruciating and I cannot imagine the manner of sadness you must feel. How do you remain sane? Can't the druids of the Wildwood Lodge in the Verduran Forest ease your pain? Perhaps in the same manner they do with their treaty and selective cuttings with Taldor?"
| Klaus the Phantom |
Klaus chuckles.
Heh. She called you 'meat'. That's pretty funny."
Finding it not funny, Inga glares at Klaus.
"Shut up, Klaus. Go help Grunjar take care of Daedin."
Inga Blücher
|
Inga turns to Jathyl.
"What would you like us to do? It might be possible to convince the monks here to abandon this temple and move to the mainland so that the forest can reclaim this area. Does that sound acceptable?"
Daedîn
|
With Grunjar’s help, a still hammered Daedin will retrieve his own wand and alternate healing while the others talk with the creature…
Will take the average 5.5 hp/tap until he’s healed up or otherwise interrupted…
Skivven Steelwhiskers
|
While the group gets ready near the door, Skivven surreptitiously pops open his Eversmoking Bottle and floods the east half of the temple with thick smoke. Smiling, he brings down his Goz Mask over his face and fastens the straps.
Via message spell, a muffled, canny voice is heard in the party's ears:
"Sho? Vee jonna joo ghis shing?"

Skivven moves out through the fog, his rhetorical question in the air...

Pradnyara steps closer to Inga and speaks quietly. "I doubt we will be able to convince the master of that demand. We must deal with this Jathyl somehow."
"That's kind of what I thought." Inga whispers back. "I really can't think of any other ideas..."
Inga hears the sudden pop of a cork and sees a huge cloud of smoke billowing outward."Oh no! What's going on!?!"
"Sho? Vee gonna joo ghis shing?"
"Skivven!" she shouts angrily under her breath, outraged by the ratfolk's actions.

"There must be some way to provoke her..." she begins to say to Inga, but the Pathfinders are distracted by a rumbling beneath their feet!
With the rumbling under her feet, Inga looks over at the paladin with a puzzled look.
"Provoke? How can I provoke this spirit?"She thinks quickly to ascertain what the woman could have meant by "Provoke".
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
I'm at a total loss as to what that would mean. Not sure why we would want to provoke an angry spirit. :/ Hopefully my sense motive check is high enough to figure out what she meant. I need some help, TOZ!
Inga Blücher
|
"Maybe I can calm her down a bit so we can have a civil discussion." Inga thinks to herself.
"Everyone, remain calm and don't make any hostile actions." she says to her teammates.
She closes her eyes and thinks of happy, little clouds over a serene forest clearing with a small pond. She opens her eyes and stares at Jathyl with a calm expression, mentally conveying the thought as she casts calm spirit.

"Huh. Nothing." Inga mumbles under her breath, appearing slightly confused.
"I'll move around and keep scanning, everyone. Just be careful!" she calls out to her teammates.
"Probably just some kind of fancy magic mouth spell." she grumbles.
Grunjar
|
"Моя госпожа Удача, нам нужна ваша помощь!"
Grunjar reacts fast to the possible threat and casts a spell to help the defenses of the party. (Beacon of Luck)
You send out a burst of luck with a 30-foot radius centered around you. While the beacon of luck is in effect, you gain a +2 sacred bonus on all saving throws. As an immediate action before a saving throw is made, allies within the area can choose to benefit from this luck, rolling twice for a saving throw and taking the better result. Once a creature benefits from the beacon of luck in this way, it cannot gain the benefit of this spell for 24 hours.
As long as Pradnyara shows normal behaviour Grunjar thinks of her as an ally.
| Grandmaster TOZ |
Grunjar casts his spell of luck just before the ground erupts in the courtyard, an enormous worm covered in dark purple plates of chitinous armor rising high over the fallen monks. It hisses in rage with an open maw the size of an ox, while a cackling laugh echoes around the yard from somewhere unseen. "By Irori's grace..." "What in the great spirits is that!?!" Inga reels in shock as the great worm bursts from the ground. She tries to recall if she has learned anything about these things in the past.
Know: Arcana: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Lol. Nope. Will post actions soon.
"Yeah... I don't think I've ever heard a bard sing an ode or a sonnet about humongous purple worms."
Inga imagines a swiftly moving stream, her thoughts psychically enhancing her teammates with a burst of speed.
Casting Haste!
"Klaus! Stay with me!” she shouts over the din of the crumbling ground pulled up by the great worm as she tugs at his arm.
Klaus looks up in awe at the massive worm.
"Right. I'm with you, Inga."
Moving along the eastern wall, she unslings the exotic orc hornbow from her back and gets in a spot along the north wall with Klaus at her side.
A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.
All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement.

Estara had been holding back because she didn't want to raise too many questions with the whole 'bust of a thief' comparing to her and that whole socially awkward situation.
And to be honest, given the amount of discussion the rest of the team was having that seemed incredibly counter-productive to her she'd kinda tuned out before getting shaken out of her daze by the shaking of the earth.
Without thinking, really, lightning crackles around her right fist as she sends a blast scorching towards the now-evident worm -- though whether she catches it off-guard or not is anyone's guess.
Electrical Blast (v. Touch AC), Point Blank Shot: 1d20 + 10 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 1 = 28

Regardless of outcome, she ducks behind some pillars to try and make the worm-thing's attack a bit more difficult.

She'd REALLY like to fling the bust at the worm, but given how tough the armor plates are in deflecting other attacks she falls to the standby of more arcing electricity heading at the worm.
