Reflex: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (12) + 12 = 24 Would also have passed a fort safe.
Clearly grossed out, Jim muttered "Nope!" as he hurried away from the swarm.
Glancing at Citi as he passed he said, "I'm afraid you'll have to deal with these, my blade does nothing."
On my phone so roll20 doesn't work, Jim wants to move one move action away. I'll move him this evening when I'm back at my computer.

This black, amorphous blob piles up on itself, a quivering mound of midnight sludge that glistens darkly before surging forward.

I would like to get the rounds to no longer that one per day so if you are not doing anything, please say so.

"Slim" Jim |

Jim wasn't keen to fight a hideous looking black blob, but maybe it would be necessary. He called out, "Anyone know what that thing is?! Will my blade cut it?"

Sir Rhaym . |

As it appears whatever they are dealing with Rhaym would only get in the way he stands back with Thoron and prayers that they will be safe and vanquish these uh... creatures of uh... harmful intent.

The creature moves 5' forward and attacks Faffner:

Princess Jamalla the Wise |

A woman appears on the otherside of the creature. She appears as a vibrant and beautiful young fighting woman with flowing masses of red/gold hair. Her armor looks a lot like George's.
"Well this is a sight. Men standing around and letting their woman doing their fighting for them. " She scowls. "Try using that mace that decorates your belt!
While she draws her own mace and attacks the blob

Is there anything that could be used as an improvised blunt weapon? E.g. rocks, large bones, etc...

Do you have torches? They can be used as a club. This is why all characters should carry a light mace or equivalent. There are torches on the walls in room 23.

I toss you a rod of the viper from my haversack.
Here Jim catch, a princesses work is never done, thanks Jamalla, you honor us with your presence...You should think of this when I have the bags open, I also have another +1 warhammer, but I took the rod for myself!! Also took the 2 glass steel daggers, which are immune to acid.
I am committed to this campaign until completion, 20th level for sure

Sir Rhaym . |

With the information that the liquid like thing could be harmed by blunt weapons Rhaym pulls out his Warhammer as he moves forward scrutinizing the thing as he does so {Detect Evil} to see if there was more to it than just what it appeared to be.

"Slim" Jim |

Jim carefully set his Sabre down and went to grab a torch from the wall in the room he was in and then he moved closer to engage the black pudding!
Depending on where the torches are, this might be more than one rounds worth of actions. Dropping the sabre could be a free action, picking a torch is at least one move action, as is subsequently moving to engage the black pudding.

Black Puddings are very dangerous, but not evil

Dropping the sabre could be a free action, moving to the torches are one move and taking it the other. Moving back to the creature would be next round

This room’s floor is covered with human skeletons and
rotting human corpses (from previous caravans). The smell
will gag those in the room requiring Fortitude save DC18 against nausua. Ciri and Jim have already saved.
Everyone grab a blunt weapon so we don't have to go through this again please!! And maybe some alchemist fire!
And FYI, you are no where near the White Tower.

Princess Jamalla the Wise |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"Paladin, get it up here. You are supposed to be a Knight Errant but you act as a coward. You will lead from the front or lose your paladin powers.
Cleric, that mace of yours is not a pretty decoration. You were given tools to aid you in battle, not to stand back and watch others do your figthing for you! Do so or I will remove them from you."
She heals the partys wounds before leaving with a scowl.

brvheart |

Thoron notices what appear to be secret doors along the north wall.

Sir Rhaym . |

"Look I do not mean any disrespect to you but I was in the back due to other individuals like you saying I was not welcome here and I did not want to hinder the group from their mission by inserting myself and causing retaliation to the entire group.
Now this did seem to occur and as such I retreated from the area, however then that persepective changed as if this were actually sacred ground as I was led to believe then the others would not be fighting things and therefore I returned, making me believe even more that those previous beings that were supposed to be good were the ones that should actually have their honor put into question.
Now chastising me for not being omnipotent and those other such beings as yourself acting suspiciously and without honor and making statements that are misleading is not my fault. So I will not take the blame for their transgressions as that was outside my control. Further your calling me a coward is extremely rude and equally wrong and you should apologise.
Now if you wish, and have the right to strip my paladin powers from me for actually being a quality paladin, then so be it. However, that will not change who I am nor what I stand for, it will simply greatly hinder my ability to do what it is I have been called to do.
Now if my diety were to choose to allow me to understand each situation with complete clarity then I am sure there would be no issues at all but this is not the case. I have to function with what I have, as lacking as it is, and with what I know, which is equally lacking, and pray that what I do is the best for the situation at hand."
OCC: Does Rhaym even know who this person is? I mean the others seem to know her but I the player was not here earlier so I am not even sure if Rhaym knows her. However, due to the responses from the others I am assuming Rhaym is at least familiar with her.

brvheart |

Princess Jamalla the Wise, Holy of Holies, Mother of the
Masses, Benefactress of the Poor, and Mitra’s Handmaiden.
She is a Lion of Mitra and mother superior. She is attached to the belt of Mitra. With George being in and out, Sir Rhaym should be aware of the Lions of Mitra. They are avatars for Mitra.

Ciri Princess of Cintra |

cast share memory and touch sir rhyme transfering my complete understanding of the maps, my intelligence, wisdom and charisma into your mind, you remember where the white tower is, you know this map leads to Mitra's tomb and other tombs and the heart of the law, you understand it all now!!! I tweak your personality a bit as well, giving you memories of confidence, bravery, protection and commanding leadership. You remember my deceased brother who died to save the kingdom, you remembering being in wars, comrades, and the need to help.

Sir Rhaym . |

OCC: Well thank you for that Ciri but I the player do not fully comprehend how that would change Rhaym's current position. He has been accused of being a coward by this Mother of the Masses when she should obviously know that he has not in any way been such a thing. As she should be fully aware of his actions as well as his intentions but seems not to be so.
Rhaym is filled with understanding and knowledge that he previously did not have or simply did not remember. Of that, what he could understand and interlize he did, thus making him feel even stronger in his current righteousness in the face of the wrongful condemnation by the Mother of the Masses and he stands firmly looking at her in his more complete understanding of his current position and her wrongful, for whatever reason, condemnation of his recent actions. He simply turns his head slightly in Ciri's direction and says, "Thank you princess for that gift, and I feel for your loss and thank you that you would share that with me. Perhaps I might fill the missing shoes of your brother and stand by you as needed when needed as I have already been trying to do."
OCC: As a player I appreciate what the player of Ciri is doing but I puzzle over the seemingly constant condemnation by the dm to their players, not just me but all the players. Condemning the player's characters in-game to me is a woefully wrong thing to do especially considering that nearly all role players have or had some issues with self-esteem which is what interested them (knowingly or unknowingly) in role playing games to begin with (understand the psychology of roleplayers). Further constantly degrading the characters and thus their players is not a good way to make the game enjoyable for them and will lead (or already has led) to folks deciding to depart the game rather than continue to suffer the indirect abuse being put forth by the person that should be the most interested in keeping this game alive, the one that is running it. I would remind said person that there is no game without players and that players usually out number the one running the game on at least a two to one basis making the players at least twice as important to the game as the single person running it. I seriously hope this reminder helps this game in some way.

Thoron points out two secret doors. Does the rogue wish to check them out?

Ciri Princess of Cintra |

Okay, but we will have to do something about training and equipping you, can't have you running around in your civvies.
I open the secret door he found on the right and looking in.
Seems Jamalla transported him out of the dungeon.
