The common room is large and rectangular. It has a very ancient look to it, with plank floors and aged wooden beams overhead. The space is dominated by a pair of flagstone fireplaces, one at each end, and the space is lit by illumination given off by scattered, glowing fluted pillars. Heavy oak chairs accompany its tables, which surround the bar in sizes both large and small, while long tables and booths lining the walls of the room.

An eerie blue mist fills the air of the common room. It's sweet-smelling and impeds all forms of vision, making its far sides always hazy and indistinct. As a result, one can never see the entirety of the common room at any one time and precise mapping of it is impossible.

Situated in the middle of the common room is a large bar, which has a wide shaft of light shining directly above it. In the center of the bar is a massive pillar, lined with shelves holding the establishment's many libations. Stools surround this bar that are variously described as being round, square, or octagonal in shape. Behind the bar is a concealed door to the beer and wine cellar, which some believed was another plane entirely—namely the wine cellar of some deity of alcohol.

Within one of the corners of the common room is a spiral staircase that leads up to a balcony, a sort of partial second floor that looked over the first. There are no windows anywhere on both floors of the common room. Other spaces within the common room include a pair of coatrooms in front of the main entrance and a massive brawling pit.

As each of you enter, you're greeted by the eternally smiling and ever cheerful barkeep."Welcome traveler! I’m Mitchifer, and the World Serpent Inn is here to serve. My bar is fully stocked with the most exotic ales and liquors from across the multiverse, and the kitchen serves only the finest foods available. Rooms are available to rent if you need to relax as well. Take a seat anywhere and one of the servers will attend to you shortly. A few rules of note – don’t go through doors here unless you’re prepared for what’s on the other side, don’t pick fights unless you can finish them, and if you cause any damage, you’ll have to answer to the Owner. Enjoy your stay!" He appears as a large pale-faced human male, with chubby cheeks and a rotund girth. His shock of white hair growing as a beard doesn’t extend beyond his cheek, leaving his head smooth and bald, and his eyes twinkle like obsidian shards in a glassy field. He's dressed simply in a tan apron, brown shirt and trousers, all of which seems impervious to any stain.

Mitchifer speaks in the distance to a newcomer into the inn and it perks up Britta's interest. She had learned quite quickly that there were all manner of races in here, and all manner of mentalities. It wasn't as dangerous as a cantina on the Outer Rim, but it was twice as odd. One never knows what they will see, so when Mitchifer speaks, she livens from where she sits and looks toward whoever it is.

The youthful officer of the First Order sits in peace at a public table (free to be joined) with many seats, a small bowl of soup in front of her, and a plate of fruit. She has silky brown hair and dark pupils that are more likely brown than black. One could guess she is human by appearance, but you never know in the WSI for sure. To those who emerge from the mist can see she is exceedingly pretty, graceful even as she nonchalantly stirs her soup, and seems to have a keen eye on those around her for any sort of entertainment. In particular, at the moment, her eyes seem to track the serpent wenches for an opportunity to order once more.

Appearance:
To those of medieval backgrounds: Her outfit is a mix of reds, blacks, with surely a fake suit of white armor laid overtop. It looks like as if an armorsmith jokingly made the thinnest plate of white bone? armor with little protection to her extremities or other vital areas. What its purpose is can only be guessed at. It certainly is not made of metal and the closer you look, it is not bone. It looks like it is made of slag or some discarded material and not suitable for a strike from a sword by any means. Perhaps it is a strange form of parade armor? There are strange magical lights surging on and off at seemingly random moments with subtle reds from what look like little glass gems. To those with the sight of magic, she is surrounded by a magical defense field that would probably offer more protection than her clothing. On the subject of weaponry, at her side are odd-looking kunai upon her belt and a strange object, blocky in shape.

To those of semi-futuristic/futuristic backgrounds: Her outfit is a mix of reds and blacks, and she possesses some form of body suit that is likely projectile and tear-resistant given the unique fiber look it is made of. The composite material forming the white "armor" upon her chestplate is light and not true armor, but perhaps has some resistance to deadly indirect energy shots of kinetic lasers. It also may have some bodily regulation features from the indicating flashing buttons that match her vitals. She is perhaps surrounded by a personal shield system, but how it is generated is unseen. Given the vents upon the rear of her armor, it can be guessed she has some form of jetpack system available to her. At her waist are three kunai made of an alien-like composite material and one that looks odd as though it is missing its blade. Perhaps it is an energy weapon? There is also a type of a gun on her hip. Perhaps an energy pistol of some kind given its shape.

A four-tailed fox sits at one of the tables, perched on an extra-tall stool that puts her head comfortably above the level of the table. A spread of food which would be sufficient for a full-grown man is laid out before her, save for one chicken drumstick which is floating in front of her snout. The fox daintily takes a bite of meat from the bobbing drumstick, looking for all the world like she's completely ignoring all that goes on around her... save for the constant swiveling of her ears as she listens in on different conversations.

Well, it looks like Josten will be the POV character for this introduction.

The First Order operative sees an humanoid stepping in from the light outside. Whoever he is, he's huge! At least 6 and a half feet tall. The mists temporarily mask his features, but soon they dissipate..a Vision!
Perhaps the most handsome man Britta has ever seen. Flawless pale skin. Long crimson hair runs down his broad shoulders like wine being poured from a bottle. A bone structure so symmetric I could only be designed by a computer. Or a God. This individual almost possesses a luminous quality as the fluted pillars highlighted his stark features. Upon being greeted by the barkeep, the stranger's face split in a big perfect grin; his teeth nearly shined through the gloom.

"Thank you very much, Master Mitchifer!" The newcomer said in a sexy voice, and gave a half bow to the old man.

The newcomer then grasped one of the two necklaces he wore. A silver one, with the symbol of a tankard, up to his lips and whispered to it. "Dad! I found it!!"

Letting the symbol go, the young man approaches the bar and offers his and to Mitchifer. "I'd like to start out with an honey ale, please?"

Appearance:
His outfit is quite simple, but sewn with a Master's needle, and impeccably clean. He wore sturdy boots, with brown leather pants, a sword belt that had a longsword scabbard attached with a golden sword handle, and where a tall copper tankard hung from his belt.
He also wore a white linen shirt, gloves, and a cloak. Near his neckline you could see very fine silvery chainmail sticking out underneath the collar. Above his neckline hung two necklaces; one appeared gold with the symbol of a songbird, and one silver with the symbol of a tankard. A medium-sized bag hung from his shoulders, and a bandolier with multiple pockets crossed his broad chest. His left wrist was adorned with a golden bracelet. All of this hid what had to be a very muscular body.

Those with detect magic could see the some items in his bandolier, the copper tankard, the bracelet, the bag, the sword, and the silver undershirt glows with magic.

Britta has never seen a fox, at least not in person. She's seen the crystal foxes of Cralt, though it is said they are more crystal to touch than anything. This fox looks FLUFFY. It had always been in her wheelhouse to command the force since her younger years, so to see another being do so easily just to eat has just fascinated her. However, she doesn't stare at the being more than any other that comes into the fog.

The tall man's appearance sort of stuns her. She certainly has a myriad of thoughts run through her mind all at once, among them is:

"What an odd thing to have on one's belt. A cup? Of all the things I've seen in my galaxy..."

Regardless of what she thinks of his strange clothing, his handsomeness, or his odd equipment, she is used to people of oddness in her own realm. What overcomes those thoughts eventually is:

"How can you ever get your business up and running if you do not step out?"

"You are welcome to join here, once you have your honey ale, if you wish?"

Strangely, her accent is much like his in a way, and it is clear she is not mocking him. Her openness and awkward energy as she sits up at attention, with shoulders back, are authentic. She almost seems like someone you could see be called sexy just as easily as you could "darling", like she could do no wrong but at the same time, warning bells might be ringing. Regardless, she is approachable.

The newcomer jerked his head in response to the sudden summons. He released an easy smile to find a lovely lady asking for his company.

Goodness! She's beautiful enough to be one of Mother's adherents, the newcomer thought to himself.

The red-haired man quickly put his copper tankard on the bar where Mitchifer quickly took it and filled it to the brim. Turning back to the barkeep, the newcomer quietly thanked Mitchifer and nudged his head toward the woman's table to indicate his plotted course.

Carefully walking over, the tall warrior spoke. "I can drink and talk at the same time if that's alright with you, miss." As the tall stranger walked over, he glanced over to see a multi-tailed fox. The newcomer smiled at the fox, bringing to mind some of his vulpinal friends back in Nirvana, and gave the fox a nod of greeting.

The red-haired man took an open seat next to the woman in the strange white armor and sat down, carefully setting down his drink before him. The newcomer looked human enough as the woman could see him much closer, but his otherworldly handsomeness seemed to infer a near-human.

"Good day, miss. I assume it's daytime here. My name is Josten Cailean." The newcomer offered his perfectly manicured handshake to the lady. It was an informal and friendly gesture.

"A welcome? They're warmer words than I've heard in several moons."

A tall man, rivaling that of the much more beautiful and noticeable specimen that had seemed to catch everyone's attention, spoke. His attire was simple cloth, having only the adornment of a single copper amulet around his neck. He was not ugly, merely average. What stood out about him were his rather large muscles. Well fitting clothes showed off bulging arms, legs as thick as tree trunks and perfectly chiseled abdomen.

"Just some water for me. Much thanks." He calls to a server. Everything about him is plain, even the drink he orders.

"A nod to a fox? Perhaps I'm out of place? He knows something I don't? Surely it must be intelligent to be in here. Worthy of a greeting?"

He offers his hand and she has a moment of hesitation.

"One can't assume much about this place. It's an enigma to me, anyway." She offers her hand hesitantly, like one who knows of handshakes, but is not accustomed to them personally. "My name is Officer Karan. You may call me Britta." Her own hands are rough from years of fighting, and though pretty and shapely, they do not have the perfection of this newcomer.

She glances to Aleksandros as Mitchifer greets him as well. She then looks back to Josten and asks, "Is he one of your people? I see a resemblance."

Now that her soup is of temperature, while he drinks and speaks, she will begin to enjoy the greasy concoction. After a few bites, she will reach into the pouch on her side and pull out a tiny glass jar and sprinkle something like seasoning into the soup.

One note for players...Britta has a continuous discern lies ability for those she's speaking to. So she'll be able to uncover unintentional inaccuracies or can reveal evasions, but not know what you are lying about (WILLDC20 negates if you feel like rolling). For those with detect magic, she also reads as having a magical aura that is of sorcerous origin (Spellcraft DC19).

Silvertail takes another bite and then waves two tails at the newly entered beings. The tip of one tail glints silver in the misty light of the common room, while the other has plain white fur at its tip.

She sniffs slightly at the air. Did the scent get a bit stronger when these two entered? It was so hard to tell in here... with how strongly the air was laced with the scent of the divine already, she hadn't been able to clearly identify any individual being as a clear possibility. But it seemed likely at least one of these two had some hint of divine blood, from their appearances if nothing else.

The four-tailed fox continues feigning disinterest in the conversation even her ears twist to listen in more closely to the gathering group. Hunger gnaws at her, even as she continues to eat her large meal--the hunger she hasn't been able to fill for a very long time. But the ordinary food here is very good, so a full belly does help her cope a bit, which might be wise before engaging in conversation. It wouldn't do to show her teeth too early.

"As you can tell, the World serpent Inn is no ordinary place to rest your head. There are many unique things about this place. Is this your first time inside?" she asks Josten, attentive to the roving eyes of the other godling if he wishes to join them. While Josten may have come because of her beauty, she is more interested in making sales.

Every so often, as you eat, the mists clear or part a bit, revealing others around the common room.

At one table, you see a huge rat, with an oversized exposed brain. It is obviously quite intelligent, as it surveys the room.

Elsewhere is a muscular giant with crimson skin, smoldering eyes, and small black horns. Smoke rises in curls from its flesh. In one hand is a fist of chains, which if followed lead to the necks of several sinister humanoids which resemble horned, winged demons which appear to be carved from dark grey stone. A creature whose upper torso is that of a comely woman with cat's eyes and sharp fangs. Her lower body is that of a lion. A trio of bald, long-bearded dwarves that have dull gray skin, low arching brows, and eyes that seem to absorb rather than reflect the light. Finally, the giant is flanked by a pair of heavily armored human skeletons that stand in battle-ready poses, their weapons held high as cold blue light shines in their eye sockets.

The fiery creature occasionally berates a serpent sever that passses by, seemingly for no other reason than out of sheer cruelty. For the most part the diminutive waitresses ignore the hateful insults and mean comments, but every so often, one of them is visibly bothered.

Lastly, at a large table is a group of animalistic, beastial beings: A fierce bird-man with great feathered wings. A finely dressed man with a gray-muzzled raccoon’s head and beady, darting eyes. An iguana-headed scholar wearing a robe of frills and scales covered in baubles and trinkets. A black cat with gray stripes, violet eyes, and an unusual white blaze on its chest. The quartet are playing a rather intense game of cards.

Such unusual creatures, Aleksandros thought as he surveyed other parts of the room. He watched warily the demonic beings, but not for long as many others equally strange caught his attention. It will take a while longer to get used to this... universal tavern...

"Creatures all so different, surely it is a matter of time before differences cause a scene." He said mostly to himself.

"Waitress," he calls to the one being harassed. "A bowl of soup if you please. And do tell, who is that creature that seems to dislike you so?"

Josten takes a long, healthy drink of his honey ale. "Ahh. Yes. First time here. I've heard the legends of this place. I was never sure I'd ever find it. And to be fair. I wasn't actually actively trying." The red-haired man sighed. "I was trying to follow directions to one of my father's old water holes in a town called Lubbertown, but got lost. Went through the wrong door. Or the right door", Josten says as he looks back at the door the came in.
Despite all that has happened to him, the big warrior doesn't appear to be fazed by his circumstances.

She gestures to the door.

"With such a unique place, you may find many people coming in that same door, but from different locations. I haven't gotten it down yet, but some people in here have helped me find some stable doorways that reopen to this in. Some do not. I'd be careful. If you are trying to return to your home, I can't ensure that the door you came in will lead there." She now gestures to the other godling. "You were probably right. He wasn't behind you. He came from another galaxy, or universe...or dimension," she mutters ominously. Clearly such ideals are odd to this one.

"Parade armor? I feel I don't understand your question. Maybe you are talking about dress uniforms? It is less about being armor and more about benefiting my physical wellness. It is a uniform of my office though...technically. Each one of the uniforms my unit wears can be different, as we are not affiliated with the general soldiers, called Stormtroopers. In my unit, they encouraged individuality and brutality along with it."

Silvertail's ears and eyes wander from the small group of roughly human-ish people to the others nearby for a moment. She meets gazes with the rat briefly--she's pretty sure that's not like her own change, what the rat-thing is, but perhaps it wasn't born that way--before briefly skimming over the cruel being of fire. She flicks her ears in annoyance at its casual meanness, idly thinking of ways she could steal its mind, before dismissing the thoughts and moving on.

The animal-ish group playing cards amuses her for a moment, more than the scattered other creatures. Even if she hadn't witnessed gods and titans fighting and seen the beings left in their wake, a week here in the Inn had been more than enough to render such sights ordinary.

Finally she decides that her play-acting is getting tiring. A slight wave of her tail sends the now mostly meatless drumstick to her table before she looks over at the group that had caught her interest. Small silver earrings with ruby chips in the tips of her ears catch a hint of light as she turns her head.

Josten shrugged once more. "You take your chances the minute you step out your front door."

The four-tailed fox nimbly leaps off her stool onto... no, above the floor. She walks towards the three humanoids, her paws floating a couple of inches in the air. As she nears, it's clear she has a number of pieces of jewelry, all made of silver with small rubies--anklets, a circlet, earrings, and a necklace.

"Staying inside can be a risk, too. At least once I nearly died in my den thanks to something completely unrelated to me," she comments. "All told, I generally find it more comfortable to watch trouble than be in it, but here I am anyway." She flicks her silver-tipped tail.

Forgot to post this the other day. You can make the following knowledge checks about the others:

Arcana(rat), Nature(winged creatures), Planes(fiery guy), Nature(lion lady), Religion(skeletons), Local(bald guys), Planes(card players).

"What is this term you use? Plane? Material plane. Astral Plane. Ooze Plane. I keep hearing that. We don't have these planes where I am from. Can you explain?"

She feels primitive in how these beings seem to know some hidden information that she doesn't.

When the fox-like creature approaches their table with the other godling heading on his way to the arena, she thinks:

"Is its voice feminine? I can't be sure. He called it a lady too."

Oddly enough, she nods her head in greeting to the fox sorceress if she does join them.

"Why stop there? You may as well invite over your potential distant cousin. Although he seems more interested in the arena than conversation."

"I am Silvertail," the fox says, waving her namesake tail behind her. Her voice does sound feminine, and surprisingly human, with perhaps an edge of haughtiness--the sort of voice you'd expect from a well-dressed noblewoman.

"As for planes, well, you're probably on one. At least I'd guess the Inn is a plane of it's own. Think of planes as... worlds. Dimensions, maybe? Though what do I know, I'm a fox after all."

She flicks a couple of her tails dismissively, while giving Britta a bit of an 'innocent' grin. "So what sort of plane are you from, that you've not heard of them before? Usually beings who end up here have at least that much knowledge--even me."

"Are you? I've never seen a fox like you." she thinks. As she is lectured, she begins to try to piece together what Silvertail must mean.

"The term. The term is odd to me. Let's see. We have many worlds, solar systems, and suns with great and strange phenomena in between, so I don't think that's what you mean. As for dimensions...that's confusing as well..."

"The only thing that I can think that would facilitate these terms would be a technology called hyperspace, where we travel at impossible speeds through hyperlanes...um...roads in space that span our galaxy...," she explains, "...where we travel faster than the speed of light. We do this in large ships that carry us in space from one point in our galaxy to another. I am no expert, but I believe it is done through molecular displacement and that displacement manipulates space and time. This allows us to achieve these impressive speeds. One could say these hyperlanes use a "folding" or alternate reality to what we are in normally. Is that what you mean? Like a fantasy? Like another existence? There is nothing like this that I know of in our galaxy except in our dreams or make believe."

"To me, this looks like an old run-down building on the outer rim where materials are scarce. A "plane"...maybe it's just outside of my understanding? One moment I was in space, and the next I saw a door floating there. My systems read that there was breathable air near it, so I stopped my ship, got out and found a surface to walk on. It was then I walked to and opened the door. That was when I first arrived here. I just assumed this was a poorly built space station that was cloaked in stealth at first. Now I am thinking otherwise."

Knowledge results for Josten:

The rat is a Cranium Rat which means that there is likely many more nearby. What could such an odd critter be doing in an inn like the World Serpent?

The winged creatures are Gargoyles, though your keen eyes, and knowledge of the planes informs you they are some form of fiendish gargoyle.

The big fiery being is a Malik Efreet, aka a Noble among their kind. You don't know too much about him, but you do know he is the son of the current Sultan of the City of Brass, Marrake al-Sidan al Hariq ben Lazan.

The lion lady is a lamia, and while she is not a Matriarch, you can sense she is more powerful than an average member of her species.

The skeleton guards are Skeleton Champions, mighty undead warriors often in service to some form of royalty.

The trio of bald guys are Duergar, aka dark dwarves. Many of them are thought(ha!) to possess great mental powers.

As you observe the group around Apaosha, and owing to your divine father, you can tell they are all slaves of the Efreet. Each of them has a long, silvery chain attached to a dark metal collar around their necks. The genie holds the other ends in one of his large fists.

Finally, the group playing cards are all Agathions, specifically an Avoral, a Procyal, a Reptial, and a Silvanshee. You get the feeling they are all somewhat more capable than many you have encountered.

Britta knowledge:

These are Duergar, aka dark dwarves. Many of them are thought(ha!) to possess great mental powers. You know for a fact that all three of them are indeed psionic, beyond the norm for their race. Your confirmation of them being psionic is due to the natural 20.

Aleksandros knowledge:

The skeleton guards are Skeleton Champions, mighty undead warriors often in service to some form of royalty. You can tell both of them are far more powerful than their standard 'cousins'. It would appear they are of the Dread variety, able to control their more simple brethren.

Josten listens to Britta's discourse on spaceship travel, taking another large drink from his tankard. "Oh! That's interesting. It's like a nuanced form of teleportation; but by hobbling instantaneousness, you achieve greater range. All done by technology! Impressive!" The gorgeous man smiles as he raises his tankard to the officer.

"Well, allow me to give my first impressions of those around us, to someone new to the planes."

Nodding over to the brainy rat, Josten begins. "That is called a cranium rat. Like their common cousins, if you see one, there are likely twenty nearby you can't see. They are often dangerous, especially in large dens. The Inn seems to offer a neutral space, but still be on your guard."

"The stony winged creatures are known as gargoyles. They have a innate ability to remain motionless, allowing them to blend into nearby statuary. Dangerous in urban or wild areas. These ones look like they may have a fiendish taint to them."

"Judging from the chains around their neck, they are slaves to the large fiery gentlemen is a fire genie, called an efreet." As Josten spoke of slaves, the large man's features darkened slightly in contempt. "and that particular efreet is a prince to the current Sultan of the City of Brass, Marrake al-Sidan al Hariq ben Lazan. If you are looking to make powerful contacts, few are more connected that he. But be cautious, the efreet prize beauty in their slaves, so you and Silvertail may wish to use a mediary to beg an audience."

"The lady that is half-lion is called a lamia. Tales say that the original queen of the lamia had an affair with Zeus, King of the Olympian Gods. Hera, Zeus's wife, cursed the original lamia by taking her children away. Most likely killed them. Since then, all lamia have hated anything to do with Gods." Josten looks inquisitively at the comely beastwoman. "Still. I might try to be friendly and introduce myself later."

"The walking skeletons are no doubt skeleton champions, elite undead warrior. And no doubt protecting the prince as he partakes of the cuisine."

"The bald gents are duergar", Josten sighed with resignation. "Another slaver race of dwarves that live deep underground, and have formidable mental powers."

"And finally, to end on a good note, those four animalistic beings over there playing their game are agathions, celestial caretakers and protectors of Nirvana. Fellow countrymen, really. I think I'll go over and say hello after getting a refill." Josten ends by finishing the contents of his copper tankard. "I hope you see you all later. Cheers."

The red-haired man gets up from the table, and walks back over to the bar for another honey ale. As he crosses the inn, if Josten catches Apaosha's eye, the godling gives a traditional efreet salute by touching his two fingertips on his right hand to his temple and slightly bows his head at the prince. If the lamia notices Josten movements, he shoots her a flirty wink.

Josten, just an FYI, the Gargoyles, Lamia, Duergar, and Skeleton Champions are *all* enslaved to Apaosha. I made that post at almost 6am, so I'm not sure if that's clear or not.

"Well explained, except I didn't know half of the words he used. He doesn't put things in a manner easily understood," she thinks to herself.

When he gets up to head to the bar, she nods a farewell. At least a contact was made. Whether it will be a lasting one, she isn't sure.

The efreet, or Devarionian to her, appeals to her, but she isn't quite sure what the godling meant by desiring to use a mediary. From her own sight, she can see that the duergar are formidable in the mind. She can almost reach out with her powers and feel it somehow.

Instead of worrying about these, she looks to Silvertail and asks a question:

"What are your people called? Are you a fox?"

Female magical fox Eldritch Godling/Incanter 8 | HP 66/80 | AC: 21 T: 15 Fl: 17 | CMB: +2 CMD: 19 | F +10 R +10 W +14 | Init +4 | Perc: +21 | 1st level 6/6 | 2nd level 4/6 | 3rd level 5/5 | 4th level 3/3 | Spell Points 6/14 | Magical Tail spell points 3/3

Silvertail's gaze snaps to Aleksandros when he mentions he's the son of a god. I knew the scent got stronger when he walked in! The question is, is he the only one... and what do I do about it? I'm certainly not going to just attack him, even if it were safe to do so. Hmm... he does seem the type to get in a fight on his own, though. If I just follow him around...

She realizes Britta had asked her a question. Taking a moment to recall what she'd asked, Silvertail replies, "I am a fox, yes, but I've never met another fox like me. To call myself 'highly unusual' would be an understatement, in fact."

She floats an inch higher and spreads out her tails, gaze wandering back towards Aleksandros. "I take it there aren't foxes where you come from? Every other fox I'm aware of has only one tail, no capability to speak, not to mention not enough mental capacity to understand what speaking is. Add to that my other abilities, and, well," she raises her snout proudly, "It starts getting hard to compare other foxes to me."

It is odd that there is only one being like the fox in her knowledge. "No parents? How strange. Did she just...form herself like a starweird?"

For some reason, the other large humanoid seems to interest the fox, catching her eye. Well, at the same time, the efreet interests her. Her eyes trail to his table every once in a while.

I would like to know if it would be possible to walk past this table and be within 10ft of the efreet without bumping into the guards or making it seem unnatural? If it's a possibility, Britta may do so eventually to detect whether he carries poisons on him.

"Yes, most species of fox are of the type you describe, and nothing like you. Sure, there are some unique ones on some worlds in my galaxy, but I can't say that your kind don't exist either. I haven't seen them. Most foxes I know of are animalistic, though some show a strong sense of intelligence on some planets. Nothing like what you demonstrate."

"You also seem to have untold powers, like me."

She will lift her spoon with The Force, manipulating it as the fox was doing earlier.

"Well, most foxes haven't experienced the things that made me like I am today," Silvertail responds. "As for powers? I have a few of those, too."

She doubts the fox would ever use poison itself. It doesn't even seemingly use weaponry, but perhaps she knows someone who would want some?

"In fact, I mean to make and sell them here. I've had some mild interest and made some sales."

Liberty's Edge

Stepping through the door, out of the large chamber of lush greenery, into what appeared to be some sort of saloon, took Eldlen by surprise. The ceiling and walls in the other room had been made of wood, but it had been warped and twisted in places giving it an unsettling natural look. Here, the floors and beams were aged wood, but there were also flagstone fireplaces, tables and chairs and a bar. He stepped out of the doorway, making room for the fey servant that was passing through. Moving quickly to the wall he dismissed his shadowed armor and reaching to his frazzled gray felt floppy hat considered using it to appear 'human'. But realizing the servers were fey and the customers were multiple different types of humanoid, he decided to save the disguise for an emergency. Instead he shifted his rucksack off of his shoulder, partially to obscure the shotgun butt sticking out of the top and partially to be able to stay nearer the wall. He moved along the wall towards the nearest corner; which happened to have a spiral staircase leading up to a balcony.

Stopping near the spiral staircase he took a moment to observe the room. Strangely enough, an eerie blue mist filled the air and prevented him from seeing the far wall of the room. Pausing he noticed the heavy set bald bartender as he called out to someone entering from what appeared to be the main entrance. Hearing 'Mitchifer's' greeting, Eldlen pauses as he considered what the man had said. He was no longer in the Feywild, but in someplace called 'The World Serpent Inn.' Shaking his head he wondered if he'd passed from the Plane of Faerie into another alternate earth. Normally the doorways opened up through a stone or tree like the one back in the large chamber; but a wooded doorway and into a tavern? Switching his rucksack from his left hand to his right, he tugged on the collar of his dark grey great coat, trying to make sure the 'cape' hid as much of his transparent dragonfly-like wings as was possible.

Stepping away from the wall, he considered approaching the bar and having the bartender hold his weapons. But looking over at a nearby table he noticed a black-horned, crimsoned-skinned giant holding the chains of several creatures, three of which appeared to be Duergar. If this tavern permitted slavers, then they’d have to understand why Eldlen, a half-drow, would keep his weapons. Making sure to give the 'slaver' a wide berth, Eldlen moved back to the wall and towards the next corner. Passing a very interesting game of cards, he made a mental note to come back after he'd earned a little of the local’s money.

Movement across the room caught his eye, someone’s pet Fox had spread its tails. Blinking Eldlen looked again, his eyes weren't lying to him in the blue mist, the fox had three, no four tails. And it was floating. Just as Eldlen was trying to wrap his mind around the floating fox, the creature disappeared and teleported to the other side of a very attractive woman wearing white armor trimmed in red. The armor looked rather odd, but so did his. It appeared that there were insignias on the red cloak, but he didn’t recognize them. Watching the fox and woman for a moment, it appeared the fox was actually talking to the woman. Perhaps the fox was a Kitsune.

Shifting his gaze from the woman and fox to the two men seated with them Eldlen paused. Both men were very tall, but the similarities ended there. The first, having Long crimson hair, wearing a white linen shirt, gloves, and a cloak and carrying a golden hilted sword. Eldlen wondered if the sword was for use or for show as he looked more carefully at the tall bald man. This one stood out, though seemingly unarmed, his bulging arms, legs as thick as tree trunks and perfectly chiseled abdomen made him appear more dangerous than the pretty redhead with his golden sword.

Curious about the armored woman and her pet fox, Eldlen found a table near the wall where he could watch the group while keeping an eye on the slaver and the door. Pulling out the heavy oak chair, he placed it beside the table with it’s back against the wall. Setting his rucksack beside the chair, he took off his dark gray duster and tossed it across the back of the chair. Sitting down he checked the time on his watch then tucked it back into the pocket of the maroon double-breasted vest. Rolling up the sleeves of his light gray shirt he reached into his rucksacks main pouch and pulled out his spruce guitar. Taking a moment to tune the guitar, he took off his flop hat and dropped it on the floor. Moving the hat with the toe of his boot so it was slightly in front of him, but not in the way of passerbyers, he then began to play.

I will work on getting a physical description on his page, but imagine a thin light skinned Drow with gossamer wings in a cowboy hat, duster and boots; dressed in various shades of gray and a dark maroon vest. The visible weapons are a belt knife and the butt of a shotgun sticking out of his worn ruck sack.

Silvertail's gaze wanders back to Aleksandros as she replies to Britta. "Well, when *everyone* is some kind of unusual, it's hard to say what's common. I'm sure there are plenty here who appreciate some alchemy."

Her ears swivel as someone starts playing some sort of instrument. It wasn't that unusual here, from what she'd seen over the past week, but it was always interesting to listen to what different worlds' ideas of music were like.

"Alchemy. I suppose you could call it that. I had never thought of referring it to such a word though." She looks to the fox as it looks over at the musician. It is her chance to study its fur intently. The creature looks soft. Pettable. Before Silvertail looks back, Britta joins in at looking to the musician.

"I never thought I'd see someone playing a primitive hallikset here. He doesn't look like a pirate, but he does look and dress like a rebel from my galaxy. One from the outer reaches." She shrugs, assuming she is wrong since there are a few indescribable aspects about him. Yet it is curious his garb is so similar. She will keep her eyes open with this guy. Turning back to Silvertail, she asks, "With your powers, could you play such an instrument?"

Josten looks up from his conversation with the agathions as the music begins to play.
Wow! He's good. But I can make him better.
VoA, your input is requested.

"That's the common term for it on my world," Silvertail replies. "As for playing an instrument? Given that I've never learned how to, I doubt anyone would want to hear me try."

She waves a tail dismissively. "And I'd be careful reading anything into dress around here. After all, what's one world's idea of noble outfitting might be another's lower-class dress."

Liberty's Edge

Having selected a song he'd learned from an 'earth' he visited regularly, Eldlen knew his performance was good enough to catch someone's attention. Knowing the song well enough, he didn't need to look at the strings to play. Instead he looked around the saloon; but was interested the most in the table with the two large men, the armored woman and her pet fox. Both the men had gotten up, the big bald one speaking with the barkeep. The pretty red head moving across the saloon, then stopping at the card game. Smiling to himself, he wondered if the red head was a gambler.

As he started the second verse, his eyes returned to the less-full table. The dark-haired woman was definitely speaking with the fox, and it looked like the fox was speaking back to her. Eldlen, paused, it wasn't the first time he'd seen a 'speaking animal' there were many of them in the fey realm. Maybe it was because they were in a saloon. Maybe it was because of how different the fox and the dark-haired woman was. As he pondered the fox, he realized the fox was looking at him. Smiling, he winked at the four tailed creature; hoping that the two of them had been talking about his music.

As he began the bridge, he kicked his hat a little further from the table. He had coin in his pocket, of course he had no idea if this place would recognize them or not. Either way, alcohol tasted better when it was purchased with someone else's money.
