Nal slips up the stairs like a silent shadow, making sure to keep her back straight so Hadega doesn't call after her and render her stealthy gait useless.

As Nal approaches the top of the stairs, she can see the entirety of the hallway on the manor’s second floor is covered in a dense fog.

As you approach the top of the stairs, you realize the mist filling the second floor hallway is a Haunt.
An obscuring fog covers the entirety of the hallway and northern room of the manor’s second floor. Anyone moving through the area is subjected to an attack from a ghostly assailant.
Disable Acrobatics DC 23 to maneuver through the fog, Religion DC 21 to ward off the spirit, or Stealth DC 23 to move through the fog without attracting attention.
Disabling the haunt requires three successful checks, and each attempt takes two actions. Disable actions may be taken from the edge of the mist at the top of the stairs.
Gaseous Sludge The area of the haunt is difficult terrain.

Returning to the group, Nal reports: "There's a haunt in the hall that fills it up with fog. Anyone good at handling those?" Regardless of the answer, Nal returns to the top of the stairs. Taking a deep, steadying breath, she gives Salera a wink and slinks into the fog.

Nal Sneaks through the Fog (more area revealed on the slide, and compass rose added to the top of the slide for orientation.) She eventually gets to the stairwell on the other side that Azrael is ascending. Along the way, she sees an opening into a room to the South with a spiral stairway leading up and down. There are four single doors into rooms on the North. In the center of the hallway on the North side, double doors have been destroyed and she can hear someone inside shouting apologies into the mist.
Azrael and Jiggo can see the fog but can't detect the haunt.
Nal could explain the haunt to her team mates.

Well, that was. . . disappointing. Luz, can can set the Haunt as one of your leads if you like.
I don't know why someone sneaking though the fog contributes to disabling it, but that is the way the scenario is written. Nal has given you two successes so far. I am struggling with whether to activate the Haunt based on Enrax's action, but will not for now.
