Jacen d'Orien
Karsh'e notes the d'Orien name. "Sounds pricey, but maybe we could get a family discount," he mumbles around the bite of burrito in his mouth.
"One hopes. I ordered extra glasses for us because I wanted to make a toast, to our sucesses thus far, which are more than I think we planned, and to our upcoming endevor. Gods be with us."
Karsh'e
"Past success, and the blessings of the Dragon Above." Karsh'e raises his glass in imitation of the others, and adds his coda before draining the wine in one go.

"All is good." Karsh'e leans back in his chair. Things are indeed good. His stomach is full. He is dry and warm. The ground does not heave like the deck of a ship. And soon, they will depart for an adventure in the Mournlands.
Jacen d'Orien
The waiter returns. "Well, is everything all right?"
"All is well, yes, thank you."
Turning to the group, Jacen says, "To the matter at hand, what else do we think we need to get through to the facility? I feel like our main concern is probably water and I am sorry to say that is not somethinng I can conjure. What else will ensure our progress?"

"A list? I can try to remember if you tell me what you need. I travel very simply. If we are not assured of safe food and water, I think that is all I would need to take."
Karshe, may be underestimating the Mournlands somewhat.
Beren Lonn
Beren gets drunk in front of your eyes. The next day, suffering from a hangover, he will not want to go anywhere, and later he will go on a binge for a week and will shoot back with a crossbow if you try to take away his drink. It seems that you will have to go to the Mournlands without him...
Lia eberron
"Well, I wish him well in his journeys. Now, as for that list. We have food, water, weapons. What other survival gear do we need? Are we walking or are there mounts available? Ho long is the expected trip?"
She abruptly stop, her face scrunches up in a grimace.
"I'm starting to sound like my mother..."
Jacen d'Orien
"Let's get some things; I'm not opposed to either departure. Leave tonight and set up a camp somewhere that isn't blighted, or set out at dawn. Both of those are good I think. But let's go shopping. The only thing that we didn't mention is healing & curing; having some potions and scrolls with us for those purposes might not hurt."
Karsh'e
"This is an unhappy place. The little good is swamped by the bad. I would leave as soon as we can." Karsh'e says his piece. After a short pause he clarifies, " After we buy our supplies."
Lia eberron
"Well then. Let us get food and water, any other supplies and head out. We have the scrolls of healing that we were advised to purchase due to the vagaries of healing in that area."
Anyone remember how many we bought?

Lia will purchase 4 potions and assuming she can use an arcane wand of healing, 3 of those.
You can never have enough healing...
Soon as Karsh'e has paid his debts and has some real money, he'll pick up a wand of cure light wounds. But that's not today. On the bright side of Beren's departure, Karsh'e owed him money too. Guess he won't be repaying that debt unless Beren comes back.
Karsh'es gear :
Combat Gear: candles (10), bread, loaf, rations, trail, per day (3),
Other Gear: falchion, leather armor, outfit, peasant's, pouch, belt, pot, iron (2), stilts (common), rope, silk (50 ft.) (2), musical instrument, flute, kite (common), blanket, winter, skillet, common, string (50 ft.), whetstone, backpack, common, flint and steel, jug, clay (2), thieves' tools, waterskin, filled (2), sealing wax, dagger, whip, +1 longsword, 25.09 gp
Karsh'e looks over his companions. "Some of you might want a tent and blanket. "

In principle that bread you brought, from Sharn, is NOT in the best shape at this point, but yeah, now is probably the time to get some standard adventuring stuff
Karsh'e
Karsh'e trails along. He'll gladly contribute his small number of coins to the common purse.
All he has is 25 gold and a pile of debt. I guess he could sell his falchion.

I can't even rememeber the last time I opened this character in HeroLab, but we basically want some tents and some food and some water, right? Nothing all that expensive. I like the cart idea in principle, but Jacen doesn't want to imply that the warforged be pack animals simply because they are less susceptible to the Mournland/"

Oh, you meat people can take your turn pulling the cart as well.

If you can stand the temperament, a mule might be a good choice.
Karsh'e
Karsh'e fully expects to carry stuff or help haul a cart.
Mule has the same objections as horses, except we might not like a mule as much.

The goblin outfitters is down the road, but less dangerous, than the trip to the beautiful Khundarak bank. Ran by goblins, but overseen by someone of House Orien, the building looks like an outdoor store like Cabelas. There is an entrance with two doors, and the place looks like it was built with adobe. It does smell like they are roasting chili peppers.

At the front desk is a goblin maid. "Can I help you?" she says in Common. "Is there something you are looking for?"
She speaks Common in a very precise way. Usually she deals with goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears. However, she knows what an Elf looks like. Especially one from Aerenal.
Also, the desk is made of dark, scented cherry wood. It was stained with a stain imported from Breland. The stain brings out the natural sheen of the wood. Despite Darguun being a tropical region, House Orien pulled out all the stops in bringing this store to the forefront. Even if the House caters to goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears.
Lia eberron
"Greetings! This desk is beautiful! Ah, anyway, yes, we find we have need to make an overland trip and need a few supplies. Food and water and tents at the least. What else would you suggest for the nearby lands?"
Jacen d'Orien
"Well met young lady; Jacen d'Orien at your service. Many thanks for your professionalism and my compliments on representing House Orien. I will mention this when I return to Passage to visit my uncle."
Jacen makes the smallest of bows to the woman, but is clearly appreciative.
"Any maps would probably helpful - we know that a lot has changed through the course of the war, but a great deal may be familiar as well."

"Where, in the Mournland are you headed exactly," she says.
Jacen d'Orien
"As you can imagine, that is hard to say exactly. From here, we will set out for Lyrenton, which we will skirt due to the wasting plague that seems to linger there, and then on to the areas around Whitehearth. We will most likely center our activity on Whitehearth, but will venture furthur as needed."
