"Thank you, Lady Elaydren. We will be careful. And now Lia wants to visit House Jorasco."

We're to see the halfings. The wonderful halfings of House Jarsco!

He looks quizzical and then chuckles, "No, I meant Merrix, the Son of Aeren, not Merrix the Father of Aeren. He's not dead at all."

After a slight pause, Lambda nods. "Yes, humans and their repetitive naming conventions. So imprecise. My mistake."

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

The house Jorasco enclave in Sharn was not very far away. It was in a tower that housed a hospital. Both for the infirm and the sick. The people you were going to meet was a expert on Healing in the Mournlands. She was a stout halfling. Her clothes, scrubs, were mostly that of a Nurse. Although she was wearing clean clothes, her bearing was that of a leader.

"Yes, can I help you? You need healing?", she asked.

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

"Greetings. We actually need information. We will be heading into the Mournlands soon. We need to know what obstacles, creatures and other possible dangers we might face. I am told your house is the expert on this information. Would someone be able to talk to us concerning this?"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

The halfling explains, "regular cleric healing doesn't work in the Mournlands."

Male Half-orc Bard 2 Init +2 Percept +5 (darkvision 60) SenseMotive +4 22 /22 HP; Fort +3 Reflex +5 Will +3 (+4 v Bardic, sonic, lanaguage) ; AC 14, touch 14, flat-footed 12

Karsh'e smiles toothily. "What kind of healing does work?"

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

"Well. That is good to know. Thank you. What might we encounter in the area? "

Karsh'e wrote:

"Arcane healing, as far as we know," said the halfling nurse. "Our dragonmarks don't work in the Mournlands, although I'm trying to write a paper on the Mournlands for my house."

Lia Eberron wrote:

"Mutants. Some with open sores, some with tumors, and some mangled like they were put together wrongly. Also, you may encounter Warforged and living spells. That's spells with a life of their own. Also, you may encounter dead people who won't decay."

Male Half-orc Bard 2 Init +2 Percept +5 (darkvision 60) SenseMotive +4 22 /22 HP; Fort +3 Reflex +5 Will +3 (+4 v Bardic, sonic, lanaguage) ; AC 14, touch 14, flat-footed 12

"Do you have any wands of arcane healing?"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"Yes, we do," said the Nurse.

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

"It sounds as if this is a very dangerous place indeed. Is there any standard equipment you might suggest we take for a few days there?"

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"Make sure you have weapons," she says. "And make sure you have our arcane healing wands, potions work too. And make sure you have your wits about you. There's no telling what may or may not happen. And of course, make sure you take food."

Warforged Aegis (Aberrant) 2

Lambda double checks it's tool kit. Arcane healing, divine healing, as long as I have the right wrenches and screwdrivers it shouldn't effect me much.

Male Half-orc Bard 2 Init +2 Percept +5 (darkvision 60) SenseMotive +4 22 /22 HP; Fort +3 Reflex +5 Will +3 (+4 v Bardic, sonic, lanaguage) ; AC 14, touch 14, flat-footed 12

It wasn't clear. Do we get the 2000 up front or after the job?

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

"And how much do you charge for your arcane healing wands? Do you sell potions as well?"

After the job, sorry about that. The handy halversack that Lady Elaydryn gave you has about a 1,000 gp worth of supplies.

Lia eberron wrote:

The halfling nods to the question about selling potions. "We charge 10 gold for the potions, and 20 gold for the healing wands," she explains.

We should have negotiated a down payment. Oh well....

How many charges to the wands and how much money have we made so far? :)

10 charges each. You should have about 1,000 gp each.

Lia will purchase 4 potions and assuming she can use an arcane wand of healing, 3 of those.
You can never have enough healing...

The total comes to 100 gp.

Escher will contribute for two wands for the party and two potions that he'll keep.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

The halfling nurse will have them brought to you. She asks you to stay by the nurse's aid station while she gets the items you need from stock.

"Well, this has been a fruitful visit. Any other questions?"

"We should probably be underway. There are places along our route where we can procure other things, but less time in sharn is probably better than more."

Karsh'e has just a handful of cash, and still owes the original party for the longsword. Lia, Escher, he'll chip in a little over what he owes when we're paid off.

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

Lia is still not worried or expecting her 'share' from that sword. :)

"I can leave any time."

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Are you going over land, or over sea?

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

I don't think we reached a consensus but the sea route seems the fastest and safest to me..

It could be. Remember, you are adventurers. So I can complicate either way with encounters.

Cookie Jar Pilferer 9 ; Dimensional Explorer 4

Consensus was to go by ship.

Warforged Aegis (Aberrant) 2

Ship sounds fine to me.

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

Okay, there is a Lyrandar transport headed to Darguun. It is a beautiful sailing ship, produced by house Cannith. The sails are made of the finest sail cloth, and it's body made of the finest wood -- soarwood to be precise. It's called the Princess Anne.

More than likely headed from Sharn to Korranberg.

Would be amazing if we could convince the captain to make us further along the coast amd up into Torlaac Bay as far as Arthuun ...

Beren smokes and looks into the distance from the deck of the ship.

We're all like a boat that's spinning in a storm. We manage our lives no more than sailors who are pulled into deep waters and tossed from side to side on giant waves, and it is so dark with clouds and rain that it is not possible to understand where to sail and why to sail because the end is inevitable. That's the way we are... We are carried by the storms of life and only pretend that we are in control of something, clutching convulsively at the sides of the boat.

His thoughts are interrupted by a particularly severe coughing fit.

A half-orc lumbers along the quays of Sharn in strange company. He doesn't have a proper cloak; he seems to be counting on his wide, conical straw hat to serve a cloak's purpose. Rough homespun hangs from his limbs. His plain leather vest looks stout enough. Could it be a piece of hide turned inside out? A knife rests in a horizontal sheath across his belly; it's supported by his rope belt is knotted at his right hip across from a longsword that slaps awkwardly against his thigh or calf with each step. A neatly looped whip hangs over one shoulder. On his back is a large itinerant peddler's pack, although it sags mostly empty. The pack clanks of metal knocking on metal when he moves. Two long wooden staves are tied to the pack and loom above his head to provide room for more storage.

The half-orc's features are almost mild enough to pass for human, and his long, lush hair supports the inference, but a prominent lower left canine that just slips out from under his upper lip, and a faint greenish tinge to his skin, proclaim a different ancestry.

His companions are an eclectic lot, two warforged, two humans and an elegant elf in a cloak in the Aerenali style.

The half-orc stops passersby to ask if they know where the Princess Anne is tied up. His easy demeanor eventually gets an answer and he strides briskly up the appointed gang plank. "Is this the Princess Anne? I've passengers for you if you're sailing east."

Male Human Psion 10/Atlanteologist 10

"Yes, this is the Princess Anne. We are a cargo ship bound east," says a sailor. He is clearly not the captain of this ship. "Oh, passengers. What's the destination?"

Elf (Aerenal) Cleric of the Undying Court 2 HP 9 AC 20 (T 13, FF 17) Fort +4 Refl +4 Will +7 init +3

"Greeting and thank you for providing transport for us. Our listed destination is Darguun I believe but if you are headed further, such as closer to Arthuun we would be happy to pay extra for that destination."
Correct me if i'm wrong with the names. :)

"This ship can go up river," says the mate. "Rhukaan Draal is certainly possible."

Lambda stays in the back, nodding silently as the others make arrangements. It also scans the area for suspicious activity, just in case.

There's no suspicious activity you can pick out on the boat.

"One place to hang our hats until we conduct our business in Rhukaan Draal would be greatly appreciated."
