A crowd of drenched Pathfinders is pleased to report that the Sunken Halls is cleared!

A courier arrives bearing a message: “All agents are to report back to base camp.”

Once the remaining teams have returned to camp, Venture-Captain Luna Aldred calls the Pathfinders together, “With everyone’s work, we’ve uncovered two new areas in the ruins. One follows an old caravan route through the mountain, while the other goes through an abandoned temple. Choose whichever route you prefer, but keep your eyes peeled, as we’re getting closer to Raseri Kanton. However, the Aspis Consortium is closing in. We’ll return to the ruins tomorrow and beat those snakes to the city. Rest up tonight and prepare for a long day tomorrow.”

Frozen Flame + Dragon's Demand

A team of fellow Pathfinders meet you coming from farther into the Sunken Halls. They tell you that they've finished cataloging the area, and that your special expertise will be needed to explore the next bit--but first, a rest.

You return to base and rest for the night. Phosphorooo take a Hero Point.

In the morning, you head out toward the temple. This area once served as a religious site for the dwarves.

This area is dark unless otherwise stated, as it is far below the surface and any lighting system was destroyed ages ago. Unless otherwise stated, the ceilings are 10 feet high. The structure is made of worked stone.

Something has torn the stone tiles from this room, exposing red-streaked white soil beneath. Sections of the wall have collapsed or been torn apart, changing the room from the typical, straight lines of worked stone to a more organic shape almost like that of a skull. A sickly green altar radiates light from a fire etched into it.

Religion DC 15 or Dwarven Lore DC 10:
You can identify the
symbol in the altar as Droskar’s religious symbol.

Two twisted creatures lurk in the room, intent on destroying any intruders.

I'd bet Religion, based on how the tokens look.

You could do what I did & list your RK Skill values in your profile.
Then you can just tell the GM you want to RK & the numbers are there for the GM to make those secret checks.

The orc drags his javelin on the ground for a second to get a bit of dirt on it, then throws it at the creature. He's unable to tell at the moment exactly what most repels the beast, but focuses to make the bit of earth push back the Droskaran abomination. Failure so would just apply the Personal Antithesis of weakness 4 to this.

Noting that there's only one foe left and it looks like victory is near, Itka takes a moment to cast Guidance on Mandower, then sighs deeply as she casts Moth's Supper. Delicate black butterflies and death's-head hawkmoths flutter from her mouth to land on the bleeding corpses.

Mandower gets +1 to one attack roll, Perception check, saving throw, or skill check for 1 round.

Moth's Supper:
Duration: 1 hour
--You heal 2d4 Hit Points every 10 minutes.
--The first time during the duration when someone successfully Treats your Wounds, you regain an additional 4d4 Hit Points.
--You gain an imprecise sense out to 30 feet that senses only freshly spilled blood and rotten flesh.

Daphnaie will never get a reply from the demon, as her second strike ends its existence.

In the next chamber, Five stone columns form a line through the center of the room. The once-intricate details on the columns are now dust that coats the ground.

Mandowar and Ortus realize that the columns have been trapped!

There are 5 trapped columns. For each one, DC 24 Crafting (trained) to stabilize the column, DC 27 Athletics to push the column back into place.

Also, you can take a 10 minute rest for healing after the altar room encounter.

Not really seeing the column placement on a map/slides, but while Ortus has a bit of Athletics himself, if we try and 'fix' these traps I'm predicting a lot of pain in the future. Any thoughts on ideas we might be able to trigger them remotely team?
