Dwol hacks at the 2 headed wolf chopping off one of the heads with his second blow! Chack’s flashing scimitar manages to finish it off!
The night is quiet excepting the heavy breathing coming from the group.

Well fought everyone. I guess we know why the patrols from Trollheim are hard pressed to maintain the border. I pray our efforts bring them some relief; the more of these fell wolves we kill the fewer they will need to. Let's see about those wounds everyone.

Indeed. Hopefully we have seen the last of two-headed wolves. Guess I should have learned some energy resistance spells for our journey as well. -sigh- Sometimes I wonder if I should have just stuck with larceny, skullduggery, and back stabbing.

It’s obviously a +5 keen eagle.
Now:
Hal detects magic all around the group in the unnatural weather that has gripped this land but nothing particular from the cairn or skull. He believes the cairn and skull to be either a territorial marker or warning to stay out of the area.
Dwol detects evil within the weather and perhaps some faint evil around the cairn.

This entire land is a blight. Guess it's a good thing the Worldwound exists to give us some perspective. Let's keep going; shortest path is a straight line.

Dwol grimaces with a wry chuckle and shakes his head a little-Chack, I still have hope that Cayden will relent and we will find a more 'qualified' candidate to be the king of Janderhoff. I don't think that's likely, but I still can't imagine that I'm fit to rule.
Tip a few pints and be scourge of evil? Sure. Have the wisdom to rule and the strength to endure the pressures? I'm not as confident.
As for dwarves being like me, that's a firm no. Certainly one of the reasons I had to leave Janderhoff in the first place. Dwarves tend to be a bit more orderly and while their intentions are generally good, they frequently are short sighted and more than a little bit self-serving. At the end of the day, I just didn't fit in and ultimately couldn't find a reason to do so.
Maybe now I will have that reason.

Dwol thinks he hears something coming this way from over some small hills ahead. You are pretty exposed where you are at the moment. There is a stand of trees a little behind you and to your left and some rocks to your right. Rocks are a bit closer but the trees probably give better concealment.
