Savah's

Savah says nothing, waiting patiently for Thanara's response.

Woods:

Ghost Puppy basks in the attention she is receiving, nudging her head against Thanara and occasionally wriggling to ensure that particular parts of her body get the right amount of attention, especially the area just behind her pointed ears.

When she starts getting tummy scratches the puppy goes completely boneless and rolls over to make the process easier, clearly having the time of her life at the attention. She lets out a series of soft whines and growls that are clearly extremely happy sounds and, when Thanara's hand begins cramping and she stops, the puppy gives her an incredibly mournful look until it becomes clear that there will be no more tummy scratches for the time being.

The puppy sits up, facing Thanara and cocks its head inquisitively to one side. When that produces no response it turns in a tight circle and starts laboriously scratching in the dirt. Craning her neck Thanara can see crude letters being formed.

T - A - L - K then an awkward squiggle and the puppy turns back to the sorceress, and yips encouragingly.

Savah’s:

Thanara still doesn’t reply. She steps away from the wash basin, turning away from Savah and steps over to her robe which is laying on the chair piled under Savah’s own clothing. She starts digging through the clothes trying to find hers in the mix.

The Woods:

Thanara nods from her spot on the moss covered rock on which she is laying on her side facing the puppy. When Snow shifts into her normal form, Thanara starts to talk, but the action of actually trying to verbalize her mental situation causes her to start to tear up again.

”S-sorry. I thought I could talk about it…” she says after long moment of crying again.

"I'm the only one who's been in the mill so far," Hemlock says. "I ordered my men to stay out until you've had a chance to look around, so as not to disturb the evidence.

"As I said, these aren't the first murders that have happened. Three con men from the town of Galduria were found murdered in an abandoned barn south of town a few days ago—their bodyguard survived the assault but has gone insane and was sent to Habe’s Sanatorium. When you're done at the sawmill, I can tell you more about them."

***

The Sandpoint Lumber Mill stands on the shore of the Turandarok River. A sizeable crowd has gathered outside by the time you arrive, and groups of nervous-looking town guards stand at the mill’s entrances. Thanara knows that the mill was working last night—Harker and Thorn, the two millers, often worked late into the night, which had become a bone of contention around town as the noisy mill and its infernally creaky log splitter kept neighbors awake. The guards nod silently and step aside to allow you entry to the mill.

The mill is a well-built wooden structure with very thick walls. The roof is of wooden shingles, and doors are simple timber and unlocked. The mill machinery has been disengaged.

The mill interior is coated with sawdust strewn with footprints and splashes of blood. A lingering scent of decay hangs in the air, the stench of rotten flesh. It smells almost as if an animal had died somewhere in the room and its remains were allowed to ripen.

Poor Katrine Vinder's mangled, ruined remains lie on the mill’s lower floor amid heaps of bloodstained firewood. It appears that she was pushed into the log-splitter, a chute in the floor with rotating saw blades that cut logs as they are fed in.

Harker’s body has been horribly desecrated. The poor man has been affixed to the wall by several hooks normally used to hang machinery. The body is mutilated, the face carved away and lower jaw missing entirely. His bare chest is defaced as well, bearing a strange rune in the shape of a seven-pointed star—the same rune on the medallion that Snow claimed from Nualia.

A handaxe is embedded in the floor near the log splitter, as if it had been dropped there. The handle is covered with bloody finger-marks, and a close examination of the head reveals two things of note. First, smears of what look like rotten flesh and fragments of bone are caked on its blade, and second, the rotten meat stink is strong on it.

Medicine, Religion, and/or Survival checks may reveal more clues, based on their results.

Thanara tries to look brave as the trio of women enter the mill.

Once inside, however, the grotesque, horrific scene breaks all pretenses of boldness with the three girls alone. As Snow busies herself with the actual search and investigation, all Thanara can manage is to wrap her arms around Lisavet and hide her face in her shoulder.

”Poor Kat…and Hark. They…they didn’t deserve this…”

Savah's

Savah maintains the stand-off, moving to lean against the door and physically block Thanara's exit.

"You aren't leaving until you answer me Pet." She says firmly.

Woods

Snow holds Thanara for a few long minutes, wrapping her in a warm embrace until the sorceress has recovered. Then she shifts seamlessly back into her puppy form, darts forward to nudge Thanara's leg and then bounds a few paces away, before looking back expectantly.

When Thanara just looks confused the puppy darts back in, butts Thanara's leg harder and then leaps away again. The message couldn't be much clearer, or more juvenile.

Tag! You're it!

Lisa holds Thanara tightly. "No, they did not. But I swear by the Dawnflower that we will find the person responsible and ensure they are punished for their heinous crimes. Such vile deeds will not be tolerated."

Once the sorceress has calmed somewhat, the priestess moves to investigate the bodies, trying hard to keep from gagging.

Lisa sighs and shakes her head, unable to glean more than the obvious. She looks at the axe, the intense stench around it making her eyes water.

"The stench of corruption here is far beyond that which a dead body can normally produce. I believe the creature that wielded this weapon was undead!"

Savah’s:

Thanara finally finds her robe, holding it up in front of herself in an attempt at modesty while they talk. ”Savah,” she says pleadingly.

The Woods:

Thanara returns the embrace firmly, breathing in Snow’s scent as she does. It’s very…wild…primal.

When Snow goes back into puppy form and boops her a couple times, the sorceress finally gets the drift. She chokes out a slight giggle and reaches down to take off her her heels before darting after Snow.

Surprisingly for Snow, Thanara snatches her up before she can even dart away! She rolls her onto her back again in her arms and starts tickling the puppies belly.

The Lumbermill:

”Undead? What do you mean, undead?” Thanara asks, confused by the term as she purposely does not look at any of the horrors in the room, cupping her eyes so that only a dusty patch of floor and wall are visible.

"Undead. Once-living creatures animated by spiritual or supernatural forces, chiefly negative energy or evil magic," Lisa recites didactically. "Sometimes a recently departed soul can be corrupted, especially if a person was extremely cruel or horrible in life. Surely, you've heard tales of ghosts or zombies? But also somewhat relieved knowing that her first suspect seemed to now be off the hook for this.

Lisa nods. "I have been lucky enough not to have seen such monsters first-hand. But I have been trained on how to deal with them. Sarenrae's burning light can burn their impure flesh and cause them to turn and flee. If it comes to fighting them, I will be ready."

She returns to Harker's body and points to the star carved on his chest. "Here is this symbol again. We need to know what it means. Perhaps a local sage may be able to elucidate us?"

Savah's

"No." Savah says, stepping forward to pluck the robe from Thanara's hand, leaving her exposed. "I asked you a question and I expect an answer!" She looms over Thanara, easily pulling the sorceresses hands away when she tries to cover herself.

"You are mine Thanara and when I ask a question you will answer me!"

Naked and with both hands pinned in Savah's powerful grip there is little the sorceress can do...

Woods
The puppy is taken aback by Thanara's speed and lingers a moment too long! Being caught however turns out to be fun and Ghost Puppy yips and yowls in delight at the fearsome tickling she receives.

Unfortunately for Thanara the puppy has more stamina than she does so when she finally lets the puppy go she immediately receives another bump on the leg and this time the puppy doesn't wait around to be caught!

Murder Scene
Snow morphs her face with a swift shake and goes sniffing around the mill. Fortunately the stink of undead is so potent that its almost impossible to miss.

Medicine, Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 221d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26

Having learned what she can from the scene Snow waves to her companions and sets off out of the mill to follow the scent trail.

Examining Harker's body, Snow notices the presence of several additional wounds. Unlike the deeper slashes on the body, these smaller gashes almost seem to have been made by claws—claws on a five-fingered, human-sized hand. The rotten scent seems stronger near these wounds.

The stench is also stronger around a set of barefoot prints within the mill. Timber is delivered to the mill via a small pier that extends out into the Turandarok River. A set of muddy footprints leads from one end of the pier up to the mill itself. Snow deduces that a barefoot human man clambered up from the mud under the pier, crossed over to the mill, and then scaled the wall to an upper-floor window.

The scent trail leads to the marsh on the other side of the river from the mill. Snow notices a relatively dry spot that bears a number of barefoot human tracks and a lingering stink of rotten flesh. The tracks lead from and into the river, but never away from the site. The spot is hidden by several low banks of nettles, but offers a perfect view of the mill to anyone hidden here.

There doesn't seem to be anything else you could learn here at the scene of the crime.

Thanara thinks a minute, braving it enough to turn her head just enough to make eye contact with Lisavet. ”I mean, there’s Quink. He says he has a lot of history studying stuff. But he also claims the Old Light wasn’t a lighthouse at all but some sort of do-hickie that could shoot fire hundreds of miles away.”
__________
Savah’s:

Thanara’s eyes go wide as Savah grabs her wrists roughly! ”Savah…Savah what are you doing?!” she asks nervously as she wriggles her wrists in Savah’s hands, her grip on the bracelets resulting in her hands only feebly rolling around in the metal cuffs.

Thanara shakes her head. ”Kat and Hark were a couple in secret. If they were both here, they were likely being romantic, which means Ibor wasn’t here. Ibor is strong, but he wouldn’t do this…”

Father having his men kill one another would only hurt profits…

”And neither Ibor or Ven have ever made any sort of pass at me. So I…honestly don’t think questioning them is of any use,” she adds.

Savah's
"Reminding you about my rules!" Savah says firmly. "I didn't think I needed to do this, you were being so good, but it seems you do need reminding after all."

She swiftly spins the sorceress around and links her bracelets, leaving her arms helplessly pinned behind her back.

"Kneel." Savah says harshly. "Your place is at my feet." When Thanara hesitates Savah grabs her shoulder and forces her inexorably to the floor.

"Rule number one, you refer to me as Mistress in private. You have broken this rule repeatedly. Four times in fact, that I have counted. That means four days. Four days when you come to me that you will serve me without receiving any pleasure of your own. You will learn to obey your mistress without question."

Unsatisfied by Thanara's passivity Savah pulls her head sharply backwards, "Do you understand? The only answers are yes Mistress or no Mistress."

"Another rule," She says, once Thanara gasps out her response. "You will be honest with me at all times. If I ask a question you will answer it honestly and promptly. I will do the same for you, provided that you follow rule number one." She leans in, grasping Thanara's nipples and twisting sharply. "Do. You. Understand?"

Once again Thanara moves with the speed of lightning and captures her quarry in record time. Ghost Puppy clearly doesn't mind too much though!

Now

Snow ends up fairly muddy, traipsing up and down a stretch of the river to make sure she's picked up all the scent she can. Unfortunately she has.

Returning to the mill she reports what she's found. "Human. Fingers, not claws." She points out the relevant wounds. "All rotten. Came from river. Watched mill first. Can't track further." She seems quite annoyed by that fact.

"Will know again. If smell." She looks around and shrugs. "What next?"

Savah’s:

”Uunngghhh,” Thanara grunts as Savah pushes her to her knees, bound. She couldn’t believe the sudden change in Savah’s attitude! But to her first demand, she stammers ”Y-yes, Mistress,” mostly out of fear.

Then she roughly twists her nipples, causing her to gasp sharply in pain and cry out ”Yes! Yes! Yes Mistress yes!” in desperation to get her to let go.

Woods:

Thanara giggles as she catches Snow easily again. She tickles the puppy some more as she says ”I thought you’d be harder to catch as a pup. Guess your just too clumsy with four legs, huh?”

"Let's speak to Brodert Quink," Lisavet says.

You exit the mill, allowing Sheriff Hemlock in his men to enter and begin cleaning up the crime scene. You brave the chilly morning air as you head to Tower Street and the home of local historian and sage Brodert Quink. Quink answers the knock on his door. He is an older, balding man with a bristly mustache.

"Oh! Good morning, ladies. What can I do for you today?"

RETIRED - defeated Karzoug, saved Sandpoint and happy Alpha of her little Pack

Savah's

"Am I going to have this problem with you again?" Savah asks, easing her twist but not releasing it.

Woods

Ghost Puppy yips and starts licking Thanra's face enthusiastically. It seems getting caught is part of the fun!

Quink

Snow, who isn't entirely sure why the three of them are there, stays silent.

She doesn't wear, or even have, the medallion right now. She'd prefer to sell it, or have Thanara use it with her much lower HP.

"We are currently investigating some serious happenings about town," Lisavet says, remaining vague. "This particular symbol has been involved. Do you know what it might be?"

She shows Quink a sketch of the seven-pointed star. Quink adjusts his spectacles and peers at it. "Hmm! I believe that rune is associated with the ancient civilization of Thassilon! You're in luck, ladies, as Thassilon happens to be my primary field of research! Do come in, and I will tell you what I can."

Once you are settled in the house, Quink serves tea as he speaks. "Unfortunately, much of the lore about ancient Thassilon has been lost; what does remain has been gathered from barely legible carvings on the surviving monuments or extracted from the myths and oral traditions of Varisian seers and storytellers. What I do know about Thassilon is that it was a vast empire ruled by powerful wizards. The sheer size of the monuments they left behind testifies to their power, and the unnatural way many of these monuments have resisted erosion and the march of time testifies to their skill at magic. Most sages place the height of the Thassilonian empire at 7,000 to 8,000 years ago, but I thins the empire was even older—I suspect it collapsed no sooner than 10,000 years in
the past.

"Now, that star seems to be one of the most important runes of Thassilon. The star itself is known as the 'Sihedron Rune,' and signifies not only the seven virtues of rule (generally agreed among scholars to have been wealth, fertility, honest pride, abundance, eager striving, righteous anger, and rest), but also the seven schools of magic recognized by Thassilon. Divination magic was not held in high regard by the ancients, it would seem." Quink smirks. "Much of what is understood about Thassilon indicates its leaders were far from virtuous, and I believe the classic mortal sins (greed, lust, pride, gluttony, envy, wrath, and sloth) rose from corruptions of the Thassilonian virtues of rule. In any event, the Sihedron Rune was certainly a symbol of power, one that may well have stood for and symbolized the empire itself."

Investigation:

Thanara half listens, not certain they could trust any of his wild theories knowing what ludicrous thoughts he had for the Old Light. But, she was not rude, and figured she should play along to not offend the man. ”But, why would it be on this amulet, as well as carved into the…scene of the crime?”

"I can't say for sure," Quink says, stroking his mustache. "If you found it at a crime scene, it might indicate that the criminal is some sort of scholar."

Quink pauses a moment, then his eyes widen. "B-but not me, of course! I am not a criminal!" he insists.

Savah's

"Good." Savah says firmly. "You owe your Mistress an apology Thanara. For your disrespect and attempting to deceive me. I don't want to hurt you. I don't like hurting you, but if you will not be a good girl, if you won't obey my rules. My simple rules; then I have to do it. You understand that don't you? You have to obey."

She reaches behind Thanara and after a moment of painful manipulation, releases her arms. "Now you are going to apologise, and I am going to forgive you." She says calmly. "Then you are going to go home, because I don't want anything bad to happen to you. Then tomorrow, or the next day, as soon as you can, you will come back here to show me how sorry you are. And you are going to remember the rules. Do you understand Thanara? Are you going to be a good girl for your mistress? A good pet?"

She cups Thanara's chin in her hand, gently this time. "Well?"

Snow manages to restrain a snort of laughter, which comes out as a rough barking sound instead. The fear reek from Quint makes it clear to her that he'd never have done something like they've just seen. He doesn't have the stomach for it!

Once you have learned what you can from Brodert Quink, you return to the garrison to speak to Sheriff Hemlock about the first murders. Hemlock explains that 2 days ago, a patrol of guards along the Lost Coast Road were assaulted by a deranged man near an abandoned barn south of town along the banks of Cougar Creek. The man was obviously sick and insane, his flesh fevered, eyes wild, mouth frothing, and clothes caked with blood. The guards subdued him, but when they checked inside the barn they discovered the mutilated bodies of three men. Although all three bodies were far too disfigured to identify, one of them carried a piece of parchment that Hemlock gives you to read.

Messrs. Mortwell, Hask, and Tabe—

A deal has come about that I need capital for. It involves property and gold, and though I am not at liberty to tell you the exact details, it will make us all rich. Come to Bradley’s Barn on Cougar Creek tonight. We can meet there to discuss our futures.

-Your Lordship

The note identifies the bodies as Tarch Mortwell, Lener Hask, and Gedwin Tabe, three notorious con men and swindlers known well to Sheriff Hemlock as local troublemakers. He personally forbade the three men from operating their con games and barely legal operations in Sandpoint, and wasn’t particularly surprised at the time to find them murdered—it was only a matter of time before they tried to swindle someone worse than them, after all. But in light of the mill murders and the fact that Mortwell, Hask, and Tabe all bore the same seven-pointed marking on their chests that Harker did, Hemlock is convinced there is something worse than revenge afoot.

The bodies of all three men lie in state in a cool basement room below the Sandpoint Garrison. Although decay has set in, an examination reveals that all three bodies bear claw marks similar to those that the on Harker’s body.

The insane man has been identified as one Grayst Sevilla, a local Varisian thug. He’s been given over to the care of Erin Habe, caretaker of an independent sanatorium south of town; if you wish to speak to Grayst to learn more, Sheriff Hemlock welcomes you to try but warns you that Grayst is “a bit off his rocker” and you shouldn’t expect much. He provides you with a letter of introduction to Habe.

”A letter of introduction, how formal…” Thanara says with numb but playfully intended snark as she takes the letter.

She hands the letter from the killer addressed to her to Snow and Lisa and slips the introduction into the breast pad of her dress. As they head out, Thanara says ”If this Habe guy is so solitary that we need a letter, I might need to use a similar trick that I used on Ripnugget. So let’s avoid fighting if we can, right?”

She then acquired her horse to ride for the trip.

It doesn't take long to ride south along the farm road to Habe's Sanatorium. The squat, stone building that serves as the sanatorium has three floors under a stout, stone-flagged roof, and is built in the lee of the limestone escarpment known as Ashen Rise. A brisk sense of cleanliness
fills the place—floors are scrubbed and walls are freshly painted white. The somewhat sour smell of burning incense abounds.

The old floorboards of the building's wooden veranda creak under your feet as you enter the reception room. This room contains a desk and three chairs. A cord hangs from a hole in the southern wall above a sign that reads, “Ring for service.”

Ringing the bell summons Erin Habe himself, who emerges from deeper in the building after about a minute or so. He doesn't look happy to see you, though. "I apologize, but I cannot admit any visitors right now. I am in the middle of some frightfully important work and cannot be disturbed."

Thanara curtsies to the man when he greets them, albeit dismissively. She offers him the letter and replies ”Our apologies for interrupting your work, Sir,” with a disarming smile. ”It seems we have something in common, as we too have very urgent business that brings us to your step. Please, may we have but a moment of your time? We will try and keep it brief,” she asks.

Sneaking a Charm on him.

Will: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11

As Thanara's magic settles over Habe, the doctor's demeanor immediately changes. He smiles widely and bows. "Of course! Where are my manners? I humbly apologize, milady. How may I be of service?"

HP: 141/141| AC: 32| F: +22, R: +22, W: +21 | Perception +21 Hero Points: 3/3| Focus 1/3 | Level 1: 4/4, Level 2: 4/4, Level 3: 3/4, Level 4: 2/4, Level 5: 2/4, Level 6: 1/4, Level 7: 1/4

Thanara smiles at the tell tale signs that the man’s will totally crumbled to her magic. ”We are here seeking a man brought here that was ill. The only survivor of an attack. Grayst Sevilla? Could you tell us his condition, and everything you have learned from him during your care and study of him?” she asks as the trio of heroines enter.

"Ah, yes, Mister Sevilla. A curious case, indeed. Not only is this man obviously insane, driven so by some still-undiscovered trauma, but he also suffers from a terrible disease causing a hideous physical malaise. I have only recently determined that Mister Sevilla has contracted ghoul fever. If you wish to speak with him, I can have my orderlies fetch him in short order."

HP: 141/141| AC: 32| F: +22, R: +22, W: +21 | Perception +21 Hero Points: 3/3| Focus 1/3 | Level 1: 4/4, Level 2: 4/4, Level 3: 3/4, Level 4: 2/4, Level 5: 2/4, Level 6: 1/4, Level 7: 1/4

Hearing a term like “ghoul fever” sent a chill through Thanara’s core. ”Thank you. We appreciate it. But, is it safe? The disease…are we at risk of catching it ourselves?”

"Ghoul fever is passed via the bite of a full-fledged ghoul, a type of ravenous undead creature," Habe says matter-of-factly. "Mister Sevilla has not fully succumbed to the disease and so his bite is not infectious. All the same, I would not recommend you allow him to bite you. Shall we?" He gestures to the nearby door.

HP: 141/141| AC: 32| F: +22, R: +22, W: +21 | Perception +21 Hero Points: 3/3| Focus 1/3 | Level 1: 4/4, Level 2: 4/4, Level 3: 3/4, Level 4: 2/4, Level 5: 2/4, Level 6: 1/4, Level 7: 1/4

Thanara looks to the other two girls with her, then nods. As they follow him, she asks ”Who all has attended to him? Have you called in any experts? Lisavet here is a priestess who is knowledgeable in this sort of thing, and there are others in town as well.”

Habe glances to the side. "I am the only one who has been attending him. Mister Sevilla's insanity makes him a danger to others, and I did not want to risk anybody else coming to harm. I assure you, I have given him nothing but the utmost care." His lip twitches a bit.

Both Snow and Thanara get the sense that Habe is acting strangely. Lisa leans in to whisper to Thanara. "I think he's lying. He's trying to hide the truth about what is going on here, whatever that might be."

Thanara nods to Lisavet’s insight. She places a hand gently on Habe’s forearm. ”Please Sir, we are trying to put an end to some gruesome murders in the area. Any and all information you can give us would be most helpful in bringing them to an end before further harm comes to anyone.”

She bats her eyes at the man and adds pleadingly ”Please…will you help us?”

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24

Habe glances around the room, and you can see the turmoil on his face. But in the face of Thanara's charms, the doctor sighs and relents. "I would not be telling this to anybody else, but I feel I can trust you," he says quietly. "I have not sought aid for Mister Sevilla's affliction because there is another person here who will not allow me. His name is Caizarlu Zerren, and he is a former Sczarni and a sinister necromancer! He has extorted me for years, operating out of my sanatorium and forcing me to take part in several vile experiments! He wants Mister Sevilla to die so that he can study his transformation into a ghoul!

"Caizarlu dwells downstairs. Please, do not confront him! He will kill you, and me! Just get what you need from Mister Sevilla and go!"

HP: 141/141| AC: 32| F: +22, R: +22, W: +21 | Perception +21 Hero Points: 3/3| Focus 1/3 | Level 1: 4/4, Level 2: 4/4, Level 3: 3/4, Level 4: 2/4, Level 5: 2/4, Level 6: 1/4, Level 7: 1/4

Thanara gives a concerned glance to Lisavet and Snow, gauging their thoughts on the news…

Lisa's eyes widen at the revelation. "A necromancer! He may be involved in the murders or he may not, but either way, we cannot allow his crimes to go unanswered. Sarenrae will not allow me to turn a blind eye to evil in our midst. We must put a stop to his experiments."

She looks over to Habe. "Something about this still doesn't seem right to me. I suspect the doctor may not be as innocent as he claims to be, either. We should make sure we thoroughly investigate."

Thanara nods in agreement. ”Habe,” Thanara says as she steps close, placing a calming hand on his chest. ”The three of us have taken down a goblin god. A simple necromancer does not frighten us,” she boasts, though in truth she was terrified. ”Show us to him, and my friends and I will bring justice to him and rid you of his torment.”

Habe leads you into and adjoining workroom, a combination kitchen and sewing room. His hands shake as he pulls a key from his belt and unlocks a door, revealing stairs leading down to the basement. "He's down there. Please, be careful!" The doctor scurries out of the room, seeking safety!

Snow hunches down and shakes herself a few times before suddenly transforming, not into the diminutive Ghost Puppy, but into a fully fledged, four foot long, snow white wolf!

The animal looks up at Lisa and Thanara with uncannily intelligent eyes and waits for them both to indicate their readiness, before bounding down the stairs!

Wild Shape! Different combat stats are in a spoiler at the top of my profile.

Lisa casts shield other and protection on Snow, then nods her readiness.

This large room combines the features of a wizard’s laboratory and a catacomb—several tables bearing bodies covered by drapes dominate the room, while tools ranging from shovels to dissection implements sit on shelves against the wall.

An elderly Varisian man in dark robes stands over one of the corpses, performing some sort of foul experiment. He looks up in surprise as Snow bounds into the room. "What is the meaning of this?" he demands, reaching for spell components!

Everybody may act! The necromancer is 20 feet away. The necromancer emits a scent of putrid rot in a 5-foot emanation. A creature that enters or begins its turn in the aura is sickened 1.

”Stopping your crime spree, necromanger,” Thanara boasts, mispronouncing the word. ”Your under arrest for extortion and at least five different murders!”

To emphasize her point, she throws a small orb of electricity at him.
