With a grunt of satisfaction from seeing the big red zombie fall, Booker moved in closer. He could feel the thrill of the fight thrumming in his ears. He reloaded the trusty scattergun and fired on the orange dancer.

Between three gunslingers, the orange undead falls to the ground in a heap. But as it falls to the ground, it explodes in a flash of darkness that emanates throughout the room.

Everyone notices that the wounds and bullet holes on the blue undead start to slowly stitch themselves together.

Immediately after, Zindarel, Doc, and Zakzak all feel like they were punched in the gut. Everyone but Booker takes 5 negative damage. DC 20 Basic Fortitude save.

The blue undead calls out, "You will pay for this! For killing my wife!"

Noticing that Zindarel is looking a bit ragged around the edges, Doc hops over the railing to land between the elf and Zakzak.

"Hold still a sec so I can keep the rest of your guts inside ya where they belong," she advises as she quickly tries to patch Zin's wounds.

The undead responds to Doc's questions. "My name is Harven Aldthislte.". He laughs menacingly. "Phrasma be damned! She siphons power and experiences from the mortal species. Her 'tax' was unjust. This ritual will stop her cycle and we mortals will reap the power!"

If you recall, Melsa Aldthistle was the playwright for The First Sin of Pharasma

He again laughs as he steps up to Zindarel and swipes at the elf with his dagger. Luckily Zindarel quickly dodges both attacks!

Booker will wait for everyone to put some distance between themselves and the enemy but, I want to go ahead and get my post up.

“Nothin’ good every came from screwin’ over a god,” Booker snarled as he loaded the barrel of his scattergun. Once he saw his opening, he fired on the chatty undead thing then reloaded again.

Between Zakzak's perfect shot and Doc's shot with her pistol, the undead abomination explodes! Similar to his wife, a wave of negative energy emanates throughout the room. All the gunslingers feel a knot in their stomach.

With the last of the undead destroyed, all is quiet in the theater. But occasional shouts and gunshots from outside brings them back to reality! There are still zombies outside roaming the streets!

The Zombies started from in here, so there must be something in here causing all this.

She drinks one of her minor healing potions.

She will also check the body of "Blue" to see of he had anything on him that might be contributing to the problems.


Both of the 'dancers' have a dagger and a defiled religious symbol of Pharasma. They don't seem to have anything else of note on them.

Thinking back, their dance was almost ritualistic. Defeating the two Aldthistles may have stopped the ritual from continuing, thus stopping the creation of any more zombies.

Zindarel starts to move to the other end of the room to investigate the stage and any kind of backstage area that might exist here.

Looking at the overhead view of the map, it doesn't look like there is a "Backstage" area. I wonder where else to look?

I would think there might be some clue as to what he did up near the stage? Or perhaps backstage? He might even have something hidden wherever he was staying, if we can figure out where that was?

She'll take a moment on the way to pull and drink her last minor healing potion.

As much as Zindarel looks, there is not a backstage nor does there seem to be anything hidden. The only thing left on the stage is the back drop for the play.

Melsa Aldthistle was the playwright. It seems like Melsa and her husband started a ritual when everyone was in the theater. The ritual then turned them undead, then all the theatergoers into zombies. They continued 'dancing' by acting out the play to continue the ritual. Since you destroyed the Aldthistles, you stopped any more zombies from being created by the ritual.

But there are still zombies roaming the streets outside it seems...

"Yeah, we need to see what's going on out there and make a plan, though having at least one of us somewhere sniping's probably a good idea no matter what," Doc agrees as she too pulls out a couple of minor healing potions and chugs them down.

Doc finds a wind and looks outside. In the large town squares, there are quite a few zombies wandering about. Perhaps 10 to 15 - it's hard to tell. Quickly heading up the stairs, Zindarel finds another window - a pretty nice spot to snipe from!

Doc, Booker, and Zakzak head outside to better face the zombies. Scoping them out, there are six zombies milling about. Interspersed are three larger, beefier zombies (the ones with a dashed line.).

They don't seem to notice the gunslingers just yet...

What do you do? Spend any more time here and they will notice you!

Booker shrugged. “Sometimes the best option is the most direct. Form up. I’ll take point. Focus fire on one at a time and sweep ‘em all down.” Booker pointed at the mob of undead, “If we move in a wedge, we should be able to keep them occupied enough that Zin can pick off a couple in the back too.”

Ideally, I can use Clear a Path to shove enemies back.

Zindarel aims and blasts one of the plague zombies! The first shot takes a chunk out of the undead's shoulder. The elf reloads and takes another shot! And more of the zombie's arm falls to the ground.

The bullets attract the attention of all the zombies! They turn and slowly walk up to the group of gunslingers.

The black plague zombie tries to move up to Zindarel, despite her being on the second floor. The other two plague zombies shamble up to the group!

Ugh. I'm not comfortable with that Shove roll. I'd like to use a Hero point if I can.

Doc steps away from the incoming zombies, letting her companions take the brunt of the attack. Her shot tears more of the zombie's flesh but it still stands!

Booker takes a shot at the zombie right in front of him! Blood and guts burst forth, but surprisingly it's still alive (critical hit though!). The gunslinger shoves the creature back with the butt of his gun and shoots again! This time, the zombie is turned to mist! Very much destroyed.

Afterwards, he takes out a spatula and serving ladle, reloading the spoongun with an extra special dose. "Take this!"

The slashing of the spatulas and serving ladles really do a number on the zombie! Though it hasn't quite turned to mist, there are quite a few holes in it!

The smaller/weaker zombies slowly shamble up towards the noise. Two heads towards Zindarel in the window, reaching up towards the second floor. The others head south towards the group of three of you!

Zindarel continues her target practice, focusing on the black zombie! Unfortunately, she barely does anything to her target!

The black zombie in retaliation reaches up to Zindarel... but it can't reach towards the second story window.

The white zombie on the other hand stumbles up to Booker, hands in the air. Clenching it's fists, it nearly punches the gunslinger...

Booker nodded at their steady progress. ”Nice and easy, ya’ll. Nice…and…easy,” he said before reloading, firing, and reloading again.

If White is still up, that’s priority. Otherwise, firing at Yellow

Zakzak lines up a shot on the white zombie. His two shots are lucky! The zombie collapses to the variety of spoons, very much destroyed.

Will change Doc's shot to Yellow instead of White.

Now that the white zombie is destroyed, Doc lines up her shot versus the yellow one instead. Her pistols tear the flesh of the yellow zombie to pieces! Very much destroyed as well.

And now that Yellow is destroyed, will redirect Booker's attack to Orange.

Now that there aren't any zombies immediately around him, Booker lines up a shot on the orange zombie. His strike hits, but isn't as effective as his companions. The zombie still stands!

The orange zombie walks up to Booker and attempts to claw at the gunslinger. And it manages to grab a hold of his collar as he is reloading. The other zombies shamble up closer but are still too slow to attack.

Zindarel lines up a shot versus the black zombie! Her shot pierces it's side. She reloads and tries again. Another good shot but it still stands. The zombie tries it's hardest to reach up towards the elf but fails miserably.

He shrugged off the orange undead and turned his aim on the green one. ”Ugh. Do whatcha gotta do, Book,” he said and unloaded on the green zombie.
