I... still don't see him. I feel really dumb for this, but can you highlight his token in, like, pink or something so it's really obvious?

GM Doom 'n Gloom |

Sorry for the confusion. I took him off the tracker as he would not wake up on his own before this fight conclude. Joahd's body (and token) has fallen in the doorway and is currently 'under' the BBEG. Characters in the room can see him laying on the ground and are able to target the still living paladin.

Cenae drops to her knees and begins praying. The holy spirit of Sarenrae falls down upon the room, allies and enemies are effected. She grins, "Now that we know what you are, you will burn in righteous fire!"
Cast Prayer. Essentially +1 to everything allies do and -1 to everything enemies do.

"If we're going to wake the paladin, somebody's gotta make that thing move!" Kasvot calls out as he sends another trio of magic missiles at their foe.

Niza steps up, takes the handful of dust and launches it at the fiendish ghost thingy, "I hope you sneeze to re-death!"
Ranged Touch + Prayer: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 1 = 17 for Charisma Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 4 (she does not have precise shot)

As Cenae calls upon the Dawnflower to bring righteous justice, Kasvot sends another steady stream of arcane missiles that plunge into the hazy figure.
Niza hurls some of the dust, but it hits the ground just short of the figure.
A growl from the middle of the room lets the party know that Shade can once again see, and is none too happy.
Shade, no longer blind, and Stormy are up.

Having cleared the glittering particles from his eyes Shade let out a dangerous growl and pounces upon the creature responsible for said particles.

Finally able to focus on the enemy, Shade tears into the incorporeal undead. Claw and fang rip away the very essence of the abomination until there is nothing left but a haunting "NNNOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo!" echoing off of the walls.
Breathing fitfully, Joahd remains unconscious. When healed, he awakes with a start. Almost immediately he begins to cry. He looks at the Pathfinders pleadingly. "I am so sorry. There was nothing I could do. I was trapped while that horror compelled my body to do ...monstrous things." He rolls to his knees, sobbing. He crawls toward the corpses piled togehter. He gently lifts the head of the elf and cradles it softly. Brushing the hair away from the face "Yetisiel. Can you forgive me?" He sits there, rocking back and forth.
You quickly investigate the rest of the area beyond the heavy black curtain. Save for a door, it is relatively featureless. Beyond the door, a yawning pit full of crackling back energy fills the southwest corner of this otherwise empty chamber. Senae and Stormy feel something is amiss and unnatural about it, as if it were a shaft of to oblivion.
With the Orb of Stars in hand, making your way back through the labyrinth presents no real challenge. Soon you are back in the more familiar ruins from your first exploration. Before too long you emerge topside. You never realized how sweet heavy salt air could taste. Gathering the shipwrecked crew, you make your way back down to the Grinning Pixie.
Once aboard, Captain Benarry at first looks disappointed at what must have been a failed effort. She then realizes that Joahd and the missing crew have accompanied your return. "You weren't in there more 'n a day! That, Pathfinders, is quite an impressive feat! I assume that means you found the Orb, and...my boat?"
While there is some celebration at your return, it is muted by the loss of the fallen team members also brought aboard. Joahd refuses to leave their side. He spends nearly every waking moment praying over his friends and begging their forgiveness.
One night as you are all enjoying a clear sky full of stars, the paladin approaches you. He carries this blade in both hands, slowly shaking his head. He is broken and defeated. "I want to thank you for freeing me...and recovering the others. As bad as it was, I can only wonder what harm I would have done to others had you not arrived. Please, accept Ether's Kiss as a token of my gratitude. Your heroic actions have made it possible to make certain my friends receive proper burials." Tears begin to stream down his cheek, reflecting some of the stars. "This blade is as much a sign of your courage as it is of my failure to save them. It mocks me now. I no longer deserve it. I wonder if I ever did. Perhaps I was merely a caretaker until its rightful wielder came along." He forces a smile, "Here."

Cenae eyes the former paladin and then sighs, "Well f$!&. You are lucky that Sarenrae allows redemption to be sought. And I guess it was mostly the ghost thing being an ass anyway. We'll take you back and see what the Captain says."
She waves off the Captain, "We were efficient, that's for sure. But I'm wiped. Can we do debrief in the morning? Or after a bath at least?"

Later, when they get the sword.
"Well uh.. thanks? I'm not much of a sword user, but who knows."

"I too wouldn't know that to do with it. But I'm sure we can find somebody who can." Or someone who wants to buy it, Kasvot thinks to himself, imagining the spending spree he could go on after selling such a powerful intelligent weapon.
