The bluff check got you on the boat, skipping an annoying bit of trying to catch up with the ship as they shot arrows at you. We'll see how this plays out, but I doubt you're going to be able to negotiate enough with just bluff to get the things you want from him...

Yeah, I figure there's a limit at some point, but right now her game is to just keep the party moving towards the items in question or their whereabouts until the jig is up.
I can be happy knowing that the bluff helped avoid a measure of friction already :)

Well, you might say things went sideways, but in a good way for you guys. Two fights you had to do ended up fighting each other, leaving you to fight the weakened surviving side. There should be some reward for really investing in bluff occasionally, right? :)
We're almost done with this one, everyone, so please make sure you posted your chronicle information earlier, and please roll any day job checks or anything if you did not do so earlier.

Well done, Nilah! :-D
I still have to go a long way to go using the social skills in Pathfinder.
Hm... maybe I should make a character who is actually good at bluff & co... *shrugs* ;-)

I like that.
Actually, I like that a lot.
As much a I love to battle - maybe I should wear a t-shirt: "Caution! There might be a little murder hobo power gamer inside!" ^-^ - the game is still called roleplaying and not rollplaying. ;-)
Bad rolls will still happen, but especially in pbp-games, when someone invests time in creative writing, it's really nice to see that the effort is (sometimes) rewarded...

man...it's great to actually switch to a more social character...i was always the tank/dps guy in my irl games...95% of the time a fighter type...mostly because the other guys weren't great at making combat types. since i started playing swashbuckler and a couple clerics, it's been great...

It's nice to switch from a highly-social character to a melee-oriented murder hobo (coughKiyokocough) too. ;)

I love socially oriented characters. My ifrit rogue would've excelled at this game in pretty much the exact same way Nilah did. Among my PFS characters, Charisma is easily the most-used mental stat.

Quick question #1: Is the slave a living humanoid or some kind of undead?
Quick question #2: Is Du Moire dead or just unconscious?

That last fight seemed very... anticlimactic.

Was I helpful enough to check off the faction goal about resolving a combat encounter nonviolently?

Thanks. Since she got a checkbox without a roll, she will make a day job check.
Craft (Painting): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27

Thanks a lot, Redelia!
I've got a question regarding a faction goal:
Identify a potion or other magic item whose caster level equals or exceeds your character level.
Well, we found one magic item: a scroll of arcane lock (spell level: wizard 2, therefore CL 3).
wizard gear: quarterstaff, dagger, scroll of arcane lock, spell component pouch, spell components
I assume there was no need to identify the scroll at that point (or you skipped it to get going with the mission). But can Kaervek still attempt to identify it?
If yes, here's the roll:
Spellcraft + Elven Magic: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 10 + 2 = 27 (vs. DC 18) :-D
Task: Identify the properties of a magic item using detect magic
DC: 15 + item’s caster level

Everything looks good. Thanks for the great game everyone, especially Redelia for running!

If anyone is interested, here is a link to a recruitment for another season 0 game I'm starting up soon.

Kaervek, that faction goal would be fine. You're right that I made a small error there because I was trying to keep the game moving, and that should not remove your opportunity for that faction box.
Great, thanks! ;-)
And I just want to say that it was not my intention to point out any error - actually, I don't see it as an error. I completely understand why you wanted to move on.Chronicle looks good, thanks again for running the game!
@Everyone: Thank you for a good game - I had fun! :-)
