Thought I would make a short post tonight about what to expect in the near future.
When I initially created this little sub-setting within Absalom station, I wanted some element of "sand-box" style play. This first adventure, that serves as an introduction for everything, is decidedly NOT a sand-box.
That is going to change in the coming weeks.
In a few days, your characters will be invited to a party at the Level 7 Bar and Grill. The other group will also be there celebrating after their successful hunt for a missing person (if, indeed, they are successful, they're still wrapping up).
There will be familiar NPC's there, and several new ones. You can interact as much, or as little, as you would like.
The possibility exists that there could be some swaps between the two groups, or that it could be fluid.
I'm working on my notes. There is a long list of mysteries, secrets, and dark little corners of the Gallery I am working on.
Tomorrow I will post your meeting with Bubs. You'll be receiving 400 credits (200 that was promised to you, and 200 more as a bonus).
I suggest you take a look at any recently found loot. Perhaps it can be sold or otherwise divided.

Yoromishtali |

Once back at his place, Yoromishtali performs a ritual to add the second tooth to his doshko. “The Tooth That Seeks Honor.” Part meditation and part recitation of vows that were ancient before the Gap, the vesk films it for his channel. Afterward dinner, he edits the videos together, adding a voice-over to explain cultural aspects to non-vesk. He also writes letters to his parents and grandmother about reaching this stage in his understanding of the doshko.

There is a small case with an interesting statue that is probably created by skilled elven artisans on Castrovel. It could be valuable. There is also a small box with a dermal stapler and a brown nanite hypopen. Finally, here is a set of thieve's tools
In front of you is the Djinni mirage. It's rear cargo door is visible, though closed at the moment.
BEFORE YOU CONSIDER ENTERING:
You all suddenly feel more inspired and competent.
You are all now level two. Level up over the next two days. We will resume exploration of the Djinni Mirage Tuesday evening.
Apologies, I got it mixed in with the stapler.
Oh dear, there's no credit value listed. Does this call for a Culture roll to find an appropriate value and Fixer?

I'll be wrapping this up with Bubs tomorrow (and by wrapping up, I just mean FOR NOW--there maybe a chance to meet him again later).
MEANWHILE, I propose the following as far as putting cash in your hands.
The statue, some other loot (including the UPB's, etc.), and Bub's reward are quite a haul. Should you sell the statue, you would each have 1,500 credits total (again, this includes everything).
You may keep any loot that interests you (like the hypopen, dermal stapler, thieves tools, etc.). Otherwise it is sold.
That should be enough for at least two good pieces of 2nd level gear, or maybe a single third level item (plus a few odds and ends).
The other group is finishing their final encounter. I have informed them of my idea to get everyone over to the L7 for a celebration.

Chiaiese |

I came in to this party late, so whatever the rest of y'all want to do with the loot is fine by me. I don't deserve a full share, if you prefer to split it up based on the players' investment in the campaign. Chiaiese doesn't need alot.

Tremox Soshi |

Everyone, my apologies, but I am going to depart this game. I'm finding myself spread a bit thin and needing to get some of my time back. I have enjoyed the story and I think this is a good time for Moxie to take his leave. I hope you all continue to have fun with this! Thanks for the game, GM Quirk!

GM Quirk |

Yes, Tremox, I totally understand. I'm thankful we had you for this adventure. Since you're in my other game, I will keep you in the loop as far as this one goes.
Had some minor stresses the past couple of days. Hoping to really dig into my games tonight when I sit down in my man-cave.
As far as you guys go, I need the other group to wrap up, then we'll see what happens. I'll probably create a new game for the "L7 Bar and Grill".

GM Quirk |

Sort of.
Right now I am going to start with a new event/new game play thread where everyone (this group and the other group) interact within Lon's L7 Bar and Grill. There will also be a myriad of NPC's there. There could be prompts for further adventures. Some of this may sort itself out. It's an opportunity for there to be a sandbox where Anton plots his own course within this section of Absalom Station.
PLUS: bar fights! Well...maybe...

Chiaiese |

I added 1500 credits to inventory but I don't plan on buying anything right now.

Chiaiese |

Good idea. The MK 1 upgrade for +2 INT gives me 1 more 1st level spell/day. That's the ticket.
I may get a couple healing serums too.

Chiaiese |

Added the Mk1 boost to INT, Gets me another 1st lvl spell use / day and an extra RP, in addition to skill bumps. Thanks for the idea, Anton! Picked up 3 mk1 Serums of healing, too.

So, the other group continues to wrap things up. They're close. They're talking to station security right now, which is really the final scene.
I have had a busy weekend with work (I work one weekend a month, and this was it--it was a crazy weekend, but it went well).
My plan still is to create another game thread for the L7 Bar and Grill section. Everyone in the other group is on board.
I have a busy weekend with Paizocon in two weeks, but next weekend looks good.
I am also prepping some games for work. You see, I'm a professional dungeon master now...
I work at a large downtown library. I'll be running D&D Tuesday nights with our teen department.
Yes, my boss is paying me. That means my amateur status is in questions! :)
Luckily, I do have two Starfinder Society games here that will be ending in the next 10 days.
This is going to work well.

GM Quirk |

Bump?
Fair enough.
Honestly, I have had some frustration lately. Not only was I busy with Paizocon, but I have a couple of other worries right now--one good thing, and one bad thing.
1. I have been experiencing some moderate shoulder pain. My assumption is that it's arthritic. Well...that makes it hard for me to type and write, despite my best intentions. The set up for the first scene requires me to have a fair amount of notes on several NPC's and their secrets, and in the evening my shoulder and arm have not been up to it.
2. Here's a good thing: I work for a fairly large library system. I am running Dungeons and Dragons for our teen department each Tuesday. As my wife astutely pointed out, I am now a professional Dungeon Master! This requires some work each week.
Bottomline: let me make some decisions on what to do here. We may need to come up with a plan B--something I can do some copy and pasting from to give you all a good experience while my shoulder heals. Obviously this may mean an AP. I'm interested in your feelings on this matter. I'll be making a similar post in the other group.

GM Quirk |

I have been running the Threefold Conspiracy with a PbP group here. We're well into book 2. Can I guarantee we can get through 6 books? No? But I think there are AP's that can be a satisfying story between 1 and three books. I'd love you all to keep these characters you have been playing, though I think there would be an option make a change based on the AP.

GM Quirk |

Let me suggest that the three of you who are still interested in continuing in some way head on over to the other group HERE and we can discuss which way we are going to head. Feel free to introduce yourself. Let's see, I think Anton, Chiaiese, and Yoro are still in for some gaming.
There are 5 in the other group.
We'll figure something out.
IF we go with an AP or the upcoming Junker's Delight, I see no reason why you can't keep your characters if you would like...ANYWAY, we'll discuss it more at the other group.
