Krokkin
Krokkin eyes Sorogar askance at the poke and then laughs.
Maybe we have to say something to make it work. Something Like "The force field is with me", he holds out his hand that the ring is on in a fist, "I am one with the force field".
Seeing nothing apparently happen he snorts and goes back to grabbing a bit more food.
At Brek's Oratory, Krokkin responds, That all sounds complicated. I think I will focus on tracking the dishonest one.
Brek of Unknown House
Brek shrugs as the others say their piece.
"Let us retire for the night then once we meet the leaders then we can adjust as we go."
Ohimè S’adel
Ohime will agree that they should get some rest, and without even changing, she just crawls into her bed and is asleep within seconds. Initially, she is on her belly, but then due to its larger size, she feels discomfort and will roll to her side. There, she will not move until morning.
Herkymr the Silly
The night passes uneventfully. The council summons you about midday to the large enclosed area that is void of all villagers and only the councilors are present with a few others.
The council begins with some minor disputes and then quickly ends up with Prissterica presenting his request for absorbing the 13th tribe into Wer Ilache . The discussion quickly becomes heated and after about an hour of discussion, the decision is to table the matter till the next meeting in 1 month.
At last your group is motioned forward and informed to present the argument and proposal for trade. The members of the individual tribes have a variety of responses to you.
First- Waginn of Wer Ilache sits back in a defensive stance crossing his arms and glaring at Brek. Brek remembers from the journal that Prissterica was an apprentice to Waginn for a while until showing a proclivity to magic.
Mother Pria looks at you with curiosity and interest especially at the mention of healing training and help. She mentions things quietly to Terisli of the beast bloods seated on her left. Terisli responds but his eyes ever watchful do not leave Krokkin alone.
The Marshal of clan Artyss Caex leans somewhat forward intently listening but occasionally glancing at Waginn seated on the far right of him.The old Fellow of Wer Odadi seated on the immediate right seems to be sleeping or dozing off. He is quite venerable in appearance but occasionally his open with a bright intensity that belies their apparent age. This gaze seems to hoover over Brujah and Sorogar but he doesn’t exclude Ohime in the glances.
The others have a variety of attention span to your presentations and negotiation. Waginn finally speaks up after the debate has went on for 30 minutes or so and address’ your group directly.
I will support you if you drop the accusations that I hear you have against Prissterica. If not, you will not get my vote. He waits glaring down at you as if trying to intimidate each one of you individually.
Ohimè S’adel
Ohime is glad that most of them will be focusing on others as she openly shares their intentions along with her companions speaking at key moments.
As Waginn speaks, she stands by her friends, but will not answer to him. She was not at the fight and didn't see it. She does trust what Brek saw though. What she does have is what her bird told her last night. If there were anythings of interest that Prissterica did that would bring implications on him more than what he did at the fight, she will not reveal it.
I'll leave that reveal up to you because you didn't say what her birdy found out in following the mage.
Ohime will, however, not reveal that she has a familiar, and if anything, she will word it as if she were a diviner able to see these things--yet will not claim to be one.
Brek of Unknown House
"We might consider dropping those accusations that has being brought up against Prissterica if you will explain why we should." answers Brek indifferently.
His own eyes turning sharp as he returns the glare at full force.
Intimidate, Don't glare at me I'll glare back. Not looking to scare him or anything but to show we aren't pushovers. Please dice bots.... 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
With that said, Brek turns to his audience.
Here goes...
Sense Motive, lukewarm? Cold? as a gauge. 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Diplomacy 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Turning to the assembled elders with a much warmer gaze Brek begins addressing each of them in their concerns.
"We are representatives of a trading concern that wishes to establish trade routes through the land and this brings us pass the lands that you inhabit. There are many benefits to this as you can tell that the power supporting this is vast and has by itself many goods and potential interests to share with your tribes. Alchemical potions to help salve burns, treat illness and magical potions created that may help with more serious injuries." he pauses.
"Perhaps weapons made of stronger materials other then the starmetal that is used. Tools such as nets, and easy to setup tents. More varieties of plants and herbs that could be brought over to see if they could be grown on your lands. The sharing of lore between those who preside over nature." Brek further expounds on agricultural advancements that the village could use.
"Perhaps your more enthusiastic youngsters seeking to temper themselves and see the world beyond might wish to join the caravan guards or more. They can learn and pick up other fighting skills that can be taught to your tribes. It may even draw others that be interested in combating the undead plaguing some of your lands."
Brek gives them some time to digest this.
"Most of all, as we understand that this is a big decision much of what I speak as you will already have known will bring far more benefits to your people as a whole."
Brek finishes his rather impromptu plea and steps back to see how they would response.
Sorogar Twintusk
Sorogar bows to each of the council members and listens to the entirre debate. She particularly watches Prissterica's reaction and tries to look for signs of subtle spellcasting. When the old fellow of Wer Odadi looks at her she bows her head in reverence.
But when Prissterica's apprentice speaks up, Sorogar blinks at the rather brazen request. "Prissterica might be innocent. However, his behavior has been viewed by many as suspicious. Until he has been investigated further, it seems foolish to put these concerns aside beforehand. Surely a tribal leader such as yourself sees wisdom in this logic?"
Herkymr the Silly
The councilors seem to nod heads in agreement for the most part as they listen to Brek.
Waggin slowly stops his staring and waits to see what is decided.
After a few minutes and after Sorogar finishes, he speaks answering the question that Brek possed,
Prisssterica is a member of our tribe in good standing and the supposed accusations come from outsiders who could damage my Wer's reputation. If it relies upon your word vs. Presssterica's then I believe we should stick with those we know rather than those from outsiders whom we only have their word they are trustworthy. I say give them a task to prove their worthiness and honesty to the council then discuss this trade proposal. Give them a spirit seek or have them accomplish some other hard and worthy task.
Krokkin
Krokkin who has stayed silent the entire time finally speaks up.
That is the type of thinking that will cause you to be enslaved by your enemy. When the battle comes with outsiders, those groups to stick to their own are the first to be overrun because they were blind to the threat until the threat was upon them. They will not have the network of relationships that will allow them to get part of something greater than they are.
He pauses for a moment looking directly back at Waggin.
I have long spoken to my elders about this very topic. A true warrior is only ready for any challenge when they are willing into to step into the unknown with open eyes and a humble yet confident heart.
Sorogar Twintusk
"I stand with Brek and Krokkin. However, if the council requires us to complete a task to prove our worth, I will abide by it. What would the council's collective wisdom deem the most fair and worthy challenge?"
She looks over each of the council members expectantly.
...And hopes the decision did not fall on Prissterica's ex-student alone.
Ohimè S’adel
"I agree, and we would consent to a Spirit Seek or trial. If you wish to consult together on what you feel should be done concerning us, please, voice your intent. We can wait in the rooms adjacent if willing."
She will bow respectfully, but if she were shy before in other situations, she doesn't appear to be so here.
Herkymr the Silly
Terisli and the Marshal stand and begin speaking at the same time. The marshal increases his volume until Terisli sit back down shaking his head in defiance and irritation.
I say they cleanout the scrag den that has been plaguing us. THat will show their good intent and their battle prowess. And if the scrags hide it will show how well they track and plan. All these show an ability that is valued among us the kin.
Instantly there is a sound of assent from most of the others.
Prisssterica can show them the path to the den and then he can watch to make sure it is them that does the task.Waginn speaks up over the others. Several look a little taken back by this rudeness and by the suggestion that your group isn't trustworthy to do it without a witness.
Crissstalai speak out in anger Waginn what are you suggesting? They are my guests, scrags are my problem. I don't mind them helping but the responsibility shouldn't be on them alone. They don't need minders but could probably use some help or atleast be given supplies.
Waginn grins at this and so the the Several. The several begin to speak They have already caused you to go against council structure Crissstalai for you speak when you should be listening and thinking. I think you are scared of them failing on Waginn's terms. I think we should allow the terms just because you chose to disallow the council structure to be held up and thus also broke tradition.
Ohimè S’adel
"We have been through many trials together. We will not fail if this is what the council deems for us to accomplish, however, I would respectfully ask the council--on the basis of the truth being represented--that at the minimum, three other witnesses from three other tribes come along to verify the accuracy of the report of our deeds. Prissterica has been accused and witnessed by those here as having done deeds you say he didn't do. If that is true, his word can be trusted, however, if my allies are correct in their words, Prisssterica cannot be trusted as a credible witness toward our actions. We are his accusers. Multiple witnesses will ensure the truth is upheld."
Brek of Unknown House
"It is also clear that by sending Prissterica it can be said that Waginn intends for us to fail since we have accused Prissterica of deeds which have being denied by Waggin." Brek grins as he says this, catching the looks of the others.
"Since we are to have minders, then would each tribe provide one as well to ensure that we are after all performing this task as required."
Herkymr the Silly
The Several speak up Would you accept divination or clairvoyance spell on you via magic item? We could then observe without having the chance to interfere. Thus when you fail you do it all on your own. The Several chuckles at this prospect. The voice of their cloaked figure seems to echo multiple voices laughing.
If you feel unable to do handle it yourself or feel you may need assistance, we can send three observers from the Marshal's group, thus fighters if you need them. Waginn says derisively.
Prisssterica speaks up I will be willing to be a witness if the council deems it well. Where these uninitiated are accusing me I would stay back as well if the council deems it well.I do want to observe their failure though.
Ohimè S’adel
"If divination is possible, then Prisssterica does not even need to go. He can take part in the remote viewing and observe our success or failure from here. We can go it alone with good directions. Or, if impossible to find, I'm sure there is someone else here who can show us the way and then can return to you. This seems to be a well-known place among you all. If we can do it, fine, if not, then we will retreat. My only concern is interference. As it stands, I am not doing anything with Prisssterica present unless many eyes are on him. He has, evidently, threatened us and is accused of manipulating a battle. Magics can be cast without even being seen sometimes. I'd rather not even have him in the equation."
Sorogar Twintusk
Sorogar eyes Prissterica from the middle of the room. "We will take and succeed at this trial. However, as the ninth Shaman of my tribe, I must judge fairly and speak truths some might not want to hear. First, while I don't know the extent of these sentiments among the council, we've been informed that you have the suspicion of at least one tribe, and I directly noticed you attempting to influence a one-on-one honor duel with magic, which you knew was against the tribal rules in multiple ways."
She crosses her arms. "Since you have already demonstrated not placing much value in these matters of honor, and have spoken degratingly of this very council's authority to everyone present at the battle site, I feel comfortable in admitting that I don't trust you. Like my companion, I would much prefer if he does not follow to most likely sabotage our efforts. I am, however, in favor of the observers from other clans."
Brek of Unknown House
I suspected as much. Brek has more or less his suspicions confirmed as he looks at the council members decision and who leads the quest giving.
"Cast your divination on your item, we'll carry it. The less possible interference the better. We'll be left to our own devices and of course any other obstacles will be overcome by us then."
He shrugs.
"It's also clear why you disparage the council so." aiming that last bit towards Prissterica.
Krokkin
Krokkin continues to listen to the conversation but continues to stay quiet and watching Prisssterica. As brek finishes speaking for the second time he starts slowing tapping his foot releasing some of the frustration tension of the meeting.
Herkymr the Silly
The council briefly debates the options of having you take the quest or not. Finally, the Several speak again
We have decided that you shall bring the head of the scrag leader to us. This will fulfill the agreement at which time you may bring charges against Prisssterica if you see fit and we will ratify a trade agreement that will be mutually beneficial. If you fail it just goes to show that the fire mother didn't agree with helping you in any of your endeavors.
The Marshall speaks up as the Several finish. There will be three witnesses and you may pick them except for those in Rissitui's tribe or the 13th. They are already predisposed to you. Prisssterica will be disqualified as a witness because of her predilection against you. Will this leave all satisfied? These witnesses will take you to where the scrags have been plaguing us. They will not interfere. We will be placing a clairvoyance spell on each of you to witness your actions. Wer Odadi will take care of the spells. Is tomorrow afternoon to soon for you to be ready?
Ohimè S’adel
Ohime looks to her companions, "I think that sounds good to me. Is there anything else?"
Sorogar Twintusk
Sorogar bows deeply. "If possible, I would request a full day to prepare and leave the day after tomorrow. I would rather go well-stocked and armed with knowledge on the land and our foes rather than rushing headlong into them."
Gives me just barely enough time to craft a +5 heal skill glove, but I'd imagine we want to see how the adamantine refining is going, along with buying any other low level materials we haven't thought of yet. Or maybe something important will come up when we start asking around for what a scrag is?
Ohimè S’adel
Sounds good to me!
Krokkin
Preparation then, krokkin responds and waits to be released from the meeting. Once it is over krokkin heads back with the group to where we are staying and listens to the conversation before going to bed but does not participate much in it.
Brek of Unknown House
"In that case." Brek responds.
"For witnesses, I would request from the following then. " Brek first bows towards the leader of the Wer Odadi
"I humbly request that the Wer Odadi sends a representative."
He then turns to another and repeats the same movement.
"To you would I humbly request the same from the Wer Fueryon Iejir"
And finally to the last
"Would the Wer Dask Svih grant our request to have a witness from your tribe to be assigned to watch over and witness our Success or Failure? "
Herkymr the Silly
Odadi replies with a nod and a chuckle.Well chosen. The druidic order, the beastbloods, and the mother tribe. Not all alliances but all with much to gain should you succeed. Also not the most apt to cause issues or interfere either way. Well constructed request young one. You are wise beyond understanding.
The tribe councilors end the tribe at this point and meld out into the community.
Crisstilai approaches You may also choose to do the spirit seek when you are done. ONe will prove your value as allies one will accept you as another clan in context. Something to think on. He motions for one of the littler children nearby and instructs them to lead you to the craftsman and artisans of the village. He then strides off toward Mother Matrisssce's to most likely discuss the events of the day.
Sorogar Twintusk
Sorogar nods at Brek, impressed. He seemed to have a keen diplomatic mind and had the details on the tribal relations very well memorized, especially for the short time they had to study!
As the warrior brings up the spirit seek again, Sorogar raises a question of her own. "Crisstilai, could you explain to me what exactly a spirit seek entails? I believe it was binding a new spirit to me that could be beneficial to the village, is that correct? And any spirit will do? Is there anything more to this, rules or such I should know?"
Ohimè S’adel
"We thank the council for your kindness and patience in these manners. We hope that we can all come together in the future under one mindset and share a good relationship with you all."
Ohime is minded in more convincing things than the intrigue or diplomatic mindset of nobility and how they interact. She can get by, but Brek seems to do a better job than she would. That doesn't mean that she doesn't pay attention to how he utilized the journal to their advantage. She will have to thank Mother Matrisssce for that later. In the meantime, once the council has meandered off, she turns to Brek.
"You did far better than I did in sorting all of that out. I'm impressed. Good job, Brek. Have you ever thought of a life working in a court as a diplomat?"
She will wait to hear the answer of Sorogar's question, as the Spirit Seek is a new concept to her as well. Even Sorogar finding various spirits willing to help her is foreign. Ohime just infuses her own power into her familiar and it becomes a powerful ally. As a bard, she must know the secret behind this event.
Herkymr the Silly
1 person marked this as a favorite.
A spirit seek is an inner search or sometimes a physical journey to make a connection with something “bigger” than you. It forms a bond and a curse between 2 or more creatures. Elemental, celestial, abyssal, and other beings are common connections. The great dragon mother has bonded with a few as well. Rissstui has bonded one but he shares little of that bonding. He always knows where the next starfall will be and which of the stones are starmetal laden. He tells me he has a curse from it as well but won’t speak further.
I believe Mother has bonded a being though she keeps such things private. I only suspect though as she is seen as one of the tribe in most things. I know she draws her oracular powers from waters surrounding the three fold home.
Usually one approaches the elders of the tribe and is assisted into a trance where they either make contact with their spirit or are given direction as to where they must go to complete their spirit seek. Each recipient is also marked in some visible way to represent the bond that is created.
For our smith his hands are permanently the color of the starmetal. He made a connection with a greater magmin from the elemental plane of fire. Other’s markings are more subtle but remain a visible reminder of their seek and the struggle and bond therein.
Each seek is done differently and most are done individually instead of as a group. However, in times of great needs groups bonded to each other already have undertaken a spirit seek as a single entity. These usually result in an intelligent and immortal being being connected to.
Each council member is required to complete a seek and show forth benefit to the clans before they can become one of the council. That is why we hold as much clout as we do. The largest group of tribesman that commonly and customarily meet together that are all guided by spirits is the council. The smith’s and the healer’s are two of the other larger guided groups. Getting a group of those that have completed their seeks is difficult in the least. One thing that is certain is that the result of the seek is always a blessing to the collective tribe in some way. What you share and if you share are your decision. Other’s that have completed their search always know those that have completed one as well. It is a “brotherhood” or “sisterhood” of a sorts. He explains taking his time as you walk.
Have you considered what Mother asked you last night? I know she will be wanting an answer before you go.
Brek of Unknown House
Brek lets out a breath of relief as he bows to Odadi in response to his praise.
They are finally done!
He had guessed based on the journal but his guesses were mostly fine. He did not expect that The Several would align themselves with Wagin. The tribunate might prove a hard one to crack.
He acknowledges the others praise though he admits.
"It was tiring and a lot of it was conjectured from the journal. I'm curious though why was Crisstilai supposedly penalize for speaking out of turn? Was there another rule we are not aware off? The Several, Marshall and Wggin certainty seems to be hand in hand with each other." he pauses to arrange his thoughts.
"I was sure that The several would be receptive to the idea of having the Undead cleared from their lands but now I'm not so sure."
"I was supposed to be inserted in court with the training I was given as part of Noble retinue but since I fled, that has not come to past." he answers Ohime.
Brek though is interested in this Spirt Seek they were discussing about though.
"What if One fails the Spirit Seek?" he asks.
Sorogar Twintusk
"I see. Thank you, Crisstilai, for the detailed explanation. The process does not sound that different from what my village's shamans use for their bindings. I went through one for my coming of age ceremony... and a recent one where I found my spirit wolf," Sorogar muses, thinking on the prospect of having to perform such a task, and which spirit would be the best target for the least amount of danger. "Out of curiosity, which spirit would be regarded as the most impressive one to bind? Is that Kuraderi herself, or are there others in similar standing?"
After receiving an answer, she realises she never answered one of his own questions herself. "I apologize, but which specific question of the Mother are you referring to? If it's her proposal to investigate Prissterica, we've already agreed to it. If it was a different one, it was a very long conversation we had and many questions were asked."
Sorry, but it *was* a lot ot text and not that easy to read back through. What question do we still need to answer? Can't find it quickly.
Herkymr the Silly
You got it the one about Prisssterica.
You may call any spirit you wish but they don't have to answer and the more powerful it is the more potential for something going wrong. Bonding a dragon or some such would be most impressive but anything that ties to our lineage is see as high standing.
States the lizardfolk.
Ohimè S’adel
Evidently it ate my post and I didn't realize...
She looks to Brek and smiles with squinted happy eyes. "Maybe you can be a noble here? Chief diplomat!" she chuckles delightfully with a tilt of her head.
"I am not interested in being cursed," she will volunteer plainly and is clear in her decision. "If you want to do a spirit seek, I will help, but I will not take part in the boon."
She has confessed to the party how her life has been under her curse and she has not liked it, nor has she received any great gift either. Perhaps it will come in time but she hates the idea of voluntarily accepting curses. Because she doesn't wish to offend Crissstilai who seems to honor these cursed individuals, she keeps her mouth shut on the matter. Her hand, however, will subconsciously move to her birthmark.
Brek of Unknown House
Brek shudders.
"I'd rather not." as he remembers a certain zealot....
"I'm of two minds with the spirit seek but I'm afraid I might call upon the one Divine being I have rejected and fled from."
Ohimè S’adel
Hearing Brek's concerns, she nods, making a mental note not to push him in that path. When someone shudders as you mention something, there is extreme hatred there for the idea. She instead decides to pick on Sorogar concerning the Spirit Seek.
"Well...if anyone has a way with spirits, it's you Sorogar. You should do it. Maybe you'll meet another sassy wolf or cute bat!"
Sorogar Twintusk
Brek shudders. "I'm of two minds with the spirit seek but I'm afraid I might call upon the one Divine being I have rejected and fled from."
"A divine being you turned away from...? Which one do you speak of?" Sorogar asks, intrigued.
When Ohime prods, she smiles. " I wonder what sort of personality my new spirit would have. Accounts of their character varies throughout the decades, even if it's supposedly the same spirit. Perhaps different binders can only bind a certain aspect of the Grand Spirit at a time, though there have never been enough Shamans at once to confirm this theory."
Then looks around to the hut of where the council was held. "If my suspicions are correct, the scale in that building might have come from Kuraderi herself. It has a very strong spiritual presence. But... binding her is very dangerous, and probably best done outside the village. As far as I can tell, all who've attempted to bind her were burned to ash during the rite. The only reason I think we might have a chance is Brek's control over fire, and having it heal instead of injure... but that's a gamble we might pay dearly for."
Outside the hut, she makes a warding gesture and a quick prayer to the Skyfather, then continues. "I think binding the Water spirit, Rada Legba, might be less dangerous, but still valuable to a tribe adjacent to water. He's been described as an eternally young trickster, though, and the price for a pact with him would varies wildly. Sometimes it ends up very different than what the words suggest. Mohvah's price was allowing his pack to eat my body when my time is up. But for all his snarkyness, he is honest, at least."
Brek of Unknown House
Oh?" Brek turns in response to Sorogar.
"All my life I've being taught only his scriptures, to venerate and know only him until I broke away. I do not know any other divine being, existence or even their concept until I did. They are content to cause and revel in the pain and misery they are able to inflict upon their corner of Golarion. As an ordered faith, however, each sect has a clearly-defined hierarchy, based on physical power, endurance, willingness and ability to endure pain, and similar elements related to church practices. Their Faith?" here he pauses as he shudders, remembering the heavy price that was paid to release him. His friends and closest things he had as a family extinguished. The pain of that shows briefly on his face.
"Zon-Kuthon." He looks disgusted at himself for even saying the name.
"Before I was this Brek, I was another and I do not want to be that Brek though it keeps breaking out at times." he continues his pace.
"So I travel and each time I do, I learn more about other gods and spirits I never knew about. Which may explain why I anger their devoted so." he laughs helplessly.
"Enough about this, It pains me in ways I cannot explain properly. I would like to know more about these Scrags we are about to engage. Their numbers, habits and such."
Ohimè S’adel
Brek mentions Zon-Kuthon and she holds her hands about her waist a little tighter. It's hard to tell if this is from his pain, or hers. As he finishes, she sympathetically will reach out to take his hand. Even if briefly to squeeze and return to him. If he doesn't mind her holding his hand, she will scooch close to him and bump her hip into his as if trying to distract him with a smile. They, after all, have been travling along for such a distance that she feels more comfortable with him and the others--a far cry from where she once was.
"So you prefer Scrags over Undead Murderer Gods. We need to get you a girl." Then flipping to a more serious tone, she will nod to affirm his wants. "I'm sure the ones showing us where the cave is will know about what they are and such. If not, we can ask in the morning."
The next day, Ohime will check on the forged materials, and if ready, will deliver them to her friends. She would wish to peruse the local weapon dealer to see if they had some sort of upgrade to her crossbow, but without adamantine chips, she was unsure how she can afford such a tool.
Sorogar Twintusk
The day of the council meeting, wrapping up.
Sorogar's features soften as the implies horrors of living in a Zon-Kuthon cult shine through in Brek's tale. "I... apologize. It wasn't my intent to dredge up painful memories. While the name of that god means nothing to me, I can guess I'm probably better off not knowing."
She places a hesitant hand on Brek's shoulder as a show of support, and is grateful for Ohime's attempt at humor to lighten the mood. "I don't think Brek needs any help getting a woman. He was trained in seduction techniques, after all, right? You still have to show those some time, or I'm calling it pure bluff."
She playfully pokes him in the side, then glances at the party's barbarian. "What about you, Krokkin? Think you can outcharm Brek if it comes down to it?" she asks, grinning.
The day after, preparations.
After a good night's sleep, Sorogar heads off to the village's market to trade in the magical armor they received from the Rakshasha captain way back. Since gold wasn't a viable trading currency, she instead goes for adamantine as a local alternative.
I believe the glamoured leather armor was worth around 9100 gold as Ohime once checked, if we get half the value in trading goods then everyone has roughly 1125 gold. Sorogar will add the rest from her personal gold to get the 1250 material requirement to craft a pair of healer's gloves (I'll make a detailed post on it romorrow). Though on the party funds, perhaps someone skilled in haggling could get us more than the default amount?
Krokkin
the following day Krokkin wanders the camp for a while by himself after getting his new armor from Ohime and finds a less busy area near the edge. He begins to run thru his exercises to help him stay loose and strong. As he gets lost in the motions, a small crowd of children begins to gather around watching and trying to imitate his moves. They laugh when they fall and exclaim when they can perform the moves. He notices the noise after a bit and decides to have a little fun. He drops to a pushup position and then after a few seconds looks over and winks at the children who are also in the position. Each time he returns to the up position he looks at the kids to see if they have completed the motion. He then does another once they are all in position.
After 10 he jumps up to his feet and wiggles his arms for a couple of seconds and then drops back down. He is surprised at how many of the children are still with him as he completes his 50th push-up. Even more surprising he notices that some of the older youth have joined the mix almost racing to the next move before him.
This goes on for about 10 minutes as he switches from form to form. Eventually, a couple of parents show up and chase the youth away. Krokkin then moves onto sword forms and smiles when he notices that many of the adult lizardfolk have stopped to watch and a couple are trying to mimic the moves but in a way that will not get them noticed.
Krokkin
Upon returning to the group he finds Ohime.
Thank you for getting this made. He taps his new armor. The craftsmanship is excellent and I am able to move more freely.
He finds Sorogar a little later in the day.
I have not considered ever having a spirit creature until watching you and Ohime. If you need help on the spirit seek I am willing to join you. I do not believe that I would be granted a spirit like a star monarch but if I were to help you I could see and learn before I try for my own.
Krokkin
The day of the council meeting, wrapping up.
She playfully pokes him in the side, then glances at the party's barbarian. "What about you, Krokkin? Think you can outcharm Brek if it comes down to it?" she asks, grinning.
Krokkin flexes his muscles and gives his best toothy grin. I can be very charming. Just don't expect me to be good at subtly and intrigue. I like physical games rather than mental.

I believe the glamoured leather armor was worth around 9100 gold as Ohime once checked, if we get half the value in trading goods then everyone has roughly 1125 gold. Sorogar will add the rest from her personal gold to get the 1250 material requirement to craft a pair of healer's gloves (I'll make a detailed post on it tomorrow). Though on the party funds, perhaps someone skilled in haggling could get us more than the default amount?
That is about what I figured. take 1200 gp each and we will forgo playing the haggling.
@ all from much earlier post with ohime and the smith (took liberty of figuring out a fair price in my opinion for the items if they don’t feel fair lets discuss it in discussion thread.) ::
I will make you a dozen bolts with the heads without charging you in exchange for the help you have given. As for the others, the quarterstaff (can’t be made from wood item there for will need ironwood first. So with that and you providing materials say 2000 gp or 3hrs time) is fairly easy, except for the balancing of it. Your companion may pay for it in time or money. The chainmail (10500 gp before you provided the metal. So let’s say 5000 after materials or roughly say 8 hrs of time.) is difficult and will take a while to pull and bend. I can do it but he will have to spend equal time in my service..
The smith is ready with the items upon your return.

"Oh right!" she nods with Sorogar, having forgotten already about his training. When Sorogar turns the conversation to Krokkin, she will make a playful meow at Krokkin's romantic threats with a giggle.
The next day
"It is quite excellent," she grins to Krokkin while taking a close look at it and how it sits on his frame. "I'm glad they were able to use the techniques I showed the blacksmith and his son. In time, he may be able to make something even better for you."
Ohime didn't mention the service to her companions, but when she goes to pick up the order, she will put herself into the blacksmith's service for their time. She has spent time in bondage before, even if this is not akin to it, she will do whatever tasks the blacksmith desires. While the others will be haggling and working out deals in preparation for their trip, she will not be found due to this work. Her birdy, however, will fly between her companions and then occasionally will report to her. It also will fly (keeping a long distance away) to wherever Prisssterica is. If he leaves the village, her birdy will come to alert Ohime.

Although Brek flinches at the sudden contact, he doesn't pull away from the women's gesture of comfort.
"I have being trained in seduction techniques yes, as well as other more esoteric methods involving whips. That particular gods loves to place more emphasis on pain."
On the other hand, Brek uses his silver tongue in an attempt to gather more information on the Scrags.
Diplomacy, gather information, +2 for being Affable and gather in half the time needed. 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 + 2 = 25
Brek also seeks to trade for a wand of Mage Armor.

Brek is able to find an old traveler that has a wand of mage armor they are willing to trade. Upon inspection it is discovered it only has 20 charges so it has been used. (level 3 caster cost 300 gp) He also has a wand of magic missile with 20 charges (300 gp, ( 1 missile d4+2 damage) that he is willing to part with. He claims to have found these in the lair of a wyvern in his younger years.

"Eughhh...that doesn't sound fun at all. I prefer a gentle, sweet touch," she replies in a pious way with high inflections in her tone. "Confidence is a must. Respect. Patience. I know that is rare for a bard."
Bards seemingly having a reputation in many circles for sleeping with anything and everything. Clearly, the serpentine woman before them is not like that.
-----------
If she has a moment, she will take a break from work to go sell her emerald to the store. While she does wish for an enchantment upon her weaponry, she doesn't have enough money so she will save it in the meantime.
Brek of Unknown House
Brek is thrilled to find someone with the item he sought. Finding that the old traveler had another magical item was even better.
With a bit of haggling, the two would come to a deal.
I would get the Wand of mage Armor since it's at 3rd caster level which means 3 hours worth.
The wand of magic missile is it 3rd caster level as well?
I'm buying both so that's 600gp spent for me.
Once back with the group, he shares with them on what he's learnt.
"Does anyone know how we can stop their regeneration?"
