Gazigaz enthusiastically points out a way for his allies to get em on the light strand and attempts to shoot it but it slithers out of the way of the shot.

Alright, guys, we could use a little teamwork here. Succeeding on an Engineering/Mysticism check just makes the strand flat footed, which doesn't do any good if they aren't actually getting damaged or a grapple check isn't being made against it. The checks to break the grapple are very high. But this is Starfinder, and level appropriate enemies have level-appropriate AC based on their challenge rating.

Move to Get 'Em on the Banner.

Nako's new found nihilism doesn't mesh well with her innate helpfulness and cheerfulness which drives her into a rage. She attacks the banner holding Dakoyo with in a frenzy.

Nako finds the spirit of the warrior within and ferociously slashes and the banner, tearing it to smoldering shreds and freeing the beleaguered Dakoyo! She then uses that momentum to deliver a fierce strike on the colorful ribbons wrapped around Gazigaz, its fibers barely holding together!

Quonx and Nako tear the light strand to bits of non-animated plastic. wires, and colored LEDS!

The assembled festival goers cheer but the elated collective mood darkens as bystanders approach the unmoving body of the aquamarine furred skittermander. Attempts to revive her are unsuccessful, a somber hush falls over those nearby.

But chaos still reigns within Central Common and the crew of Nakonechkin Salvage are alerted to the nearby sounds of more festival-goers crying out for help. There is no time to rest as the pleas lead them to a wide area between two stalls...


Event 2: Armor Clash

As the heroes approach the merchant area where they hear the loudest sounds of danger, a pahtra runs in the opposite direction shouting.

The armor! The armor just came to life! Run!!

Another surprised shout echoes from ahead where a merchant stall with the name "Steelclaw Armory" has a vesk laying on the ground under a pair of heavy mannequins. She sees the approaching skittermanders and weakly tries to wave them away for their own safety.

Just then, a suit of armor crafted in the malevolent style of the infamous Hellknights steps forward toward the prone vesk. Quonx's keen mechanic eye notes the slight sheen of infused nanites prompting its movements. The armor lifts its arm with a built in energy weapon towards the vesk!

Heroes? Help!

Nako smirks at the fleeing Pahtra, "Scaredy cat." and rushes the (holy) self ambulatory armor (batman!), striking with her Dashko.

He then moves in the heal the Vesk.

Armor Clash round 2

Dakoyo notes the similarities of this threat to Animated Lichtor Hellknight Plate Armor, a magical/technological construct. He then sends waves of healing energy by the divine grace of Ibra towards the vesk.

GM choice for 1 relevant piece of knowledge:
DEFENSES Resistance cold and fire 5; construct immunities- Constructs are immune to the following effects, unless the effect specifies that it works against constructs.
Bleed, death effects, disease, mind-affecting effects, necromancy effects, paralysis, poison, sleep, and stunning.
Ability damage, ability drain, energy drain, exhaustion, fatigue, negative levels, and nonlethal damage.
Any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect works on objects or is harmless).

The vesk's wounds close somewhat and as she comes back to consciousness, she notes the danger still present and quickly shuts her eyes again and lies still.

Gazigaz and Quonx's shots are direct hits. Nako's strike lands very savagely and precisely and had a living creature been inhabiting the armor, her attack would have had scored a deep hit but instead has no extra effect on the construct.

Quonx and Nako also note their damage did not burn the armor quite as much as it should have.

The animated armor's attention focuses squarely on Nako and it attempts to backhand the martial skittermander...
