Ferrun Munkustrap |

"I have an appetite for many things, especially meat, but I prefer to keep slimy things off my diet."
With the last boggard slain, Ferrun begins looking over the room for anything of interest.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Each of the boggards carries little more than their armor and weapon. Ferrun does find a strange looking wand made out of some particularly knotty wood. It also looks like the hall to east is totally blocked. It would take days to open it up.

Heyou! takes the time to make sure everyone is healed up, if needed. ”You all see? Me no catch ANY friends in bombs!”
far as I can tell we got out of that unscathed?

”Me can try, but maybe Kicsit and Chivivit be better at it? ”
About all I have is crafting

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Sir Holton spends 10 minutes Meaning anyone else is welcomed to refocus. He concludes that it's a wand of Noisome Acid
Level 6 wand. You cast a level 2 Acid Arrow. A creature that takes acid damage from this spell must succeed at a Fortitude save against your spell DC or become sickened 1.

Heyou! searches carefully around, and checks out the doors for safety. Appears to be doors to the north and east?

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

There is a door only to the north. The thing that looked like one to the east was a map template bleed over.

![]() |

Heyou! calls for everyone to gather around, and opens the door.
I moved the tokens.

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

This large room is lit by an enormous glowing sun symbol on the floor. The symbol is a loose spiral with eight triangles arranged around it like rays. The ceiling bears two holes, each about a foot in diameter. One is positioned directly above the center of the sun symbol on the floor, while the other is offset from it by about ten feet. Two large stone fonts in the southwest and southeast corners of the room bear clear, clean water. Double doors lead out to the south (where you stand now), east, and west.

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Ferrun moves to the water, and finds that it is truly clean and clear. It makes for a welcome break. The holes in the ceiling look too small for a medium sized creature, but with a little training, a small creature could easily squeeze through (provided they can get to it.)
The symbol on the floor is impressive....
You understand that this symbol is part of a network of power that can be activated, but not from here.
Did you crit? Then check out the spoiler below

![]() |

Curious as always, Heyou! attempts to climb up to the holes.
Athletics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
He then looks in.

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Heyou! scrambles up, and squeezes through the hole.
An enormous sun symbol carved into the floor of this room glows with a warm light. The symbol is a loose spiral with triangles surrounding it like rays. Two holes pierce the stone floor in the symbol, one at the symbol’s center and the other at the end of the sun-spiral. The walls are carved with intricate runes and myriad shapes of animalistic humanoid warriors, and it takes only a moment of examination to realize that these shapes represent the Pillar-Watchers around Kibwe. A raised dais at the far end of the room contains a pedestal for a statue, but no statue is present. MAP

![]() |

Heyou! turns back to look at the rest of the party. "Me find big room full of runes and stuff. All glowly and stuff! Pillar-Watchers of Kibwe! You should come up and in!"
Was this a Squeeze activity to get through?

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Ferrun can't make heads or tails of the massive rune on the floor.

Heyou! carefully sneaks in and looks around, searching for anything interesting. He'll also draw out the designs. (In his formula book, if no where else)

”Heyou! Do not get far ahead. None of us can fit through those holes. If you get in trouble, we cannot protect you.”.

Pazúr Sixclaw |

Sorry for the dismal participation of late, I've been slammed on the work and family front.
Pazúr looks up at the holes in the ceiling and remarks, "It's a shame none of us caught the illness that turns one into a slime, we'd be able to fit into those holes easily." Considering Heyou!'s description of the room above, Pazúr continues, "Seems like the two rooms are linked somehow, but I agree with Holton, we should stick together. Maybe we take a look at these doors that we can fit through and see where they lead us?"
He moves up to the eastern double door, taking care to avoid contact with the runes and to not walk directly below the holes in the ceiling.
Take a look at the double door to the east.

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Pazur checks the door, and can here voices on the other side, but they're too muffled to make out.

Heyou! runs up, and looks to Pazúr. With what could only be described as as a stage whisper, he asks. "You see or hear anything?"

Ferrun Munkustrap |

"It's a shame none of us caught the illness that turns one into a slime, we'd be able to fit into those holes easily."
"You may enjoy the idea of becoming a slime, but I personally prefer my furry self."
Ferrun joins Pazur and listens carefully at the door.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
"So, do you think this is the Archive of the Sun? I am wondering if the cursebreaker is nearby?"

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Door seems completely uninteresting to Ferrun.

Dungeon Master S - 2e |

Calling Heyou! back down to press on, Sir Holton boldly opens the door.
The east and west walls of this long room are covered with cubbies and shelves. A few scraps of leather and parchment remain, but most materials in this room have been heaped on the floor and slathered with mud to create a sodden nest. The south end of the room has collapsed and seems impassible. A large pool of blood and the remains of a messily-butchered carcass, both crawling with fat flies, rest near this collapse.
Towards the center of the room, a pair of the frog creatures talk between themselves. These two seem far less dimwitted than the last batch.
What really steals your attention is the lizard with them. This bright-eyed lizard is larger than a horse. As it hisses in anger, a brightly colored frill extends around its neck!
They don't take kindly to the fuzzy intrusion....

"OooOOoO! That lizard looks YUMMY!"

Pazúr Sixclaw |

Pazúr's eyes widen in alarm at the sight of the great creature, followed by a smile slowly crossing his face. "Another foe who can be tricked!" he exults as he darts forward! Getting close to the massive lizard, Pazúr swings a sharp claw towards the creature's eyes to distract it, then lashes out low with his other claw to slice at its gut!

Chiv's aim is way off, maybe he wasn't expecting THIS in such a small space.
Pazúr, however, has it dialed in. He feints one way, and when the lizard falls for it, he drills a set of claws across its hide.
