Not sure if that was a Harm spell, but it may be Splinters is immune.

It's Harm. Noted. I'll forget, I'm sure. Just remind me each time. :)

Refunded Rulean one action because his stalwart companions downed the demon before Round 4.

Vermlek identification

Demons.

Now, the way she's been going, if Clover had tried to identify them, you'd probably think they are aberrations.

It's raining Hero Points because your GM feels like he has failed you.

Since I did not create a reasonable, universally applied system to track Hero Points, I am setting everyone's Hero Points to 2 as of now.

There is now a link to your Hero Points in the Campaign header.

Failing us? That seems a bit extreme. We all forget to offer Hero Points to our Players.

1 person marked this as a favorite.
| Extinction | url= |

Yes. I'm intentionally being melodramatic for comedic effect. But I should have created a tracking system, and I do feel bad. There are going to be a lot more Hero Point additions and subtractions for the duration of even 1 book of an AP than a PFS scenario, so I should have set something formal up at the start. :)

Might want to just set story points where you award hero points. That would likely be less bookkeeping and reasonably fair.

That is a completely reasonable suggestion that I am entirely likely to mess up. :)

I gave you the church interior description "early." The book intends for you to safely walk in and see the demons in their distraction. I said, "My players were definitely peak through the holes in the glass," so I wrote that out. Feel free to enter with them unaware and try to sneak up on them.

Can this count as Scouting to give +1 to everyone’s initiative?

Since you can't actually surprise anyone with a spell--barring some feat I've yet bothered to discover--yes, you're still scouting. I'd imagine it as directing everyone where to go and trying to time when to attack.

Does "Coup de Grace" still works in PF2?

Taking damage while Dying increases your Dying level by one (two on a critical hit), but that is when you're Dying, which is typically a condition only for PCs/familiars/animal companions/significant story NPCs. There is no advantage to attacking something that is Dead such as in this case.

| Extinction | url= |

The benefit of invisibility is that it remains Hidden even if you manage to find its square through Seeking, which requires a DC 11 to successfully attack.

Sorry, forgot this when casting the Heal spell.

Rulean has Communal Healing so he would have also healed 2 hp when he healed Ephie. Also, for Ephie I thought the wounded went away if you healed someone to full HP.

| Extinction | url= |

Treat Wounds removes Wounded, even if you do not heal to max.

Other healing (magical, alchemical, battle medicine) must both bring you to max and rest for 10 minutes.

EDIT: Will bot Leaf shortly.

By the way, with the normal mechanics for PF2 the difficulty of giving aid is 20. The difficulty of this task is 20. It is just as hard to Aid as to do the task.

A roll of 10 or less on the Aid would be a critical failure. That would give a -1 circumstance penalty to the roll. If you don't have a good chance of success, you could actually hurt the person attempting the check.

Finally, the bonus from Aid is a circumstance bonus. In the normal rules, it never helps to have more than one person Aid unless you are fishing for a critical success.

You can try to crack the door and peak with a Sneak action, which leaves the door in a position to require an Interact to open fully, or shoo everyone not sneaky out of the way and try to open the door surreptitiously with a Sneak action.

Or you can just open the door and see what happens.

Does "restricted line of sight" mean no targeting spells that require reflex saves, and penalties on attack rolls?

Beyond the cover bonuses, it's only a reminder to pay attention to where the door actually is and make sure you have a line of sight to what you want to target. Effie can target the pugwampi's fine.

Damn goblins! I'm bawling my eyes out after those two natural 20s that will stay unused!

| Extinction | url= |

Apologies to Nabi. I had meant to post this correction earlier but it slipped my mind during the formatting of the next round's post:

Crossbows--like in PF1--require an action to reload. Heavy crossbows require 2 actions, just for additional information.

So your round 1 actions would have been Recall Knowledge, Shoot, Reload, and your round 2 actions would be Stride, Shoot, Reload. 2 bolts used.

F Human (Kheleshite) Rogue 5 Init+5 HP 53/53 AC 21 Fort +7 Ref+11 Will+9 Per +9 spd 25

I was wondering too. I supposed that you could only shoot once with a crossbow, but I'm still lacking precise knowledge of PF2 Rules.

At least I hit!

| Extinction | url= |

That you did, indeed. :)

To go a little deeper into the rules, the ranged weapons have a statistic called Reload. A -- means it's not something you can reload, usually a thrown weapon, a 0 means it takes no actions like firing a bow, a 1 means it takes 1 action, and a 2 means it takes 2 actions.
