Caliban Tre'Athkar |

Assuming Greta demolishes the first cultist with her hammer swing Caliban darts forward, swinging himself around the barricade to face the next cultist in line. Caliban swings his sword with both hands, cutting down at the cultist's arms holding the crossbow.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Damage, Two Hands: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Stop short of Red, same two handed attack

![]() |

Massielo, who has been straightening his pants all this time, finally springs into action and walks towards the enemies and tries swinging over the barricade.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
However, the barricade is in the way, making his swing difficult. He wonders whether he should tighten his belt.

GM Losonti |

Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The traitor, barely clinging onto consciousness after the swing of Greta's hammer, still has enough wits about him to swing his club at Caliban as the elf approaches. The blow is well aimed and powerfully swung, but it harmlessly bounces off of the invisible barrier surrounding Caliban. The mongrelman barely has time for a look of disbelief to cross over his face before he is struck down.
Red is DOA. Massielo, since he died before you went, if you'd like to redo your turn that is okay with me,

![]() |

Massielo stays behind the barricade, since the room is too crowded.

Selann Juris |

Seeing the crowded field ahead, Selann moves up a little and targets the same enemy one more time.
Ranged Touch Acid Splash: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 4 = 15
Damage if that hits: 1d3 ⇒ 3

Fred Junior |

Warhammer vs green: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Junior introduces his new favorite weapon to the cultists. After dramatically running past the barricade, and stumbling a bit on the approach.

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

@GM - I forgot to update my byline - that hits me, the shield spell has expired... OUCH

Benedic |

Benedic uses Junior's attack to shield his movement from the cultists, and swings again at the northernmost enemy.
(Moves through Junior's space, which the rules say does not give cover, so green gets an opportunity attack.)
Longsword vs green: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Slashing cold iron damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

GM Losonti |

Yikes, sorry Caliban. Benedic: While you aren't provided cover by Junior in this instance, you do still get cover from the barricade while passing through, since a line can be drawn from one of that square's corners through the barricade.
Selann manages to thread the needle once more, spraying acid across the traitor's face. He clutches at his eyes, his crossbow falling to the ground, as Benedic's sword slides between his ribs and into his heart. He drops like a sack of potatoes.
I think that just leaves us with Tristan!

Tristan de Lion |

Tristan plans on soaking as many AoOs as possible. On my phone. Double Move if needed.
Tristan smiles. The Inquisitor steadily weaves through traffic in hopes of ending in a Flank position for someone...

Greta Gyllenhår |

How did it get an AoO on Caliban? He had cover from the barricade while he was moving?

Fred Junior |

Tristan it might be better to attack since all their AoO will refresh after their turn.

Tristan de Lion |

For some reason I was under the impression that their were 3 Targets....lol.
Tristan was going to provoke hostilities from the cultist; but, it appears that they are now laying down on the job!
The Inquisitor does move behind Blue.
Melee: cold-iron longsword : 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 61d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

GM Losonti |

Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
How did it get an AoO on Caliban? He had cover from the barricade while he was moving?
It was a readied attack, rather than an AoO.
The last mongrelman holds up his crossbow to block Tristan's slash, losing his grip on it in the process. He draws his club to make one last ditch attempt on the inquisitor's life, but falls short.
Tristan
Greta
Junior
Caliban
Massielo

The entire party is up!

Selann Juris |

Selann just calls out to the mongrelman, "Surrender! You don't have to die for some demon worshiping cultists!"

Tristan de Lion |

Tristan smiles widely at the remaining mongrelman.
Junior! You still got that soap?
Intimidate (Cha): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20

Fred Junior |

Warhammer vs green, demoralized: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (1) + 5 - 2 = 4
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Junior doesn't wait for the cultist to answer Selann. He seems to be too distracted by Tristan’s comment. Junior tries to shake it off.

GM Losonti |

The mongrelman shrinks back from Tristan's smile, but otherwise stands his ground.

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

Caliban, not wanting the cultist to continue to menace his friends, thrusts overhand over the barricade at him.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Tristan de Lion |

Sense Motive (Wis): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Ok; I was getting concerned for the boards....

Greta Gyllenhår |

Greta moves along the barricade, as close to the guard as possible (in between Massielo and Benedic) and readies her hammer to strike if the enemy tries to attack, flee, or alert anyone.
readied attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
for: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 6) + 6 = 17

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Nope, wait is there even still a cultist here...LOL

![]() |

Perception or sense motive (both are +0): 1d20 ⇒ 5
Massielo breathes, letting the stress of the fight leave him. He can't contribute anything more and the room is very crowded. Being far from the cultist, he cannot see how he reacted to being surrounded. He says something, but it comes out in Celestial.
"Just knock him out and we'll deal with him when we leave."

GM Losonti |

I moved Greta to the indicated position. I think that's everyone but Benedic. Is everyone else good with their turns?

Selann Juris |

Selann holds his knife ready, but not attacking. "Look around. Surrender and you live. Otherwise your next breath is your last."

Benedic |

Oops, sorry!
Benedic examines the fallen cultist at his feet, keeping his eye on the other that the group has cornered.

Traitor Orange: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Traitor Yellow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16

Purple vs Tristan: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
The mongrelman wavers for a moment in the face of how quickly his comrades were slain, clearly shaken. But then, the door behind Tristan swings open, with three more of the traitors on the far side, one already swinging a club at the inquisitor. Tristan is too fast for him, though, and expertly parries it with his blade.
In the confusion, the survivor of the first group makes his move and sucker punches Junior in the back with a fist covered in hard chitin. Greta and Caliban try to strike him down for the illegal move, but his hardened skin turns aside their blows. 6 damage

One of the newcomers came into the middle of initiative, so first off we have Tristan, Greta, Junior, and Caliban.

Tristan de Lion |

Tristan grins at Purple.
Intimidate (Cha): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
The Inquisitor then says in Celestial.
End this asshat. I can hold for the moment.

GM Losonti |

The first one through the door reels backwards, clearly intimidated by Tristan's weaponization of Die Hard quotes terrifying countenance. Purple is shaken for 4 rounds!

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

LOL
Caliban grunts, and again swings his longsword in an overhand chop at the mongrelman who punched Junior, You were warned. We offered a change at salvation...
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15
Damage, Two handed: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Greta Gyllenhår |

***If the survivor is dead when my turn starts***
Greta moves up to where the mongreleman just fell and attacks through the doorway at the new arrival.
***If it's not dead when my turn starts***
Greta swings her hammer at the last of the first wave of enemies, hoping to clear herself some room nearer the door.
--if my attack dropped it--
With a space cleared, she moves up next to Junior and prepares to face the new enemies as they come.
Either way...

Warhammer vs blue, demoralized: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 5 - 2 = 10
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Junior is still too distracted by the nightmarish threat of a fishhead soap carving to be of much use.

GM Losonti |

Caliban and Greta strike nearly simultaneously, but Greta is just a hair faster. The head of her longhammer crashes into the traitor's stomach, doubling him over just as Caliban's longsword passes over his head. He's able to recover just in time to fend off another swing from Junior, but barely.
In the room beyond, one of the mongrelmen presses himself against the wall next to the door, his club ready. He hisses something to his comrade in front of the door.

Sorry Caliban, you would've hit but the cover from the barricade is really doing some work for that guy. Massielo, Selann, and Benedic are up!

Benedic |

Benedic concentrates and casts a spell, reaching out to tap Tristan on the shoulder.
Casts shield of faith, giving Tristan +2 deflection to AC.

![]() |

Massielo, with no way of getting close to the fray, lets go of his magical morningstar, grabs his crossbow and tries hitting an enemy through the melee.
Shot of glory into melee with cover: 1d20 + 1 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 1 - 4 - 4 = 9
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 3
However, his lack of training with the crossbow shows.

Selann Juris |

With the cluster of combatants in front of him there is little that Selann can do. He tries to hit the Mongrelman ahead of him wish an acid splash,
To hit, ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 - 4 = 11 And another -4 for cover?
but doesn't even come close....

GM Losonti |

Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Twin projectiles from Massielo and Selann sail overhead the barricade, while the mongrelman blocking the door makes a feint at Tristan to cover his retreat from the terrifying human. Next to him, one of the others takes up a position on the other side of the door, club held ready.

Caliban Tre'Athkar |

Caliban again swings a powerful cut at the head of the mongrelman on the other side of the barricade, trying to keep the attention of the foe so the others can press the new combatants.
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Caliban strikes the barrier again, frustrated by the mongrelman's dodging antics...

Fred Junior |

Warhammer vs blue: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Bludgeoning: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
"What are you? Made of adamant?" Junior takes a step back and a breath. He stows the weapon.

GM Losonti |

Junior receives no reply, as the force of the warhammer blow sends his target on a trip straight to the ground. He does not stir again.

Tristan de Lion |

The Inquisitor yells at Orange; pointing at Purple.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Tristan smiles widely as he dances in-between the mongrelmen. The Inquisitor places himself behind Purple.
AoOs and Readies please...lol! AC 21
The Youth whispers into Purple's ear.
2 Shaken and 1 more looking ripe!

GM Losonti |

Junior, this is a bit late, but I got the damage die wrong for the attack that hit you. Rather than rerolling it (and potentially getting a higher result), I'm going to just treat it as if he rolled minimum damage. The net result for you is +2 HP. Tristan: See here.
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Yellow readied vs Tristan: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 4 + 2 = 15

Orange AoO vs Tristan: 1d20 + 4 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (8) + 4 + 2 - 2 = 12
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Yellow Aoo vs Tristan: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 4 + 2 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Purple AoO vs Tristan: 1d20 + 4 - 2 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 - 2 - 4 = 16
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Just as Tristan predicted, the two flanking the door strike as soon as he steps through it. Clubs rain down on him from every direction, but he parries, dodges, or simply allows his armor to absorb every single one of them. None of their careful positioning or preparation mattered in the least.

Boys just wanna have fun! Thank you for allowing me to play reckless...lol! I built him for it!

Greta Gyllenhår |

Greta moves up to the space Junior’s attack created (where blue was) and swings her hammer at the enemy she can see through the next doorway (purple).

GM Losonti |

I'm so sorry! I totally spaced out on you guys.
Greta's hammer knocks an impressive amount of stone from the tunnel wall, but has no further effect. The only mongrelman not shaken to his core by Tristan circles around cautiously, then swings his club while shouting something to his comrades.

No worries! :)
Benedic charges forward into the room in Tristan's wake, believing that the young inquisitor's movement will shield his own. He slams into one of the mongrelmen with his sword extended.
I don't think bless or the raging song are currently active, right?
Longsword vs purple, charge, flanking: 1d20 + 3 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 + 2 = 27

AC reduced by 2.

Selann Juris |

Seeing an opening in the doorway, Selann rushes up to try and strike the mongrelman to Benedic's left.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
But apparently the gap isn't sufficient for his attack to reach the man.

Fred Junior |

I don't think bless or the raging song are currently active, right?
Right. I'm saving my last 2 rounds of rage for the demons the cultist mentioned.
