Male Human Wizard 1

As you move towards them, the fat human answers loudly: Well, well ... what do we have here boys?
Lukas and Duncan don't notice it but once the human moves forward, Seamus is sure that you are talking with Fat Farlsbag!

The two hobgoblins face you but otherwise do not move.

Farlsbag: What we got here is none of your business, and I would advise you and your friends to turn back and leave.

As Farlsbag talks you notice movement on the tents.
Duncan and Seamus notice at least 2 hobgoblins in each tent.

Rolls:

1d20 ⇒ 16
1d20 ⇒ 2
1d20 ⇒ 12
1d20 ⇒ 14
1d20 ⇒ 4
1d20 ⇒ 10
1d20 ⇒ 15

Seamus whispers to Lukas, That's Fartsbag, or I'm a monkey's uncle

He then whispers to Duncan, One of us keeps the hobgoblins in the tent, the other cuts the main group from the prisoners? I call prisoners, fire man he says with a crooked smile.

Do you think that you can go around wth prisoners, doing what the hell you like with? Let me answer this for you: you can't - Lukas advances a step towards what appears to be the leader of this gang - First I thought of just letting you go with a warning but now I'm thinking if I should just finish you off. Here, in the middle of nowhere, nobody will ever find you. - Lukas leans to the side to hear what Semaus says and then smiles broadly - And it looks like we might still gain a few coins while doing it. You have quite the bounty on that ugly head of yours, Fat Fartsbag

Prepared spell: Darkness. Ready action to cast it if any of them moves to attack. The sword is 1 yard ahead of me

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

HA HA! So you survived the fight and came back for more!
You know, everyone wants me dead, so you really can't frighten me with your threats!

Then he turns and shouts to one of the hobgoblins Drarz you let these getaways! and he enters in a small discussion in hobgoblin with Drarz.

You can turn back and leave, right now I have other matters to attend!

While this happens hobgoblins start coming out of the tents.

DM I hope I can do this but I'm not sure of the rules of the powers and the move/attacks per round...

Crap we should be on each other place Seamus - Thinks Duncan

Seamus we can make a stand protecting the prisoners - he says before moving to P8 (see map)

Once I get there I cast a Fireball catching Fartsbag and the 2 hobgoblins with him.

Kamehame!!

F!!%in... what?!

Surprised by the blast, Seamus quickly gathers his wits and with a shrug decides to just f~$+in improvise.

Using his telekinesis spell, he pulls both tents' front poles, to collapse them.

Do I need to roll something Mathallas?

Pole #1: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 6) = 16 vs 14

Pole #2: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 4) = 9 vs 14

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Duncan moves and round mode starts when he fires the fireball.
Fireball Damage: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 4) = 13
The group of enemies is half surprised by a fireball that engulfs them. They try to evade the blast but with no luck.

Akkramar to act before Seamus

Seamus you hit tent nr 1 (I believe that's the one you want to focus, right? let me know if your skill changes)

I drew the fireball radius on the map.[/ooc]

dices:

3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6) = 15
3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2) = 10
3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15

Without hesitation, Akkramar fires a single arrow shot at one of Fat Fartsbag's legs, in an attempt to prevent any attempts to escape.

All Out Arrow shot (skill is 20+4): 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3) = 15

Leg is -2 to hit? I leave the distance calculations to you.

"Yep, Lukas is good with words..." - he chuckles.

Arrow damage if it hits: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

A small gesture and all hell break loose ...
The fireball hits the 3 creatures, one of the tents collapses, an arrow flies straight to Fat's leg, but he moves his leg just in time to avoid the arrow...

Lukas you are up

3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 1) = 8

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 5) = 8 vs 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8
a little correction Fat does not see Akkramar so the arrow hits his leg.

Lukas steps back and casts his darkness spell trying to encompass the two tents

Focus on the leader, I'll try to slow the others down

Drew on the map. The "other guy" concentrates to change my spell to Ice storm (dropping the sword)

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

One of the enemies faces Duncan wielding 2 daggers.
Another faces Seamus wielding a sword and shield
Farlsbag moves 1 hex and throws a throwing dagger at Lukas: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4) = 11 that flies straight to Lukas.

For those that have dark vision:

2 hobgoblins leave the Northern tent and 4 hobgoblin seem to be having a hard time finding the exit of the tent.

Lukas curses himself for not having his shield ready and tries to dodge the knife

dodge: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) = 9 vs 9

He grins as it passes harmlessly inches away from his face

Mathalas, I don't think darkvision works with my obscure, it's still "regular" vision. Darkness is just a special effect, the example in the book is fog. Infravision does work though

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

You are right, normal vision does not work, but other senses like infravision do.

It's your turn Duncan (Duncan -> Akkramar -> Seamus -> Lucas -> Z'orto)

I cast my breath at the hobgoblin in front of me (trying to catch the boss if possible)

breath damage: 4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 5) = 11

Akkramar fires another shot at Fat Fartsbag's leg.

All Out Arrow shot (skill is 20+4): 3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2) = 7
Damage if it hits: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 5) + 6 = 12

Is 7 a crit?

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Dunca's breath burns both enemies and Akkramar hits Fat's leg again!

Rolls:

3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 5) = 16
3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3) = 13

Seamus casts Improved Dodge and attacks the hobgoblin right next to him

Fast Draw: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) = 9 vs 13

Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 4) = 11 vs 14

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Luka's "friend" picks up the sword, attacks the same foe as Seamus but misses.
Lukas himself retreats a bit more a rains ice on the darkness ball

Lukas and the sword go down 1 hex, I couldn't move the sword

sword12): 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 133d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 5, 6) + 5 = 18
Ice storm: 2d6 ⇒ (3, 2) = 5

I marked the storm on the map (red). It lasts 10 seconds

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Seamus hits the hobgoblin but it seems his armor sustains the impact.
Lukas Ice Storm bombards the area making every hobgoblin able to walk to move away from the area.

Z'orto moves in and closes in the top hobgoblin and attacks him, he hits the hobgoblin making the hobgoblin grunt in pain.

A second hobgoblin surrounds Z'orto that is now attacked by both hobgoblins.
The first one hits Z'orto that attemps to block with his shield but fails and Z'orto cofs sustaining the creature attack.
The second one attacks from the oposite side, rendering Z'ortto's shield useless and he takes a second hit.

Fat and a hobgoblin are now attacking Duncan, both hit Duncan.
Duncan you to decide how do defend.

Seamus is attacked by one hobgoblin that hits him.
Seamus you to decide how do defend.

Lukas is attacked by one hobgoblin hits him.
Lukas you to decide how do defend.

The other hobgoblins seem to be fighting to get out of the tent!

Dices:

3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 3) = 9

3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) = 9
3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15
2d6 ⇒ (4, 6) = 10

S
3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 6) = 12

L
3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 1) = 10

Dodge Fat and DR for the Hobgoblin (or can I dodge more then once?)

Dodge (9): 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8

Dodge: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 2) = 8 vs 12

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

You may select 1 active defense per attack. Your options are:
- dodge as many attacks as you want
- parry as many melee attacks as you want (-4 per each parry after the 1st)
- 1 block with a shield per round

It's your turn guys: Duncan - Akkramar - Seamus - Lukas.

you mean one defence option instead of an attack or by each attack I can choose one of the defense options?

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

1 defense per attack, you can still do your normal attack.
You can see in the Campaign deck slides 3+ the possible actions you have.

Lukas tries to dodge the hobgoblin but he's hit

dodge(9): 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5) = 15

Akkramar fires another shot at Fat Fartsbag's leg.

All Out Arrow shot (skill is 20+4): 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6) = 10
Damage if it hits: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 = 10

Thanks DM :)

Breath no Fat

Breath Dam: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 3) = 14

Seamus casts bull strength and attacks the same hobgoblin again...

Sword attack: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 3) = 6 vs 14

Damage if it hits: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 4) = 11

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

I'll assume Duncan uses his shield for 1 attack after dodging Fartsbag's attack.
Shield: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 4) = 8

Duncan manages to use his shield to block the hobgoblin attack.
He proceeds by launching yet another fire breath over his oponent hitting him full strength.

Duncan:
As you have lifting ST of 17 I'm assuming your armor gives at least 2 DR. Consider selecting your eq/armor.

Akkramar hit's Fartsbag's leg yet again making him shout something in hobgoblin.
After this hit, Fartsbag seems wounded and in pain from the multiple hits he suffered.

Lukas is hit for 12 damage. (before any DR reduction)

Seamus dodges the attack and launches a direct attack that would have hit the hobgoblin if it wasn't for his shield.

Lukas it's your turn

Dices:

3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1) = 12
3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) = 10

Mathallas:
DM, I had this equipment in my char sheet:

Large shild (90$; 25 lb)
Armadura DR9 (4 groin) (345$; 38 lb)
Axe (sw+2 cut) (50$; 4 lb)
Leather Helm Skull/Face DR2 (20$ ; 0.5 lb)
Heavy leather leggins legs DR2 (60$ ; 4)

Lukas reels from the attack and keeps retreating as he draws his shield
The sword attacks the same hobgoblin

Armor blocks 2, my DR blocks 6 and I loose one because its ablative. Sooo... 4 pts of damage

ice storm: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 3) = 8
sword(12): 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 2) = 123d6 + 5 ⇒ (2, 5, 5) + 5 = 17

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

The hobgoblin dodges the Lukas sword attack!
Lukas ice storm puts out the fire and keeps bombarding the hobgoblins still in it!

Z'orto keeps attacking the same hobgoblin, he tries to block the dwarf attack with his shield but fails!!
Z'orto hammer pounds the creature head with such strength killing it in the spot!!

The hobgoblins are still fighting to get out of the tent and only one manages to exit the tent this turn. The creature approaches Akkramar.

Both the hobgoblin and Fartsbag's attack Duncan (and are possible hits)
You notice that Fartsbag's is clearly hurt and doesn't move as well as he used to.

All the remaining Hobgoblins blatantly miss their target!

Spoiler:

3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3) = 7

It's your turn Duncan

Vou continuar no mesmo registo. Com cuidado para não acertar nos refens e focado no Fartsbag

Breath: 4d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3, 4) = 12

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

With a display of his fighting abilities, Duncan dodges and blocks every attack thrown at him!!!

Duncan, it's impossible not to hit at least 1 hostage.
your breath is a cone and will hit either 1 or the other hostage.

In that case I change tactics and attack with the Axe

Axe Attack (14): 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 5) = 9
Dam: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 4, 2) + 2 = 14

I don't know if the dam is correct. Is it sw+2?

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Fartsbag's tries to dodge in a very awkward movement and ends up moving right into the path of Duncan's attack.

Yes, axe is sw+2.
Initiative: Akkramar -> Seamus -> Lukas ...

Dices:

3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 6) = 15
3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 6) = 16

Akkramar moves back and releases a shot at the hobgoblin coming at him.

Or I shoot first and move after - not sure if it makes a difference?

Bow (skill is 20): 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 3) = 13
Damage if it hits: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Seamus casts penetrating weapon and then attacks the hobgoblin to the right (yellow).

Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) = 6 vs 14

Dmg: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 2) = 12 (dividing DR)

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Akkramar fires a single arrow that trespasses the hobgoblin killing him on the spot!

Seamus improved weapon easily slices thru the hobgoblin rags and mutilates his ribs leaving him grasping for air and stunned!

Spoiler:

3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2) = 9
3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 1) = 10
3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4) = 15

Lukas looks around and remarks This is getting way too crowded for me. With that, he moves to the closest safe space he sees: his darknes.
on his way he passes by the ghostly figure, attacking with his sword Still the same one? Kill him already
The creature moves a bit and attacks again

sword: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 6) = 93d6 + 5 ⇒ (5, 2, 5) + 5 = 17
ice storm: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 1) = 7

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Lukas moves into the darkes taking the full hit of his own ice storm!!!
Lukas's sword attacks the hobgoblin but he blocks the attack.

Z'orto enters into an exchange of blows with his opponent but each one blocks the other's attack!

One hobgoblin attacks Seamus and it's a possible hit.

Duncan is attacked by Fartsbag and the hobgoblin, it's a possible hit from Fartsbag and from the dagger of the hobgoblin. (he attacks with 1 shortsword and a dagger)

Fartsbag keeps shouting in hobgoblin and another hobgoblin manages to leave the tent and approaches Akkramar.

Seamus attack was parried and not blocked.
Duncan it's your turn.
Duncan -> Akkramar -> Seamus -> Lukas

Dodge, Block & attack Fartsbag

attack: 1d6 ⇒ 43d6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 4, 5) + 2 = 15
Block: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Dodge: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Scarab Sages

Male Human Wizard 1

Duncan is 3d6 and not 1d6 :)
I will roll for you following the order you defined
I was checking players handbook and the best armor gives you DR 7 but costs 2,300$.
Dunca Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3) = 11
Dunca Block: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1) = 10
Dunca Dodge: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 6) = 13
The armor that you can really have is a Double Mail Hauberk or Steel Breastplate both cost around 500$ and give DR 5.

Duncan blocks Fartsbag's attack but is unable to dodge the hobgoblin attack and takes 12 points of damage (10 blocked in armor and his DR, only 2 pass)

Spoiler:

3d6 - 2 ⇒ (6, 4, 4) - 2 = 12
