Kolris would definitely like to continue.

One other thing, if you roll and win a boon, I will need an email address to pass on to the Official Divine Distributors of the Boons. Just PM me with it.

Glad to see you are okay, Rectitude. You were looking a little green there for a moment.

It's like a troll loosing a limb. You have to find all of Derkhan's missing teeth (among all the various teeth kicked around on the floor under a foot or more of water--easy as finding your contacts), shove them in his mouth, and then use magical healing to reattach them. Otherwise, it's restoration spells, or time in bed.
Thus, far I have collected 9 teeth from four characters, over two tables this con, with one table left to go.
Wait... does that mean that this ability damage is permanent, and must be cleared on the chronicle sheet?

Nope. It is just damage (not drain). Characters recover 1 point per night of rest (8 hours) for each affected Ability Score, or two for a day of bed rest. A new batch of fairies is dispatched in the middle of the night to put new teeth back in I guess.

Kolris' thinking is to search in this last room and then head up, where we can tell Shaine about the imposter, and hopefully confront them with the real Virml as proof.

Sounds good!

Hi! This is a heads up that I'm going camping this weekend. I'm leaving tonight (Thurs) and won't be returning until Sunday. Please bot me as needed!
| The World's Most Interesting GM |
Thanks for the heads up.

I am sorry to report that thanks to a super busy work week, followed by a working weekend, and (in about an hour) a new work week, means I will not be posting today. Be back tomorrow.

Hey team, are you still with us? Fentar, GM, and myself are the only posts in over a week now.
?

Yes, I am still here. Sorry for the low posting.

I've just found it hard to interact with this scenario. I lack many of the relevant skills and I think the esoteric nature of the adventure make it challenging in pbp, at least for me.
I'll try to post to stay engaged. Sorry if I've been a drag.

Yeah, I think TWMIGM has worked hard on this but, honestly, I've felt like a spectator. I still don't really 'get it' either. I suspect we won't unless the villain makes a big explainy speech at the end.
The poem wasn't an interesting puzzle to solve: each verse only made sense (a bit) after the encounter.
As well as not having realistic options (the combat environments meant I didn't even have tactical options) for what to do, I also lost control of my PC regularly.
I just rolled the dice when I was told to and waited for the next piece of (excellent) description by the GM.
All it comes down to is 'because fey', which is the laziest answer imaginable.

And here I was coming to apologize for leaving you guys hanging. Since the beginning of June work's gotten super crazy. My last day off was 2 Sundays ago, and my next won't be until next Sunday (maybe).
Had you talked to Caught a bit more before using the scroll's command phrase his name in the proximity of all the scroll fragments you might have found out a bit of his backstory. He was once a famous and arrogant bard in the prehistory of the world. He made a bet with a powerful fey creature (possibly one of the Elder) to solve the riddle. He guessed wrong, but claimed the fey being cheated, and so was imprisoned in the scroll along with all the characters described in the riddle (who can all be summoned if you know how from the various fragments). Caught's name has been forgotten in the intervening millennia of his imprisonment. When Virml accidentally let him out Caught used the opportunity to first go through the library to see how history had treated him and was sad to see that he had been forgotten. Then with his dander up he sought for a way to confront his jailer and to that end was collecting texts to ind a way to open a portal to the First World. This would have been bad for the Archive had he achieved his goals. So any guesses as to the answer to the ultimate riddle?

Yes, thanks for running!
I have to admit that the riddle confuses me, and the last fragment doesn't help. It leads you to think that the birds are the last to dine, though it implies that the croc will dine on the new birds like he did the ones earlier in the poem, but I don't think that's it.
Kolris would surely know the answer, but I've never been good at riddles. ;) It's the classic roleplaying conundrum: you can easily roleplay a physical skill you don't have, but it's pretty hard to roleplay an intellectual skill you lack.

One bit of finishing that needs finishing over in gameplay.
Thanks to everyone for playing. I should have all the chronicles out by this weekend (hopefully sooner).

Thanks again for the game! Was looking forward to this one, and your GMing is among the best I've seen on these boards. Thanks for a great experience.

Thanks, and good game everyone!
Sorry, again for the wait toward the end there (post-COVID lockdown work blues).
I'll leave the thread active for a couple more days to make sure everyone is good to go.
