Radaghast's reptilian eyes blink open as Yabatha's healing magic works its way through him. He looks up in confusion at the black viscus pool eerily suspended on the ceiling above him. A crowd of people is screaming from somewhere nearby.
Seeing Rad's condition worsen Stormy, still power attacking, tries to bash the ooze off of him.
**KER-SPLAT!**
And just like that, nine tons of caustic ooze comes crashing to the floor... and Radaghast.
Grogbot reaches the end of his club out to Radaghast's snout and shouts "BEAST!! (since I don't recall Radaghast ever introducing himself to the other party members) GRAB THIS!!"
Radagast Reflex save DC 13 (with Grog's aid figured in).
The ooze's space now counts as difficult terrain because of a hip deep pile of ooze.

Zora doesn't know what to make of the battle beside her. Looks sort of like some of those mud fights I saw the guards prompting back in the slave pits...
Focusing again on the screaming eyeball monstrosity, she tries to fire off another sling stone without revealing her position. Unfortunately, she is so impressed with her shot, she accidentally shouts "Yeah!", giving her position away.

Zora takes careful aim at one of the thing's hundred eyes. The eye pops like a zit as the stone hits, but to her horror the thing creates a ringe of tiny eyes out of the crater of the large ruined one. It stops shrieking and giggles. Its eyes grow comically wide then narrow in on Zora. Immune to precision damage.
One of its grinning mouths hocks a loogie her way. Then cheering, it rolls along the floor at her, salivating fiercely, leaving a trail of slime in its wake.

The thing seems to flow around her hands as she stabs at it as if it could see where the strikes were coming from. All the while that Zora is stabbing it parts of it are leering at her, and licking the flesh around its mouth-holes.
Oh no! DR! And flanking doesn't seem to bother it either. While she did connect one, the monster is immune to flanking, and stabbing doesn't seem to hurt it in the least coming from Zora.
Grogbot whacks it on the side with his club, which I am just going to say he upgraded from the broken wreck of the dinosaur display.

In an explosion of goo, teeth, and eyeballs the thing seems defeated, or at least spread very thinly over everyone and everything within twenty-feet. The individual party members all feel (and smell) as though they all need a long soak in some lye to once again feel clean, and Radagast in particular could use a breath mint.
After a few seconds, Grog's eyes recover, though looking around he almost wishes they hadn't.
What would folks like to do now?

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Zora tries to wipe the goo off of her clothes. Finally giving up, she heads over to the Sriptorium door and has a listen and checks to see if it is locked (or even trapped, but why would it be?)
It appears to be neither. The door opens upon a dark, vaulted chamber that seems to serve as the museums scriptorium, a place where texts may be read or copied at leisure. Bare wooden shelves, empty except for some extra writing supplies (sheets of parchment, bottles of ink, and quills), line the eastern wall, and three desks with high stools stand in the center of the room between six columns. A small sign on the southern door reads “Archives—Private.”
A body lies slumped in the southwestern corner dressed in the livery of the Blakros mercenaries, still clutching a truncheon. Its legs seem to have been eaten away by acid, and the corpse is already showing signs of putrefaction, with patches of mold on the skin. A broken lantern lies next to the body, its oil spilled on the floor. The air in the room is thick and musty and difficult to breath.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Peering in from behind Zora, Stormy will cast Detect Magic and look over the room.
There do not seem to be any magical auras in the room, and not much else is detectable from the doorway, except a sort of halo of pale mushroom caps growing above the corpse like creeping ivy on a garden wall.

Medicine: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

The World's Most Interesting GM |

Hard to tell, but there is a lot of unidentified fungus growing on the body.

The World's Most Interesting GM |

The southernmost desk looks to have been used recently—the candelabrum holds the stubs of half-burnt candles, the a couple of the ink bottles look fresher than the dried out bottles on the other two desks, and there fresh ink stains the quill pens. A handful of books and scrolls, treatises on the solar system and the black, empty space beyond, lie open on the desk. Someone has squeezed a lot of marginalia into the empty spaces around the primary texts. It is all written in archaic-looking pictograms.
Stormy notes a scrap of paper on the floor beneath the desk with more notes written in the same hand (and cypher) as the other.
The rest of the paper is filled with drawing of a cylindrical container of some sort with lines that seem to connect it and some arcane symbols to a large circle that looks a bit like the item referenced in one of the books on the desk the Gate of Beyond.
Zora doesn't really know how the man died exactly, but there is a trail of blood leading from the northern door.
Anyone else doing anything? Also make sure your PC is where they are standing. Making a perception check from two rooms to search for something isn't going to be of much use.
