Order of Business
As soon as you can, create your Alias with your character and update your status bar with relevant information such as HP/Max HP, Initiative, and Saves. I'll be making my little cheat sheet in the Campaign Info tab for ease of rolling.
A reminder to post in once a day, and to that end I'll happily share my Discord Tag by DM to anyone who has one so we can make a Discord Chat group. We'll be playing on the Forum but having a place to contact players quickly helps.

Every time I read this campaign's name, I think it's some kind of cooking adventure. Then I remember, lol.
We'll be starting tomorrow! For everyone, I'm in -5 EST so I tend to post in the evening after my work. I try and maintain the same schedule even on weekends.
I'm much the same, though I'm -8 Pacific. Tend to be online between 5:00-9:00 Pacific.

Alright, packing and cleaning's taking longer than planned so here's the shindig. Dot in to the gameplay thread and we'll get the first post tomorrow.
Start thinking about how you all know each other. Obviously Soeji is your common denominator, but have any of you met before? Are some of you close? Are some of you, gasp, rivals?
The more you give me, the better I can roleplay Soeji after all.
Piella has just arrived, but she is a gnome, and gnomes live a bit longer than many races. It is quite possible that anyone traveling through the Piaofeng outskirts may have met her. Due to her high charisma, it is possible to recall her more easily than some if you wish. She also is lame in the leg, and that is a noticeable quality if anyone wishes to connect their character to mine.
Shiro, by design, is rather reclusive (being a ninja). However, he used to make a living running letters, so he may have incidentally met a few people. He almost always wears a mask, which may actually be more identifying, since I doubt it's common practice.
Of course, we could have just met because you like dogs. Gou the Shiba is usually by Shiro's side. Shiro takes time to make sure Gou is looked after, buying dog food getting exercise, the like.
Shiro is respectful to his grandfather, bowing deeply and only speaking when spoken to.
The Mengqin family is pretty well know in the Piaofeng and the Shijing Mountains (and potentially outside as well) her father is one of the more well known masons in town. But everyone in the Mengqin family is a mason so it may strange to see a Mengqin outside Paiofeng Mountains.
Otherwise, Yun’s experience around Shuishang would have put in touch with anyone who interacts with sailors.
I am a tired banana (unlike a smooshie one) from a busy weekend of cleaning, painting, and fighting on Twitter (whyyyyyyyy...) so I shall have to answer this question in a bit.
If the Mengqin family is pretty big in the Shijing Mountains then they may have traded with Piella's family off and on. Piella was a shopkeep for her family's general store. So any food, tools, general supplies, mining supplies and anything you would need to make your way up a mountain would have been on sale there. Plus they also sold jewels found by her family. Anyone with a dog would have caught her attention as she loves animals. Anyone who would hurt animals in her sight could easily be a rival.
Lung would know of the Menqin family name. Lung is a fairly common name, although it doesn't sound that common. Supposedly descended from an ancient line of dragon-keepers. The monastery in Yinxu can be found doing works of charity and performing martial displays or healing in the nearby towns, so it's possible Menqin Yun knows Lung Shanyang.
Monks and gem-sellers don't mix, and the elders of Yinxu probably warned their disciples to stay away from that pretty Piella. Too much temptation :P However, Lung has probably bumped into her, at the worst possible time, with clover in his hair and his nose in a book.

Gou is a guard dog, so he won't move when called by Piella, but he is perfectly willing to be pet. Nice stories so far!

For the sake of transparency, I've DMed our missing member and have yet to hear back. If within 24-48h I have no news, I'll consider we have a four person team.
Going to also give it another 1-2h for Lung to post in. Feel free to talk among each other. After all, that's 50% of the fun of the PbP is building your interpersonal relationships.
I will slowly move along events, but you can always have discussions and then move up to the current ongoing event.
It's been confirmed that Huli-Jing will not be continuing with us. I understand that Paizo's site has been poor on informing you when a new post is up.
I recommend pinning the Gameplay tab on your browser and checking back during evenings (6-8 pm). I tend to post around that time.
