Aloha all! It has been a while since I ran anything on the boards. I have found that I have to run self-contained modules or I get overwhelmed. So, here I am running again!
So here is my thought, I have a few tier 1s that I would like to run, and I have a few tier 2s that I can run as well.
Is there enough interest in this game? We will be using Season 9 rules, since it started 9/17. (Which is a far improvement from Season 8.)
Tier 1 Module (CCC):
I have all four of the Tenets of Bane Series
- CCC-WWC-01 In the Face of Fear
- CCC-WWC-02 Dark Waters of Hate
- CCC-WWC-03 Tyrant of the Forgotten Forge
- CCC-WWC-04 The Black Hand
Tier 2 Module:
DDAL 05-04: In Dire Need (A favorite of mine, good for dwarves or heavy armored fighters)
DDAL 05-11: Forgotten Traditions (never played or run it yet)
DDEX 01-13: Pool of Radiance Resurgent (never played or run it yet)
Anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know!

I'm interested, though I haven't yet played any Adventurer's League games - let me know if there's anything I should know.
(I've grabbed the s9 Player's Guide, and will review it shortly)
Well, for the most part that is all you will need! I will try my best to make it fun for you all!
We just need a third to make it an official table!

It is much more simple than before. You finish an adventure and you gain a level. One person at the table can claim the magic item, if it's been found, and the gold found is split up by the party.
It'll be fun! I will start this up next Wednesday, to see if we can get a little more interest!
Have a nice weekend, everyone!
You can post your characters here in the meantime, so that others can see what you are playing!

I've been debating starting a new PC or not, but I think I will go with my kobold bard, Jiro the Unwilling. The other game I played him in (DDEX 3-12 Hillsfar Reclaimed) gave enough XP for 2nd level, so I think I will update him for that and see if there's anything else that needs tweaking, especially for season 9 stuff.
But I will work on getting him updated tomorrow.

Hello, I am new to Paiso, but I have been playing D&D 5E for about a year now. Is it possible to join your group? If so, what do you need from me? Thank you in advance for your reply.

I think I'm leaning towards the School of Evocation for my Arcane Tradition. I like the idea of being able to exclude allies in an AoE spell. (Although I am new to 5e so am willing to hear suggestions if that's not a good choice)
I'm also trying to pick my 2 new spells. I think this is an even harder part not knowing what is useful in actual game play. (Again - open to suggestions) I was thinking a utility spell like Comprehend Languages could be useful. Not sure if I need another offensive spell yet.

With Buckshot and Ilikemonks, that will close recruitment.
Buckshot, it looks like we are doing tier 1, so a new 1st lvl will be needed if you only have those two characters.
Ilikemonks, if you have played Adventurers League (Organized Play) before, then we will need a tier 1 character. If not, you will need to check out the AL Players Guide and create a character using those guidelines.
Players Guide can be found here.
@Zar, Evocation is a great school, especially for beginners and when you have frontliners. Most of the time, there is a nice mix of puzzles and combat, though some modules lean heavier toward one or the other. I am not sure about these, but I would venture to say that they will teeter between the two and some RP.
Applicant List: Updated
Blacklock - human rogue 1
Donnell "the Fox" - undecided
Jiro the Unwilling - kobold bard 2
Shaldinari Vec - fey pact (tome) warlock 3
Zar Orbmark - wizard (evoker) 2
Buckshot Bob - fighter 1
Ilikemonks - monk?
Looking good!
