I got that wrong. Backspace ^x^x^x^x^x^x
The copy that Lowls has is a necril translation from the Mysterium. He greatly desired the book and the secrets it held, thinking it would restore his reputation in Ustalav, and bring him success. It revealed the location of this lost city to him.
I think that's all Jevar has for now.

I think that's all Jevar has for now.
There are SOME further nuances (like how Lowls’s goals switched from fixing his reputation to unleashing a Great Old One due to said entity’s corruption of him), but that’s is indeed the gist of it.
Ding
”The man wishes for such a minuscule effect by utilizing such dangerous knowledge? Foolishness.” It’s eyes flicker briefly to stare at Kaklatath. ”However, you travel with a being that is not of its true form”
Ding
Yrisolma’s eyes stare deeply at the former-amnesiacs, intent on their next answer.
”Given your strange traveling companion, I must ask: what goals have you for the blasphemous tome known as the Necronomicon?”
Shohreh Kassar
The constant dinging begins to drill into Shohreh's temple. Would that the spell only indicated a lie.
"Men are capable of a great degree of foolishness, for the sake of their pride," Shohreh says dryly. "And I believe our goals are quite simple: remove that accursed thing from this world and beyond the reach of mortals who might misuse it, by means fair or foul."
She pauses for several seconds, her voice softening.
"Lowls may not have been what anyone might call a good man, but neither was he a monster. He saved me, in his own way, and gave me a home and a purpose. I would spare him from the pain of such a fate, if I could, or at least shorten it."

Ding
Yrisolma backs up slightly, its stern gazes slightly less intense.
”Then we are in agreement over the fate of the tome.
Ding
”I request a course of action: if and when you find the tome known as the Necronomicon, you are to bring it to me. In which case I will bring it back to the Heavenly Host to determine its fate.”
Ding
”What say you?”
And I would like to know how truthful your character is being with your answer since, y'know, y'all are in the area of a ring of truth.
Boodiddly
"The book resists dimensional travel," Boodiddly comments. "It appeared to take a considerable amount of effort from Lowls - and perhaps some supernatural assistance - to remove it from its vault in the first place. Do you have a plan for overcoming such resistance? Also, why not simply burn the book or destroy it somehow if you're so worried about it?"

Forgot about that; my bad. Yrisolma would express interest in destroying the book, not taking it back to Heaven.
Jevar Shadowmantle
In that case...
If we obtain it, we will bring it back to be destroyed. Out of curiosity, do we possess the means to destroy it, or even if we did do you need to witness its destruction?
Jevar is telling the truth.
GM Xavier Kahlvet
If we obtain it, we will bring it back to be destroyed.
Ding
”Do not worry yourselves with the destruction of the tome. Bring it to me and I will see to it that the tome and its vile knowledge will be removed from this existence forevermore.”
Ding
”With this deal in place, I will soon move elsewhere.”
Ding
Yrisolma looks up at the tower that the former-amnesiacs stand in front of, its gazes falling squarely on the large double doors.
”I have tracked the path of carnage created by the book to this particular tower.”
Ding
”However, I have been unable to find a method by which to enter.”
Ding
”I suspect the tome’s magic is leading me astray as a defensive measure to keep itself safe from Heaven’s wrath.”
Ding
”So unless this conversation needs to proceed, my next course of action will be to perform reconnaissance on this strange area to determine where the tome truly went.”
Ding
”I have not fully abandoned the notion that the tome is somewhere in this vicinity.”
Ding
”However, I will meet with you before I depart from this place for good.”
Ding
Boodiddly
Boodiddly nods without saying anything, afraid that at this rate he'd start hearing that bell in his nightmares.
Jevar Shadowmantle
Anything that makes this damned bell silent! Jevar thinks (but doesn't say out loud) in irritation.
He looks around at the others.
So, do we wait for him to find a way in or should we start poking around ourselves?
GM: Is the entrance hidden from us too or are the Tome's protections targeting Yrisolma.
GM Xavier Kahlvet
Y’all very clearly see a massive doorway into the tower, and Yrisolma said “there’s no way inside” while looking directly at said doorway. Do with that as you will.
Shohreh Kassar
"We know of a way into the tower that, I suspect, has been hidden from you in some fashion. With any luck, we will find success within and meet you again. Be safe."
Kolgradd Thunderiron
Kolgradd mostly joins Boodiddly in stoic silence, but before moving in he does add after Shohreh's farewell:
"I'll feel a great relief when that book is destroyed"
along with an emphatic nod.
Jevar Shadowmantle
Ah great. I thought it might be implying magical locks on the door or something.
Jevar nods and heads toward the doors.
Detect magic and search for traps (Perc(E) +20)

"I'll feel a great relief when that book is destroyed"
Ding
Without another word, Yrisolma flies away and departs for other places within Neruzavin.
Through the double doors
The walls of this hall bulge and curve with unsettlingly organic concavities. Thousands of sinuous etchings trace their way down the walls, as if the walls were scarred by roots or marred by burrowing worms fleeing some peril from above. Three staircases arch, dip, and intertwine as they ascend dizzyingly to a series of hexagonal passageways. Massive swaths of fungal growths cover the ground floor of this room. Maps Updated
More of the fungal undead break themselves off from the swaths of fungus on the ground as they turn toward the former-amnesiacs. Perched on some of the staircases, though, are two more fungal entities that look less skeletal.
The areas on the map are areas of fungus that’s important for the creatures’ abilities.

Kolgradd attacks White twice with two hard-hitting blows! Two crits. Let’s see if the second one is actually an Advantageous Assault.
White Fort vs crit spec | DC 31: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (9) + 18 = 27 Not sure if frightened applies here, but it doesn’t matter.
And the bonus damage from Advantageous Assault is enough to kill White!

This is probably going to become irrelevant, but since the last Ignition was melee and critted, does it increase persistent fire 7d4 -> 7d6? Also was it applied after BLUE's last turn?
When will you just burn up?! he asks it in frustration, as if it would answer.
He gives it another bonk with the fire club, before stepping back.
◆◆ Cast a spell ignition
Spell attack GREEN, fire damage: 1d20 + 23 ⇒ (9) + 23 = 328d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 3, 4, 1, 3, 2) = 21
On a critical success, the target takes double damage and 7d6 persistent fire damage.
◆ Step W
Kolgradd Thunderiron
1 person marked this as a favorite.
This does not seem at all necessary, but it is too cool of an image to pass up. Assuming blue is still up on his turn of course
Annoyed at all the spores in his face, Kolgradd roars, belts out an incantation at the top of his lungs, and jumps into the air!
◆◆ Cast Blazing Dive
He is thrown straight up as if by his own roar, and then turns and flies down toward the enemy. As he smashes into the ground it explodes in fire and a spray of dirt, which he follows up with a burning, frozen hammer!
Bludgeoning: 3d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 2) = 7
Fire: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5) = 10
DC 29 basic reflex. I think where I've put him make it only get Blue because of Shohreh's height
◆ Strike

Whoops! My bad! You are correct.
Blue persistent fire: 7d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 4, 6, 5, 5, 5) = 31
DC 15 flat: 1d20 ⇒ 19
Jevar sends flames at Blue.
Kolgradd then divebombs and slams his hammer into Blue, killing it! Not gonna bother rolling the Reflex save against blazing dive, because that Strike definitely kills it.

As the former-amnesiacs settle down for a moment to treat their wounds, they notice another individual in the room—this one alive!
A Keleshite man is wrapped in some kind of fungal cocoon at the far corner of the room, but clearly still breathing. When freed from his cocoon, his eyes open.
”Thala? Keetos? What are you doing back down here? The count needed you for the Star Stele. Wait…No…you’re…oh hello.”
The man is clearly delirious, likely as a result of starvation.
What do you do?
