Thank you @Azure_Zero for keeping track. If you want there's also this sheet where everyone can put little details about his character. I've also pinned the link under the campaign's description.

Almost ready to finish off Durst's render,
Still waiting on KGB to post something, then I can work on the height reference image.

My apologies folks, busy few days. I'm working on a human male sorcerer, named Cassander Elsinore. The rough crunch is here.

It's getting late though, so more to follow.

Got an idea of Cassander for the rendering, so I'll start making the height reference render.

Character Heights
More of a note for myself.
Brignond 4 foot 6
Tirel Twins 5 foot 4
Cassander 5 foot 11
Jasmine 5 foot 11
Durst 6 foot 4

Just having all the character models loaded is eating about 14GB of RAM,
so about 2.5 GB of RAM per character.

I'll need to lower some details of the models, as I tried rendering and it Jumped to over 30 GB out of my 32 GB of RAM.

Height Reference First Draft

In order from left to right
Brignond 4 foot 6
Dahlia 5 foot 4
Elaina 5 foot 4
Cassander 5 foot 11
Jasmine 5 foot 11
Durst 6 foot 4

Wow, even cutting the texture maps to a quarter of their size, put the RAM usage at 28 GB while rendering.

Skills added.

GM Diaz Is there anything specific you want to see?

Not for the time being. When all your characters will be ready I'll re-create them in Hero Lab, then I'll upload your stat blocks to add on your profile, already formatted, to make my job easier.

Height model looks good DM Azure. It brings into perspective not only the height differences but over all size difference as well.

♂ CG Sorcerer | HP 7/7 | AC 12 (Tch 12, FF 10) | CMB +0, CMD 12 | F: +1, R +2, W +1 | Init: +6 | Perc: +3

As usual, difficult to find a satisfactory avatar. That said, this one will do. So I need a background for Cassander at this point; where again does this module take place in Golarion?

By the way, made a switch out on the traits - picked up influence for a strong diplomacy score. Figured it would be useful to have a good diplomat in the group.

Edit: By the way, neat renderings Azure. Never seen that in a PbP game before. Cassander looks pretty close to what I had in mind. That said, is it too much trouble to make him a half-elf? I've been thinking I might make Cassander a half-elf, but not if its going to put you out any time, human would be fine.

Male Probably human Computer Scientist 1/ Character Synthesizer 20/ Crazy 99

Takes place here.

Thanks Azure_Hero for the rendering.

♂ CG Sorcerer | HP 7/7 | AC 12 (Tch 12, FF 10) | CMB +0, CMD 12 | F: +1, R +2, W +1 | Init: +6 | Perc: +3

Okay, that helps a lot for background story - thanks Adam!

@Nightfiend
Yeah it really does help in putting things into perspective, that is why I started doing it about 5 to 7 years ago I believe.
I also helps in having everyone have a common image of each player character.

@Cassander
I think the Bardess will have the Face role Covered very Well, since next level I get Versatile performance, which'll have Diplomacy now being a performance roll.
At 6th level it'll be even better.
Also I don't know if the GM is running with enforced encumbrance rules, so a STR of 10 would likely always put you in the medium load and being encumbered.
So you might want a STR of 12 to have a small encumbrance buffer before hitting medium load.
I could try for a Half-elf, but it'll likely only be the ears that change, nothing more, and I only have one or two elf ear options for Male characters.

DAZ Sale:

If folks what to try their hand at 3D rendering (The software is free)
Right now Daz does have a sale on.
If your running a potato or laptop, I'd recommend the Genesis (5th gen), or Genesis 2 (6th gen) stuff at the bottom of the sale page.

Genesis 3 (7th gen) and Genesis 8 (8th gen), I'd recommend more for systems with 8GB of RAM or more, with a GPU with 2GB of VRAM or better.

Also being a platinum club plus helps in getting stuff cheaper.

I think an Absolute deadline for character finalisation needs to be set so we can start, or this game will die before it's even begun.

Fair point. I have a couple issues going on this week, so I would say that we could start next Monday, what do you all say? This way you'll have time to put the finishing touches to your characters.

In the next days I will bring your stat blocks on to Hero Lab and see that there are no errors, also make a TXT file available on Google Drive with the updated stat blocks to post on your profiles. If you also would like a PDF sheet for your PC just ask.

Don't worry about the half-elf change, just going to leave him human I think. My thought was that we maybe could use another demi-human, but really there is no need. I'll also revise skills, the trait can be swapped out for something else.

As to STR 12, do you really think so? As a sorcerer he'll never wear armor, and a backpack can easily be dropped if it's overloaded.

Yeah, the misc adventuring gear tends to add up to something that'll push you to or over the edge for encumbrance, it tends to be between 15 to 20 encumbrance, and that is without clothes, clothes add another 5 to 10 encumbrace. Then add a back up weapon(s) and it'll add another 1-5 encumbrance.

A STR of 10 has a light load of 33, so now you can see how close and bad a STR of 10 is for encumbrance, even for Wizards/Sorcerers.
And dropping it during combat means a sneaky thief might make off with something from it since it'll not be attended, meaning it'll be harder to counter the thief stealing from you.
Also if the group needs to run, you'll need to ditch nearly everything, and might not be able to get it back forever or temporarily, and depending on things, it could be bad for your character until it is retrieved or replaced.
That STR of 12 will give enough of a buffer that these won't be a worry.

♂ CG Sorcerer | HP 7/7 | AC 12 (Tch 12, FF 10) | CMB +0, CMD 12 | F: +1, R +2, W +1 | Init: +6 | Perc: +3

Yeah I guess, but honestly it seems like such a wasted stat for a sorcerer. Eh, I'll sleep on it.

You don't count the clothes your wearing against encumbrance.

Honestly, I think tracking that kind of thing is too much of a headache to really worry about, but then again, I'm not the GM.

Encumbrance is something that players should be aware of, and that STR of 12 will help if you need to use STR skills, or touch/melee attacks.

I've updated Jasmine's description and background to the latest version, and adding some details of her family's curse.

Fair point. Sorry if I got on your nerves. I can be a little, um, opinionated when it comes to some things in d20 systems.

It's not a problem, everyone has their opinions on the various parts of the d20 systems.

Believe me I have a real beef with how they handled creature sizes and the interaction of differing creature sizes in the d20 systems, most people think it's fine as is.

Time of the game approaches,
so who knows who in town since it is a small town?

Maybe RP a bit of the day and or night before the main event?

A Night in the Seven Silvers Tavern.

I'm sorry guys, but I have to delay the start of the campaign by at least a week. I'm feeling awful, got a stomach virus and other health issues at the moment, and I can't really put my strength in starting a campaign as of now. I hope to be alright and be able to start the game Monday, September 30th, if my condition doesn't get worse.

I'm really sorry guys, but I don't know what else to do.

@GM Diaz: Hey, you just get better, alright? We'll be here when you can start and not worry about your health. :)
Hope you get better soon. I know being sick is no fun.

@Azure_Hero: I'm up for some RP.

Elaina had kicked off her boots, a fact that is clear to everyone as she lays in the seat of the chair with her legs resting against the back.

"So how long were we told to wait again," she asks for the third time in the past ten minutes.

@GM Diaz Hope you get better.
Since I'm a co-GM or shadow GM, I could run the day before the quest, so folks get engaged with their characters and interact with NPCs and other PCs, it'll also allow you a peek at some of my GM tools and how they are used for PBP games.

You'd only need to post the intro in the game play thread.
Then I could take it from there and when you return, set most of my aliases to NPC in the campaign tab.

example structure:

you could use the summary below for quick start.

GM Diaz post (the adventure, introduction)

For GM:

could be used for gameplay OP post
Almost 200 years ago, when the land that was to
become Nirmathas was still a vassal of the empire
of Cheliax, the northern reaches of the Fangwood
were a wild and untamed place. The crusades that
laid low the Whispering Tyrant to the north were
a distant memory, and those who remained were intent
upon keeping the orcs of Belkzen and the remaining undead
from Ustalav in check. As a result, the great forest was
full of danger, from marauding orcs to deadly predators,
making it unsafe for merchants hoping to trade with the
growing community of Skelt in the foothills of the Mindspin
Mountains to the west.

Gameplay thread open.

We can RP the previous day in the Gameplay until GM Diaz is better, it'll help in filling in details about your character like;
where they live in Kassen?,
what is there morning routine?
where do they work if they do?
etc

these details help build the image and idea of who the character is, as the where they live quest gives hints as to how much of a city slicker, or country folk the character is, which builds up some personality notes for the player of the character.

I will have a slight delay in posts for today and possibly tomorrow do to extended work days.

I'm hoping we didn't lose anyone due to the delay.....
as right now we only have 3 RPing before GM Diaz gets back....

Figured I'd just jump in, let the RP write the background for me. Cassander will be something of a charming but indolent young man, addicted to a life of pleasure and drinking... nothing like a little dangerous adventure to set him straight.

He'll have grown up in town with his long-suffering mother, and will scratch together a living with odd jobs and busking with his not inconsiderable magical talents. Also swapped in the charming trait, seemed appropriate given the background. I also went on the 12 STR advice, but I took an 8 Wisdom and the irrepressible trait; seemed appropriate for a young, cocksure ne'er-do-well to have a poor wisdom score... probably going to regret that XD

Hope this will work for folks.

Yeah it'll help in build aspects of the character.

Greetings to all,
It is with much grief that I inform you all that I will step down from GMing this adventure. My condition isn't going to be over anytime soon, and while I feel this bad I won't be able to offer you all a decent and constant game experience. I am very sad, but I think you guys deserve someone who can really entertain you, and that person is not me.
The adventure will begin nonetheless, thanks to @DM Azure _Zero who kindly accepted to take my place as GM. I can't thank him enough for doing this, and I hope you all will have a great time playing at what is now officially his adventure.
I hope you all won't bear too much resentment toward me, and that will have a good time playing together. Again please excuse me for this malfunction from my end, I hope everything for you will go just fine.
Thank you for your comprehension and good game to you all.

I'll do what I can to make this a great game for everyone.
I pray you get better, Diaz Ex Machina, and that you enjoy the story I weave with everyone.

I have only the best of wishes for you Diaz. I hope you feel better in the days to come. That being said, because of an unavoidable work expectation, I will also be bowing out. I wish everyone the best in the upcoming game.

@DM Azure_Zero: Due to the same issue with work, I will be bowing out of the Falcon's Hollow game as well. It has been a lot of fun, but work is at a point now that I won't be able to spend enough time to make this work.
